Don’t piece out the singer button holder. It will bring the most as a whole kit
The buttonholer has all its pieces plus a couple extras. The template in the little box was not the very desirable eyelet template but look at the rest of them in case it's in there.
Do NOT part out the buttonholer! You want to sell it as complete to get the best value out of it. If it has the eyelet template you can sell that separately.
I am speaking as someone who both uses antique and vintage sewing machines and who sells buttonholers and other sewing machine accessories on a regular basis.
That buttonholer is worth everything.
So adorable with the green case!!
Yes exactly! In the estate sales I work, vintage sewing machines, attachments and supplies/fabrics sell like hotcakes! There is definitely a market for them especially when they have cool shapes like this button holer. Please don't split the set. ,😊
That wooden thing with the prongs sticking out is a utensil to make Mexican chocolate. You put between both hands and rotate.
@roadrunnercrazy Completely agree!
Walked right by a glassybaby "above the clouds" today. My friend stopped and said "hey, isn't this one of those glassy things you're always looking for" and sure enough it was. Also found a vintage Murano art glass free form candy dish. Thank you for educating me on all things wonderful.
Good for you Renee.😁
Fostoria American has 3 seams, while other similar patterns have 4 seams…
They call that buttonholer case a football for obvious reason- came in two colors depending on which type of singer it went to- always on the look out for them as I repair and restore antique sewing machines
Love Corelle! Never forget that I accidentally hit my stove with a plate while drying and the stove chipped, not the plate. Lol
The Singer buttonholer looks like it's for a machine about 60 years old, maybe older. My mother had one of that vintage. It was solid metal, not plastic like new machines.
Those sweet little $20 cabinets would be great display cases for you store!!
Why was I at the goodwill today and when I saw some praying hands I smiled and said to myself.... 'one point for me'....
Good find.....Ditto what Acfenton says. Don’t piece out the button holer. It looks complete to me, which makes it the most valuable. I love it.
I've sold the daisy pottery goblet as a "pedestal succulent planter" and it sold within 24 hours.
That button holer is a super buy! Don't part it out! I used my mom's for years and still have it with her machine. 40s-50s. Hard to find them complete.
I have the same corner cabinet!! It belonged to my great-grandmother! 💜💜
I was thinking that corner cabinet would make a great display piece for littles in your coming in 2023 store or your booth. Love it....very Jocelynesque! 🙂♥️
Elizabeth, I too was thinking it could be used in the store / booth.
@@sharlynebeach2786 Great minds think alike! 🤣🤣✋✋
@@elizabethwitt2621 😁👍
Same! Thought this too
Corner unit would be great to display kitch in your shop. Salt & Peppers, Left on cuties, etc...... just saying 😉
That corner piece is older than mid century.
The one mug you picked up & set back was a Longaberger Pottery Woven Traditions soup/coffee mug…
I picked one up the other day at a thrift shop.
Good to know.
That buttonholer looked like it was all there. It is for an older Singer machine. Just list it the way it is described in the booklet and it will be fine. I wouldn't separate pieces, just sell it all together. I have one just like it with a pink case.
Hello! Did you ever go back when the blow molds were open for sale?
I would love to know, as well....I forgot all about them!
I loved the red and white corner hutch. That was everything lol. Great price too. Great finds today.
The metal torture looking thing was a food grater. It came with a handle and discs that grated different sizes.
I have my mom's Singer sewing machine with that exact buttonhole attachment set. She bought the machine in the late 50's and it still works.
aww, I love the white corner cabinet!! So cute!! I think that could have been farmhouse style too!
I was hoping she would buy it for her shop.
The “torture device” is indeed a torture device! Well, it was to me as a kid!! 😂 It’s missing the handle and discs for it but its a grater. Growing up my mom would buy huge bags of walnuts in burlap bags and we had to sit in the garage on the concrete floor with hammers (imagine 3 kids, 6-9 years old with hammers….) and crack them all and get the walnuts separated from the shells. Then we had to use the grater and grate them all by hand so my mom could use them in baking. My hands would cramp pressing down on the lid to keep pressure on the walnuts and then you used your other hand to turn the handle in circles which turned the grating disc. I’m now 62 years old and still hate walnuts because of that.
It is called a moulie julienne grater and they are fabulous! I use my late mother in law's practically daily.
@@adriennesterner2072 thank you and it’s probably a good thing that my mom never kept hers because I would have driven over it with my car multiple times! Sorry, I’m sure they’re great but for my sister, brother and I it wasn’t fond memories like my mom would have thought we’d have. But then she actually enjoyed washing cloth diapers and ironing everything. 😂
OMG! Your recommendation for Flower Child did not disappoint! It's like stepping into the 60's. Thanks again for recommending it!
My inner monologue when thrifting is so much like yours it scares me. Thanks for sharing your videos and your finds!
My grandma had a corner unit like that … so many feels.
Perfect! It’s Thanksgiving here in Canada and I am relaxing after preparing a turkey dinner eating pumpkin pie and watching CLL. ❤
Happy Thanksgiving.🦃
Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂🥱🦃🥧🍂🍁🏚️

Happy Thanksgiving! 🇨🇦
Happy Thanksgiving from right across the border.
Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canadians
Love the ocean linen with pillow cases ❤️
It's specifically a menorah for Hanukkah - called a Hanukkiah
I love the fish spread and pillow covers.
I’m so glad you got the ABC shelf, that was adorable!!
That comforter! So fun and colorful, what a beautiful set!
CONGRATULATIONS on 250,000 Subscribers!!! Thank you, I appreciate you so much!!
I love the black and white glass platter!
My grandmother bought a new sewing machine in the 60's. It came with that same buttonhole device and box. I just love that shaped box.
Sundays are always great when the CLL pops up on my phone!!🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
love comforter set
Always fun to watch your videos, thanks for sharing ❤
Since you have completely moved in your new house could you show us a video of how you decorated it?
Just the color and shape of the buttonholer case is FAB!! I don't even sew.
I love the bedspread with the pillowcases..the sea theme is gorgeous,so much fun!🐡🐠🐟🐙
That singer button holder looks really cool.I hope all the pieces are there.🙏🏻🤞🏻
You're right about the glass votive holder being PartyLite Candles. I have one.
The Corelle with the hearts was the dinnerware I had when I first got married almost 36 years ago. Kinda sorry I got rid of it.
You are right! That clear glass tea light holder is PartyLite and is beautiful when lit. I used to put a mirror under mine
The comforter set was great!!
I brought a corner hutch at a yard sale for $5 exactly like the one you came across. Had to buy it since it reminded me of the one my mom had in the kitchen. Repainted and it's now proudly sitting in my hall at the lakehouse.
That comfort and pillow set is great
I have the Singer buttonholed and the machine to go with it. I bought it second hand in 1968 right after I got married.
The ABC bookcase needs to be anchored to something / wall. Keep kiddos safe.
The three legged metal thing was a grinder. There were different size grate wheels that went with it. We used to to make grated cabbage salad with one back in the 60’s. Mom had that same Singer attachment for her sewing machine too. Man I feel old! 🙄
I Have the same singer kit / set . It belonged to my mom , she purchased it in the early 60 's. I have had offers of 100 dollars and a bit more.
Loved the bed set
I can imagine that red and white corner cabinet in one of your antique booths, as a display case for your glass or kitchen goodies. Great price, and it would not take much to fix it up.
The corner cabinet could be used anywhere. Good for kids rooms so they can organize and display their treasures.
I have that corner cabinet but it’s painted country blue!!
That bedspread was so fun!
Jocelyn, the goblet at 7:20 is the perfect candidate (style wise) to flip upside down and place a candle atop it, letting it be the focal point in the center of a dining table or on a smaller round table. I love improvising with ways of displaying, to make a single of a would-be set work. Did a quick search on those vintage mugs for a buck fifty, and they are being sold for ten bucks each, plus shipping, all day long. Fun spread and cases. Thank goodness for sniff tests (laughing to myself).
Super goodies. TFS really enjoyed this video. Sending love and hugs to all!
Yes on the Singer Buttonholer!
We have that same corner shelf in our cottage! It was my grandmother’s from her kitchen.
You'll be able to identify the age of the buttonholer by the case. My mom had one from the early 1950s. It was l black, in a thin cardboard box. I know because it was my job to fit all the parts back into that dang 3x5 in box when she finished using it. I would put the one you found as 1970s. After zigzag machines there was no need for buttonholers unless you were sewing heavy fabrics.
Oh……. When you were looking at the fabric there was a “Beautiful Grandmother’s Flower Garden”. Quilt. All Hexagon’s and looked about 1 inch. 😱 So sad you missed it.
the metal kitchen gadget is a hand operated shredder. it is what was used be for there were food processor my Mom had one we used it to shred cabbage. it is missing its handle and the blades.
The metal triangular piece should have more pieces. It is to put food (cabbage) and slice it up by turning the handle. The round blade rotating cut the food as you pressed down in the handle. My mom had one.
At time 8:51 that 3 leg thing is a Mouli, and is a type of grater for cheese and veggies. Parts were missing like the handle and the blades and the rubber feet. Use one almost everyday. That one was very sad.
Too funny. I'm 74 now & using paper plates but I also (like your mom) started out w/Corelle (I remember some design in gold) & upgraded to Pfaltzgraft (April). I wanted Mikasa, they had some beautiful designs. I inherited my mom's "good" set (that was only used on holidays & had a gold rim) & used that until my kids had their own families & didn't wanna wash dishes by hand at my home. I'm still washing dishes, it's th pots & pans I hate. Love how your travels are reminiscent of my younger days. It's killing me that my mom & I gave all that "vintage mid-century" stuff away...to Goodwill. Keep up th good finds. Can't wait to see your house done completely to your satisfaction. B sure to announce th big reveal.
The blue cast iron pan is an au gratin dish. Is it Dru Holland?
I have a brown Creuset au gratin, about that size. Cast iron and going strong. A wedding gift, 48 years old next week.
I LOVE that folkcraft holiday set 😍
Me too! I paused the video and looked it up on eBay... Not worth it for selling, but definitely cool for personal use.
The corelle hearts set is what my husband and I got as a wedding gift in 1991 ...we still have the whole set 🥰
I live the cupboard the red and white .wish that was here in Michigan..
The silver thing you called torture is in fact a cheese grater. It was missing the blades and the knob that turns the blades.
I just love watching your videos
The metal piece you called intense Is missing a handle and a grater disc My Momma had this growing up we shredded alot of Cabbage for coleslaw. That is the real vintage kitchen. Too bad it wasn't complete. Not a torture device😁 Only the time it took to shred that Cabbage may be considered torture for ease.
I bought one of these at a church rummage sale 59 years ago. Paid 10 cents for it. Used it till a leg broke off. I then bought a plastic one, still use it. The handle (crank ) had a red wooden knob, was “L” shaped. It and the disks might be somewhere close.
@@shirleypreston8743 Yes. I still have my Momma's She passed last year. It's still works and is in great condition. She also did nuts and stuff. But was the perfect shred for coleslaw. I got her a black n decker mini chopper. She was amazed at how quick it chopped. But she would go back to her old school one
These were demonstrated at state fairs & such back in the day and came with 3 or 4 disks. I used mine mostly for shredding carrots and potatoes or apples. Sure did make fast work of it. I have a flat slaw cutter that my mother gave me when I got married. Still use it too. Must be about 100 years old by now.
The mug you had in your hand @ 14:34 was Longaberger
Fostoria american usually has 3 mold seams
The Disney cups are the ones you buy at the resorts that are refillable during your stay
Love this haul. 😀 SCORE on the button hole attachment set!!!
Those are not that valuable, I see them every where.
At Salvation Army, the color of the week, are 75% off on Saturday. I do really well there.
I wish it would be a rainy nasty day where I live, I can’t remember the last time it rained here in SE Washington state!
Me too! I'm in Seattle and I don't think it has rained a drop since June. We're no longer known for our rain. When we were kids we would pray for the sun to come out. Who knew it would be like this. I miss my rainy Seattle.
Me too! Northwest Oregon. It will probably be raining when I go camping at the beach in a couple of weeks. I'll still enjoy it!
You are amazingly knowledgeable
Can i ask why they are called wedding boxes ? What are/were they used for ?
Candy . One per table . Or one per couple to take home if you were wealthier.
The cup you picked up was a Longaberger .
✌️🎃Thrift store shopping is so addictive!👍
I got dressed and all ready to go yesterday evening and it was 645, every resale store here closes at SEVEN. I ended up driving around for an hour "just to make sure" they were all closed in my area. Oh well, I'm off today "Columbus Day", I am sure I will find something to quench my addiction thirst. What a letdown Sunday afternoon.
That Corelle pattern was my first set of dinnerware 🙂
You could use that corner cabinet in your shop
I looked up the Solds on that Buttonholer and they are all different. Yours has all the pieces And the original booklet, so you should be able to at least get your money back. But people like to bid your items up a bit so you may get a little more. If you decide to list it. It may surprise you. You just never know.
Love the Doxie figurines.
I would like to know when you post that buttonholes. I would be interested for sure
That was a fun time thanks shared
The funny looking metal gadget is a potato ricer. No idea what the potatoes would be used for. Maybe easier to mash.
I use mine to mash the potato so I can make potato candy
@@sherrypuckett6686 Potato Candy? Never heard of it. Is it an old time recipe? Would you share? Many thanks.
@@cathy7861 yes I will I will get back to u in a day or two you will love it . Very old depression time
Menorahs!! I can never find them here in Canada as my small city has a very small Jewish community. They always sell well
The ABC shelf is not handmade. It is from some mail order type of place, I had that for my son when he was little. I always loved it ☺️
New cart stalker. So funny. 😂😂😂😂 Your little quirky comments always make me laugh. Thanks for sharing. 🥰🥰
Joycelyn the fairy light is newish we have them in the uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Yep. That is party lite.
Love the video 💕💕
speaking of telling you about mugs after you leave the store at 14:34 I believe you picked up a Longaberger mug I could not see the label on the bottom so I am not sure
I was eating dinner & listing & when that guy sneezed or coughed, and your remark had me cracking up, because I was thinking the same thing lol...almost made me spit out my food!
