Finally Back on the GS500E || Takkoni exhaust sound

- Hey guys,
many of you asked me this year what happened to the good old GS500E. And yes, i sold it to a very good friend of me, so i still get the chance to catch a ride with it from time to time. So i had a pretty nice december rideout a few days ago, with 10 degree and partly dry roads. It was a pleasure and a lot of fun riding this bike again, it's still a gem even tho it's now an already 30 years old bike!

Hab eine GS geschenkt bekommen. 2.1. ist die Ummeldung und schaue die ganze Zeit deine Videos. Sehr cool das zum Ende des Jahres noch eins mit der guten GS kommt :D

Ah man still love the sound of the Takkoni on the GS500. Sold my GS500 last summer for a Street Triple R. So I’ve been watching your other videos as well 😅
Same here although i stupidly sold my 675r because i was riding my Tiger 800xc more. Then i crashed the Tiger

Sogut wie legal ja 😂 aber macht spaß find ich, bei größeren bikes kommst selten dazu mal voll alles rauszzholen

Recently picked up a 2000 gs500ey thats been tastefully cafe racered. Having a hard time with getting an exhaust end can to fit tho. The fake Akra it came with has a reduced cone fitting that doesnt seal properly. Bought a nicer end can off ebay but it doesnt fit the header pipe. Where did you get the Takkoni from?
I luckily didn't had any issues like that with the takkoni. I just googled takkoni exhaust and bought it from a Website, can't remember which one though..
@@seemerollin675 thanks, for now i am just going to have to seal up the gap in the joint and wrap it. Great bikes tho. Love it for commuting to work through traffic and scratching around country lanes so light and good lump of power for that level of riding. Handles so well. At some point i want to convert it to a scrambler look
@@Scarletpimp72 yea man, I agree. It's definetly super light and great handling, and as you said great as a everday bike, cheap and reliable, but with enough Power to have some fun. A scrambler build would definetly look sick!👍
