34 years ago my now husband sent me a bouquet of flowers in the FTD rainbow mug with a card that said "Smile, it's Friday" anonymously then asked me out on the phone. I had no idea who he was, it was a blind date for me. I was a secretary at the printing company he worked at. We have been married 32 years this past Sept 1. 🥰🌈🌻
Congratulations my anniversary is the 7th 48 years
That is sooooo sweet! Happy Anniversary and I hope you have many, many more ❤️
Fun. Fun. God bless all
That’s the greatest story!
@@alanwitty1665 happy anniversary!
The adrenaline rush is what we love about finding things in the wilds of Goodwill! Everything wonderful that you find there is unexpected. I just don't get the same rush in an antique mall where I know everything will be good.
You nailed it, that’s how I feel too.
You should consider taking your ham house boxes of stuff and going through them on What Not. You’d sell so much really fast!
This is a perfect job for you. When I get overwhelmed by all the things I need to be doing at home and with family and projects, etc., I want to head for thrift stores to relax and look for treasure. You get to do it as work so you don't feel guilty for not working on home stuff everyday as you are at work. PERFECT!!!
You found so many nice things! Those purses with the lion faces, I believe they are Anne Klein
The print of the boys at the beginning of the video is by the artist of an original painting I found at a Goodwill about a year ago. The boys in my painting are playing musical instruments. I never had so many comments about anything in my cart before. It hangs in a special place in our house!
In 1973 I was working and a flower and gift shop and I can vividly remember pricing new inventory and it was Blenko glass items. I can’t remember pricing the exact piece that you had found at the beginning of your video. I don’t remember exactly how much it was, but it was about $30 or $40 new. I was thinking,”Oh my gosh that is so much money for this!” At the time gas was $.35 a gallon so you can see why I thought it was so expensive!
can remember*
I grew-up about 1 hour from The Blenko Glass Factory. As a child,
I loved visiting & seeing the Artisans making the Glass & visiting their Store in Milton, West Virginia
I am about ten minutes from Blenko and a big collector..because people around here don’t always appreciate you can get great prices at estate sales.
That was le crueset. They clean up relatively easy, depending on what burned on the bottom. Bar keepers friend made into a paste and cover with wet paper towel, in a day or so should mostly wipe off.
That casserole still has 30 good years of use in it!
Yes- chips on the rim and black gunk on the outside are fine...you need to open it and see if the inside enamel is scratched off/cracked or if it is still intact! Black is fine but cracked /missing enamel on the cooking surface means no good for cooking...apparently collectors will still buy them though!
A little over a year ago, when I started watching your videos, you mentioned glassybaby. I never heard of them. Shortly after that video, I found and sold three of them for amazing money. I feel bad you still haven’t found one. But thank you so much, for all of your helpful information.
Today I went to my first-ever estate sale, thanks to watching you and a handful of others I had an idea of what to look for. So much fun!
Cool! I love estate sales. Good deals to be had!
The rugby print was by the artist Gabriela Boulanger
Almost got real excited for you when I saw the rainbow mug I recently flipped a rainbow apple computer mug for $100 practically overnight.
The little bag with the Scottie dog looks like it could be made by Radley! They are quite expensive to buy in the U.K. I have quite a collection of them!
The scotty dog is Radley of London. About $75.
OMGosh looked like a eye glasses case.
@@lindamcnamara7803 I thought it was a crossbody cell phone case. That’s what I would use it for anyway.
It’s a crossbody phone bag. QVC has new ones for $138. And they are more expensive at department stores!
Thanks for the tip!
Also the lovely Dune Handbags are expensive and a good brand here in the Uk 👍
My le creuset pots have France like embossed in the inside of their lids so next time check the inside of the lid if you can't see the bottom
I saw a Pyrex lidded casserole dish!
I know. I was yelling at her to get it. 😆
It’s great when you get to the carts before they put the goods out. I scored a bunch of LE Smith amberina Moon and Stars recently
The little bag with the scottie dog looks like Radley London and some of the purses can be expensive.
Love the Polish pottery,Vintage Mushrooms😍🍄, Fox portrait, and the Fish. Oh! That gold “YAY!” Portrait is neat!
I always love watching your videos but there is never enough said about Andrew he us such a great person always working so hard helps with Laurel his smile is infectious you are one lucky lady to have him in your life and you deserve it
You are such a seasoned thrifter that it is sweet to see joy in your face as you find treasures…especially Blenko water pitcher at a goodwill!
Those mushrooms were everything! What great finds today!
Those mushrooms plaque are from the late 60s to early 70s.
Wow! I haven't seen that rugby print in years!! My childhood doctor had this hanging in the lobby. Seeing it was very nostalgic! Thank you for including the clip you took of it!
Ann Klein handbags are sold at Macy's.
Are you going to give us a tour of your new house now that you are moved in? How the kids rooms are decorated etc. the lions on the bags are Anne Klein…that are expensive
Single candle sticks need love too! I have several mismatched that I group together on my piano or a side table for a beautiful arrangement of glass and light ! Very pretty in either clear or colored glass !
Single bookends work too on any bookshelf to add interest to the shelves !
The yellow flower napkin rings in the plastic bag are Pier One. I know, because i have them as part of my Easter dinner setting.
Try silly putty to make an impression of the indented markings you can't make out. I do it with cast in part numbers on antique car parts. And you can reuse it alot.
What a smart idea.
Great idea! I need to get some.
I take a photo with my phone and zoom in or edit to see the mark better.
@@FlaNative3 I do that too but it’s still hard to see sometimes. Imma try silly putty.
That’s a great idea!!
My daughter had that fox and a rabbit done in the exact same style above her crib 😃 I’d found them at Target
They were so adorable
I think that rugby print was by an artist named Graciela Boulanger and they do pretty well.
I thought so too
The scottydogis radley. Don't know resale value but the are expensive new.
Such a great score today!! You have the best timing on new stuff going out and finding great things in them!!!
The lion head is Anne Klein and sales really well Also that green is really hot this year Fyi
Wow, I think that may be a circa 1850s-1860s clear flint glass spoonholder (spooner or "spill") at 8:25, slightly right of center! Unless it is a repro??? Not sure.
That shelf is not particle board
10:42 ha!!! I'm from Sanford North Carolina
Remembering 9/11 today and seeing those images of the twin towers again, makes me remember how sad and angry I was! Thank you Jocelyn for bringing a little joy to a sad somber day! I'm sure If you were posting videos back in 2001 (you were about 13) you would be a source of comfort for your viewers during a shocking and sad time! Ok enough depressing myself, 4:30 I like the color of that hobbyist planter piece!
Such a fun visit for you and the viewers! Love the Haeger and Blenko!
So jealous of both of those pieces. I'd love the Blenko!
The purses with the lion logo are Anne Klein and would likely sell well enough. Dune London is a nice brand, too.
FYI, for people who want to buy broken pottery or ceramics, there is a way to fix it. There's a compound called Milliput. You repair, sand, paint and if needed shellac. It's amazing. I did a repair on my owl canisters and you can't even tell. ❤️
Ohhh. Interesting.
Hi, just returned from Venice with more Venetian and Murano glass. Will stock my showcase, 1274, on Tuesday, then off to Athens. Safe trip to Springfield, Heidi
Have you ever thought of doing a rubbing of the makers mark on the ones you can’t read, if it has enough texture. Sometimes when making a rubbing you are able to figure out the letters. Like when they do rubbings of tombstones.
I can not believe you picked up that broken doll!!
I think she just took a chance on it thinking it was "something special" since it appeared to have been hidden/stashed. I bet she'll still make money on it.
Japanese gofun doll
Fun haul! That lemon plate would look cute in your sunroom!
You are always so happy and lift my spirits. I love the way you look at things that would make your children happy. Thank you❤
Yay! You found a Yay sign!
I wanted to say I really like your new opening and closing music.
Frankhoma Pottery was just down the street when we lived in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Neat pieces to be found sometimes.
Sooo many treasures today! That Frankoma is divine!
I am still giggling over the mushrooms as they cast be back to mom's kitchen. So fun! This was a fun shopping trip . Happy thrifting
Your videos make me want to hunt the elusive royal Haeger and Blenko for myself! I hope you get some rest before the trip to Ohio!
We’ve got so much to get done in the next two days. 🥴
I have a beautiful large green oval leaf pattern shape Haeger planter I got for only like $15!
That roaster was def Le Cruset, its one of their colorways, sought after color, even in that shape would sell for probably 40-50 bucks.
Yes- but shipping would be expensive! They are Heavy!!
Mushrooms are time warping me back to the 70's!! 😎
For me it's the 90s. In a way
for sure and not my favorite lol
@@judylee1860 girl, same! I may or may not have gagged a bit when she picked it up.
@@judylee1860 My stepmom had those mushroom canisters 😖
That little black phone case you picked up at the end looks like Radley of London. It's a good brand you might want to keep a look out. Great video!
0:59. The big bowl under the plate you are holding is Arthur Court. Part of my wedding registers. About $100 then in 2000.
Scored sterling this weekend, but at a yard sale, not an ill will. Quimper and Deruta too - same place. Around here, finding anything worth buying in an ill Will is a huge surprise. Finding nothing but a waste of time is the norm.
ill will.. lol!!
Yard sales are the best hey!?
That green bag with the lion was an Anne kein Good brand. I love that bag
Boho is big on neutrals, so those Frankhoma pieces would be wonderful in several settings. Good cart!
Those mushrooms are fabulous. I’m always on the lookout for them. My aunt had them in her kitchen back in the day.
Anne Klein uses the lion symbol on their purses.
The little scotty dog is the uk 🇬🇧 bag company Radley logo, quite a costly brand, so that little wallet new is about £50 which is about $58
Goodwills have great prices on furniture but everything else is pretty pricey considering their stuff is donated. Some items cost less new than at Goodwill.
75.oo to 109.oo solds on ebay for that tikiland figurine. Nice find.
Amazing finds today! That purse is perfect for Juliette!
I love the Wedgwood Peter Rabbit things. That soap dish would have joined my collection.
At 7:48 does Jocelyn touch a real Fire and Light item? It looks like it. I saw a recent post on the group where someone found what looked like a covered flower pot.
5.08 the vase might be Swedish or Finnish glass.
I love your new intro. Short and sweet.
I can't wait for the day you find a glassy baby.
This is my go to Goodwill! Last week, I found the vintage Geometric Curler from 80’s. I’ll meet you there next time!!
Great haul. Love Juliette’s fox and yay wall art!
The Scottie dog is ragley they are very expensive in uk
The little bag with the Scottie dog on it is Radley. Brand new here in the UK 🇬🇧 Radley can be quite expensive. Could be worth looking up !! 😊 xx
Love the Fox picture for Juliet so cute mushroom's look like they are from 60's
The mushroom is Home Interiors or Homco now.
That was exciting trip. 😍
I also have couple of pieces from Boleslawiec Its amazing, unique pottery. Looks great on the table.
I buy broken figurines, angels with broken wings, etc because I love imperfect. I would have bought the broken doll for myself so she would have a home. 🥰
Hi 💐That Lion on the purse is Anne Klein and that bright green is popular. They sell $50 and up. That brown Frankoma would sell here with fall ahead.
Love that green purse!
The little black phone purse that you picked up while looking at the doll was a Radley London. The little Scottie dog is their symbol and they are a luxury brand from the UK! I have one of their purses in smooth leather and I love it.
The lion bags are Anne Klein
That was certainly a lot of fun!
Oh my so glad you had a nice haul Take care hope to see you somewhere down the line!
$9.97 I would have grabbed that bookcase, good prices in there.
You passed up that marble salt dish, those are in trend for boho kitchens
That’s something I would’ve picked up… I don’t see them in my area.
I thought it was a mortar without its pestle.
I have that exact Blinko pitcher, but it’s in a different color (deep purple).
Loved all your finds today
That little bag with Scottish dog is quite expensive brand Radley. Check it.
You got a steal on the Blenko glass water pitcher. I have been collecting Blenko for years. I especially collect the water pitchers. I want an old red one but they go for high prices. Blenko Glass is about ten minutes from me and one of my best friends is married to a Blenko. I am really surprised at the great price. If you ever see the Blenko older fish they are about one hundred five dollars now. Love watching you pick at the Goodwill.
Mushrooms would be so cute with your yellow table!
Love your content! 😻
7:39 Princess House Nouveau ceramic pots
My sister got an Asian doll from my Dad's trip to Okinawa when my Dad was stationed in Vietnam in 65-66
Wow. Absolutely love the yellow blenko. I have a blue an red one. I would live a yellow one. Amazing scores today.
The brown round item try silly putty to get the mark on the back
The “lion” purses ste Anne Klein, not high end, sold at TJ Max.
The hand bags with the lion on them are Anne Klein. I love the green one and green is huge in fashion the fall and winter.
I love when you access the haul at the end. I do the same and end up put almost all of it back lol. Because I don't need all any of it lop lo e your vidoes.
The Scotty was Radley of London and are expensive pieces.
Lion logo is Anne Klein
You need to get a magnifying glass to carry with you to read some of the small print on objects. I bet it would help with the signatures.
