What would/could be the cause of an LT1 over heating when parking? The car starts overheating fast when I'm slowly manuvering (Few feet forward, few feet back etc) into a parking space Car is fine at all other times Water pump, thermostat, and coolant are all about 1 year old I bled the system Fuses and box LOOKED ok Just put on a new ac delco rad cap Unplugged the WP to test the fans and the drivers side works but NOT the passenger side Neither my AC or the heat hasn't worked for over a year btw
just change thermostat to be safe I used to flush with water hose the heater core both ways. take radiator out flush it both ways. I had cracked head it was from leaving water in block in winter. on my 95 caprice fans don't kick on but car seems cool.
I have heat coming from heater no white smoke coming from Exaust lines are clear all brand new hoses new water pump new thermostat but still gauge says hot soon as I turn on car when I drive it it goes back down to half way mark but if I'm at red light it goes to hot again
What up bro, great video. I had to replace my coolant temperature sensor located on the passenger side of the engine near the spark plugs. I found out the actual wire connected to the sensor was cut. Do you know where that wire connects so I get connect it? Thank you.
Aye are there two wires connected to your thermostat.....some said something was wrong with my thermostat and is missing a wire its a 96caprice and I'm wondering whats wrong with just having 1 wire connected to the thermostat
@@josephmastom1917 mines is doing the same thing. It overheats while parked or within 5 minutes of driving. Starts light smoking white from my left exhaust. I just put a radiator in it
