The bird clock and the talking fish from the 90s drove me crazy then. Not my thing. I’m 66 and I remember the cat clock that eyes moved from when I was a kid. Would love to have the one my mom had. Trips to the Goodwill can definitely bring back memories. My daughter has snagged my covered Pyrex dishes that were wedding gifts 1975. I never ran them in the dishwasher and the “ harvest gold and avocado greens are still vibrant. My grandmother was born in 1904. I have a lot of her Christmas ornaments from the 1930s and 1940s. When I was a young girl she had bubble lights. I think they were filled with oil. They were beautiful. I bet they were a fire hazard. I love when you come across things that remind me of my grandmothers. Love your channel!
I still have my Mom’s bird clock, the talking fish of my Dad’s , and a reindeer in a rocking chair that rocks and plays “Grandma got ran over by a reindeer “ 🤦🏼♀️ They’re in a box 📦 somewhere LOL.
If your grandma was like mine, we are both very lucky. Mine never got new or got rid of things. A lot of her grandkids love the antique and vintage. We have beautiful things from her. We have beautiful memories.
I LOVE that you are including footage and commentary on your "cart review" at the end of each trip. This is a very responsible thing to do. It's a good example to new resellers on how to edit down one's finds to only the most likely to gain profit. As someone who obviously cares about her audience, I'm sure you're aware that new resellers follow you and emulate your every move. What newbies don't initially realize is that you have a big, loyal following from UA-cam that drives hundreds of buyers to your eBay store -- and you have other outlets for selling your merch, as well. The average newbie reseller won't have anyway near that exposure on eBay/Posh/Mercari, etc. -- and therefore must be even MORE careful to evaluate their choices when thrifting. Thank you!

I’d love to find a Dala horse at goodwill sometime. I found one once at a flea market, but that was in Sweden so probably not very uncommon haha. It was probably from the 1970’s or so. I found another one at Swap Meet that is from the late 1800’s or very early 1900’s that was turned into a candleholder by someone who forgot to put out the candle and the part around the candle hole got badly burnt. I still love it though, despite being in very bad shape and much of the paint worn off it’s a prized possession.
I just love going to the second hand stores with you, Jocelyn. And your beautiful family. I feel part of your journey and say God bless you and your whole family. Thanks and Merry Christmas. God bless us everyone. And your kitchen is so nice and cozy modern. I live in a rooming house, so......
just a head's up... the owner of Salmon Falls Pottery is retiring and selling his factory. I believe his blueberry design was his first pattern. Grab them up!!
God bless you and your home and business. I learn so much watching and listening to you. And you have a real cool personality. Thanks for sharing, Jocelyn.
I love purses but understand they aren’t everyone’s “thing”. A few years ago I sold bags, purses, totes, etc. as the Tennessee Bag Lady. I did very well. 😊
Hi jocelyn the bowl you got from Darryl is truly a great piece. I inquired about it from him a few months ago. His carnival glass is truly amazing. Here at Hamburg Antiques Center we have just unloaded about 40+ totes of vintage Christmas into our shop, and we will be running a 20% off storewide sale Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Hoping to see you and any other local eople stop by. Also wish you and your family a great Thanksgiving Day.
I started, with clothes, did pretty good. Then it just stopped, also clothes have the highest fees on EBay. So I discovered CLL, and she taught me so much. I too always hit the purses, I refuse to spend a lot on them, I find some really cool bags.

Oh my gosh, I absolutely love the Hull pitcher! It is the color of my kitchen & would be perfect to add to my small pitcher collection:) I’ll have to watch eBay for it:)
Jocelyn, you maybe surprised by what you can sell and what people will purchase. I was asked by friends to sell stuff, that I told them I doubt it would sell, but it did and for a nice profit. I was shocked.
Jocelyn, if you soak the item in hot water, the packing tape will slide right off! I do that with a good bit of items that I find with that packing tape on it. Have not had any issues so far.
When you find something that makes you excited about like the antique vase, tell us about it please. Tell us what it is and what to look for. You didn’t say anything about it except it’s an antique vase.
Lemoyne's and Hampden Twp.'s Goodwill stores have really jacked up their prices. Definitely someone is in the back researching the value on pieces. Are they doing this because of people buying and flipping? It doesn't seem to cater to low income people anymore.
I heard that Hampden doesn't price there. It is done elsewhere & brought into them. Goodwill has a new CEO who came from the Las Vegas district I believe.
I don't think Goodwill ever catered to a specific income group. Instead, they sell donated goods to generate income, like any retail concern. Some, but not all, of their profits are directed to helping the disadvantaged.
I enjoy you looking at things that I Never would even se😅. A tip for removing glue, I live in Sweden , I have a product that's called " Label off", it's a clear-petrolbased aerosolspray. I just spray it on and wait some minuets, and then it just wipes of all glue! You should have a product like that in USA. 😃

I love when Jocelyn or Dagny finds wonderful things at thrift stores! Very exciting.

Maybe the glass window coffee sign was donated because the espresso-loving former owner couldn't handle the fact it said "expresso" on it. :)
