Mountain gorilla's are my favorite primate. This mom has been a delight to watch with her raising the twins. She seems to STUDY their faces and their whole being. These are fantastic videos.
They can teach humans. Humans are at times abusing, burning, torturing , starving their babies. So are the bf’s and dads. I guess they should be taught by the Gorillas.
I am with you on that one. In fact a lot of animal moms treat their babes better than us. Remember the old films "planet of the apes" series. Ask yourself what if????

It's a horrible place!!! They belong on a mountain side!! Not penned up in a concrete prison with steel bars and a small patch of grass... Theae zoos need to be closed and we need to start protecting their natural habitat where they belong.
Thanks so much for sharing. After watching Koko speak, and she having an IQ level equal to most people, I view them so much more as the intelligent, nurturing and loving souls that they are. Many people, for years to come, can see these incredible, majestic animals thanks to you. I'm grateful!
Seeing N'Gayla cut the twins' nursing sessions a little short reminded me of my Mom advising "when they (babies) get older, you can't let them fill up on milk all the time, they need to eat some solid foods too". That's what I theorize N'Gayla was doing, encouraging them to eat a little solids too. N'Gayla seems like she's doing everything spot-on. I admire her mothering style.

As ngayla gets up she makes vocal sound to let Nwashi nkato and nhasa know she wants them to follow her and nwashi taps mum to let her know she can start walking off. I would look more into Koko and how faulty the ape language research really was. She was sadly mistreated and exploited for most of her life. :(
