Why does anyone even answer distress calls from Pakleds anymore? And now that they're no longer a joke, does this mean they can finally get the blasting they deserve.
Wasn't a distress call from the Pakleds. It was a distress call from the other Starfleet ship. By the time they got there the other ship was destroyed and they fell into the same trap the first ship did.
@@compmanio36 The Cerritos answered a distress call from the Solvang, but the Solvang had to answer someone's distress call... and if it wasn't Pakled, then it was someone who answered someone who answered the Pakled distress call. There were parts from at least 30 ships on that Pakled vessel, so eventually, someone had to fall into the original trap to start the chain.
The Pakleds don't *seem* intelligent, but they have a lot of base cunning. Given how they are, they probably figured out to spare the ships they lure in long enough to let them get out a distress call. Then they just snatch up every ship that follows along. "Wait for them to call for help. This will help us."
Damn, of all the people to attack like this the Pakled's were the last one's I expected, right after, say, the Salt Vampires. Also, at 0:39 did Shax seriously start reporting that the grabbing arm thing had latched onto the port nacelle before it actually did?

The pakleds were trying to get the sovereign class Enterprise E and picard instead they got two California class ships(Solvang and Cerritos) and a luna class (titan)
I just realized how much the paklid have in common with the Borg... Maybe some of them were captured by the Borg and then, they got kicked out after the Borg realized they were idiots....
That was definitely the homage. But it was a bad idea there and here, too. Why would you warp in without any clue of what you're about to warp into? The ship HAS sensors, use them.
Probably would help if they didn’t have giant struts between the saucer and nacelles. But the pakleds also became fit like that one weird Superman/Batman style where all the guys were the same build and the women were super tiny.
I’m sure in the actual timeline, the Federation decided to keep close tabs on the Paklets and their activities after the revelations the Enterprises discover when they first encountered them. That’s why we don’t really see them or see them is such an openly opposing manner. Because being what they are, the Paklets would legit be like this if left unchecked, waving all this ‘power’ everywhere at everybody. They’re usually not intelligent enough to wield power properly, instead making it a borderline free for all.
honestly they have an insane amount of fire power i doubt any of this ships could out shot it or out tank it. however any cmpatent romulan oor klingon commander would likely realise this an be able to win an obvisive fact being the pakled ship has no meaningful real defences and it seems pretty slow so id say rmulans and klingons win
Hey, I remember those idiots. Why haven't star fleet dealt with them yet? I mean I know they weren't a real threat when Enterprise met them but, you'd think they would have had star fleet start taking action against them.

Even if the latter isn't the case, it's possible that they've allied themselves with someone else who can help them become more powerful.
Not so, we are already seeing this behaviour within our own species, we have humans who can drive cars but are too stupid to know how some of the features on them work. I have literally asked people to turn on lights and open bonnets and been told I don't know how to do that the car does it for me.
"Ha ha ha! And I thought the Enterprise was strong? We are strong!" (Captain Carol Freeman: "This isn't the Enterprise, this is the Cerritos!") "We thought you were the Enterprise?!" (Captain Carol Freeman: "Pakled's?! What the hell do you want?!") "We want your ship pieces to add to our ship pieces, so that we have all the ship pieces!" (Captain Carol Freeman: "Look. Just stop this senseless attack and let's discuss this like...") "NO!!! We are strong!!! WE WILL CUT YOUR SHIP APART!!!" [still spine chilling]
- Jackabog, 2380 ("No Small Parts")
The pakleds are dumb how did they mistake a California class utility cruiser for a Sovereign class explorer/battleship
@@sethcourtemanche5738 Pakleds can't understand not all ships are called "Enterprise" any more then they understand Freeman isn't Janeway.
Basically, its like their planet is "Pakled planet", they can't detach names from one person or vessel from an entire fleets captains and their ships.
Their language doesn't allow it, but according to lore, Pakleds actually have a really complex communication system using facial expressions, but this cannot be translated into a translator to allow successful communication. Pakled talk to each other much better then with each other. Two Pakleds talking to each other, is basically are like two college professor talking to each other when speaking and using their correct language skills between Pakleds, but transferred to talk in English is what lets them down and they cannot grasp it to save thier life.
Introducing the Pakled Bird of Prey.
Stay strong, cause we still got this one!
This is how the Borg started
Loved this battle!
you know, this show really picked up in the second half of the first season... and this particular episode was the culmination of that.
It started out a little rough, but what show doesnt you knwo.
This episode is the one that got me to watch lower decks
Damn, can you imagine if they'd actually gone to warp like what Ransom ordered? They'd have ended up like the Solvang.
They're phasering the hull! Painful flashbacks of the Borg cutting a hole in the Enterprises hull with their energy beam.
I thought humanity learned never to underestimate jokes back in 2016.
I've seen STNG series about 3 whole times. DS9 once but I plan to rewatch. Voyager 2 and the last episode several times. I HAVE to rewatch Lower Decks
I love how they make fun of the Borg by having the pakleds imitate then :)
Romulans: "Misdirection is the key to survival..."
Hirogen: "Never sympathize with your prey..."
The Borg: "Resistance is futile..."
Pakleds: "We will have all the pieces..."
So weird seeing ships named for small towns around my area.
@@killingragethrowback Solvang was ambushed while surveying a star, it wasn't responding to a distress call.
They probably have found out how to imitate other species' distress calls.
The Pakleds don't *seem* intelligent, but they have a lot of base cunning.
Given how they are, they probably figured out to spare the ships they lure in long enough to let them get out a distress call. Then they just snatch up every ship that follows along.
"Wait for them to call for help. This will help us."
I like how they jumped straight into a debris field thats a nice sly reference,
Wait, did they harvest a god damn _borg tractor beam??_
This soundtrack goes hard
I love the pakleds now there kinda like warhammer orks they ain't to bright and they loot
Damn, of all the people to attack like this the Pakled's were the last one's I expected, right after, say, the Salt Vampires. Also, at 0:39 did Shax seriously start reporting that the grabbing arm thing had latched onto the port nacelle before it actually did?
Okay I'm spotting technologies from: Federation, Klingons, Romulans, possibly Dominion, and maybe Gorn too?
Ferengi
Cardassians I thought I saw a bajoran symbol as well
GORN WEDDING!
And borg tractor beam which passes right through shields.
Breen weapons perhaps their torpedoes thankfully not that energy disruption weapon thing
I can see the Pakleds as being crucial to cleaning up the galaxy.
Cerritos X.O. on the Pakleds... "Carving us up like a First Contact Day salmon!" - (ST:LDX Ep 1.10 - 2:15)
Enterprise-D X.O. on the Borg... "They're carving us up like a roast!" - (ST:TNG Ep 2.16)
Even the score from both eps sounds similar :D
Well, that is what you get for using hyper drive instead of warp drive.
You can't see where you are going and you don't have a deflector to protect you from debris.
Every time I see the cutter beam before it's switched on I think it's a traffic light.
You'd think that the Klingons would have enslaved or murdered all the Pakleds by this point tbh
That's the thing about Pakleds. They know everyone thinks that they're just harmless idiots and not worth the effort. That's how they come out on top.
USE THE CRIMSON FORCEFIELD!
No, THE CORBOMITE DEVICE!!!
Turns out those overly long nacelle pylons _were_ a design flaw.
Never underestimate scavengers.
The craziest part of this is that romulans and klingons tried to help when they got the pakled's fake distress call
The pakleds were trying to get the sovereign class Enterprise E and picard instead they got two California class ships(Solvang and Cerritos) and a luna class (titan)
What if the borg are a time paradox and this was their origin? Wouldn't that be trippy?
I cant hear his voice without hearing "nicey nicey zoo ,zoo for him and her and me and you" - Bob Fossil, the Mighty Boosh.
Best ship to ship action lately, better than Discovery
I just realized how much the paklid have in common with the Borg... Maybe some of them were captured by the Borg and then, they got kicked out after the Borg realized they were idiots....
If Gowron was alive that would have never happened (mostly because the dominion would have won but you know what i mean)
if Gowron saw this his eyes would pop up even more so that would be a critical level for him lol
@@insertanynameyouwant5311 He would break the fourth wall with his eyes like in that fmv game lol
@@lillith3159 yeah, freaking love that game, and the Borg as well.
The title is incorrect, i think you mean Pakleds vs Enterprise
Everyone might be talking about how the Pakleds are a threat but can we talk about 1:58? Who the hell had the tail section?
It's purple color. It possibly a Dominion ship.
@@Krypton853 The species is unknown so it's likely not Dominion.
This scene looks exactly like the movie star trek 2009 where captain pike and crew warp in to the debris field of broken ship pieces
That was definitely the homage. But it was a bad idea there and here, too. Why would you warp in without any clue of what you're about to warp into? The ship HAS sensors, use them.
I like how they turned a joke in TNG into a real enemy for Lower Decks.
If anyone is shocked that Pakleds have borg tech just remember that a shuttle craft disabled a Borg cube on voyager
Man lowerdecks goes hard
I hope that in next season Ceritos will meet Temarians once again. 😏
"We are the Pakled, resistance is...please don't"
You make us go?
How to enrage a pakled? 'Someone stole your wubbie!' ROFLMAO
Oh, those Orks.
A dumbed dowb but accurate voice for most mega alien enemies
I'll be honest - I don't see why they don't just raise shields as soon as they're out of warp.
**gasp**
kitbash fanatics!
xD
Now we know who's responsible for the USS Curry!
Then Shaxs and Rutherford take a kitbashed shuttle (the Sequoia) to board the Pakled ship.
Unfortunately this only further highlights the structural inefficiency in the ships design.
Clumpship vs cardassian galore/keldon destroyer or hutet dreadnought any thoughts
Who's factions do those symbols on the screen belong to? I only recognise Klingon and Romulan, who are the others?
Really wanna see the Pakleds going against the Borg
Don't you wish there was a contract between Paramount and the Lego corporation... Then the Pakleds could have all the Lego pieces... 😁
How would the pakleds fare against a romulan d'derix warbird or a klingon Neg'vargh battlecruiser you think?
honestly they have an insane amount of fire power i doubt any of this ships could out shot it or out tank it. however any cmpatent romulan oor klingon commander would likely realise this an be able to win an obvisive fact being the pakled ship has no meaningful real defences and it seems pretty slow so id say rmulans and klingons win
These Pakleds are soooo…killable
This remind me of the syrian civil war and toyota wars.
Hey, I remember those idiots. Why haven't star fleet dealt with them yet? I mean I know they weren't a real threat when Enterprise met them but, you'd think they would have had star fleet start taking action against them.
Many were shown as traders in the past. It's not like their whole species is doing what they did with the Enterprise. It's still open if this incident is showing an organized Pakled military or not. Starfleet surely has contacted their government(s) and I wish I could listen to Pakled ambassadors. :-D
Because everyone who encountered them are dead?
I wish STLD would come to Australia I need some new star trek even if its not that good
If you get past the first few episodes this show is actually rather good. Atleqast you get the feeling that she showwriter cares about Star Trek.
.....who carves a salmon? Is salmon a carvable food in the future?
Have you never carved a salmon? Must be sad lunch parties.
I think he says "sandwich", but it's cut off in a way that makes it sound like "salmon".
God i swear star fleets shields are level 1 shields from stellaris at BEST
i can only imagine
what happened on the first contact day 7?
Thanks good they didn’t warp
Like I legit wonder why they thought of warping …
Like maybe the previous ship captain wasn’t informed about getting grabbed on the engines
But why did he suggested the idea after getting informed about getting hooked?
So why didn't the Cerritos just shoot back?
The pakled were RIGHT!
I just realized this show names all its ships after cities in CA. Cerritos, Solvang, etc. Is this some sort of joke on my hometown?
The ship's class is named California class
@@nackteHintern Ships of the California class are named after cities in California? Do we actually have logical ship naming in STAR TREK???
Oh, and the Cerritos' shuttles are named after California national parks.
