I can remember taking part in the 1997 Pontypridd Reverse 10mile race. Steve Jones, who had just become the Marathon World record holder in Chicago, ran the race, on a bitterly cold February morning. For his warm up, he ran a brisk 6 miles, with some of the handy Bridgend and Swansea runners. He won the race in a more than impressive 46min, considering how hilly the course was, and it was close to freezing as well. As a warm down, he ran a further 6-8mile warm down. That's what separates great champions from the rest of us.
wouldnt every runner choose to do that if they had the money to afford it or if they were sponsored by nike and could get however many shoes they wanted for free for example?
Yo thanks so much for uploading, I was actually the only runner keeping up with him from the starting line until 700m with a backpack, you can see me at 21:27 with the bike's gang 😃 One of the best moments of my life, thanks for capturing!
Escribió en el grupo de whatsapp para ver quien se venía a correr una maratón sub 2 el sábado y sólo estos 42 amigos respondieron. Mo lo dejo en visto 😂😂😂
@@takumich2378 ikr its insane...most of us wont even be able to keep that pace for even 400 to 800m. It still amazes me and this has to be one of the greatest sports feats if not the greatest.

i don't like music on videos too

20:55 look at their speed when the camera is still. Maintain that for a marathon. Incredible.
It insane, it's basically near most peoples sprint speed and they hold it for 2 hours, mind boggling.

also some people really truly love running on a different level than the rest. Some ppl can shut off their brain and run
I love how he wore a different pair of shoes, purely for the warmup.
Yes! That was the first time that everyone saw for first time the alphafly
Really not that wierd when someone is shooting for a WR
It was more for the reveal than any strategy you shouldnt wear shoes you've never worn for a race.
@@donalddarko3676 I believe he was training in the alphafly in Kenya for months before this challenge.
