Gentaro wanted to get his mother's attention so he became naughty.

⭐️Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
Born in Ueno Zoo on July 3, 2000.
His father is Biju and his mother is Momoko.
His father died before he was born and he grew up never knowing his father.
He came to Kyoto City Zoo in 2010 and is now a father of two sons.
⭐️Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Born on June 24, 1986 at the Kyoto City Zoo.
Her father is Mack and her mother is Hiromi.
When she was 10 years old, she went to Ueno Zoo for breeding purposes.
But she had a bad relationship with another female gorilla, and she injured her fingers and toes with her self-mutilation and lost a lot of weight.
When she returned to her hometown of Kyoto City Zoo, she was fine, and she lived with various male gorillas.
Then she met Momotaro and she gave birth to two lovely sons whom she lovingly raised.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at the Kyoto City zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
He is very close with his younger brother Kintaro and they play together almost every day.
⭐️Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at Kyoto City Zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.

Too Funny!!!! As mad as Genki was, she still told Momotaro enough!
I loved the clip of Genki spitting water at Gentaro. It was a perfect-and non-violent comeback. Through all the attacks by Gentaro, Genki’s reactions were mostly her just fending him off, not actively attacking her older son. She is an inherently peaceful gorilla.
Gentaro looked butt hurt when mom spat the water at him. I couldn't stop laughing.

今でこそ一人の時間を楽しむゲンタロウですが、とにかく暴れたかった。
そんなゲンタロウがたまらなく可愛い。
キンタロウは鍛えられました。
ゲンキは、毎日頑張りました。

肝心なところで、ゲンキの手助けをします。
ゲンキの殺気だった顔つきが、必死でキンタロウを守る強いお母さんの顔です。

Genki is such a loving mom and she made me laugh. She is a peaceful soul but push come to shove she had the greatest effective non violent way of stopping Gentaro's antics with that water pistol mouth. And Gentaro was startled but it was effective. I love Gentaro. He just wants some attention and loving. And he is at that mischievous age. Gosh it would be great to know what she is thinking. Love you Genki girl.

ゲンキは、素晴らしいお母さん。
木箱の中でモモタロウとゲンタロウ。
モモタロウの腕がちょっと動くと、ゲンタロウは、叱られるのを警戒して顔を隠して防御します。
人間の子供も同じような感じですよね。
ゲンタロウは、モモタロウに叱られると、じーっとモモタロウの顔を見つめていた子供の頃のゲンタロウでした。

Oh no 6:16 -6:17 broke my heart. Gentaro got so scared when daddy Momo moved his hand near Gentaro was laying down by his feet. Yes he was a lil terror but he just wanted some attention from his parents. We are so much like them. Humans wants attention too and it comes to a point where it doesn't matter if its good or bad as long as attention is gotten.

Gentaro was terrible with Genki and Kintaro. He is a big boy Gentaro for Genki to carry him around or breastfeed him.

The bags/sleepy eyes of Genki is a sure sign of motherhood. Humans are like this, too, especially when you have small children (Gentaro was only 7 here), and a new baby. I miss these moments of Gentaro's naughtiness. He would do his 'drive bys', and jump from high places to get Genki's attention. Now my beautiful boy is a grown up.I also miss the moments when Genki finally let King Momo near Kintaro. ❤

This is hilarious! I have to say that baby is pretty tough, he gets gabbed by a leg and dragged even, he’s pretty tough. Then he gives his dad the stink eye, he doesn’t seem intimidated at all by his huge father! He’s adorable and the baby, he’s just so cute! I love watching the gorillas, thanks for sharing!
gentaro was very jealous of the baby gentaro was born he had special attention from his keeper that helped raise him then when he went back to his parents they spoiled him of course so now hes not getting all the attention buy it worked he and brother are very close

Dad needed to discipline Gentaro more back on those days, he use to give his mother and Kintaro such a hard time.
Momo didn't discipline him more because every time he did, genki would get mad and chase him around like she was crazy.
@@bigboytoyz541the group always chased the silverback after discipline. It's not new. Momo should have been more assertive in his silverback duties because Gentaro was out of control trying to get attention.
This brings back memories. Genki would not let Momo discipline him, waving her arms in Momo's face. Good times, good times indeed.😅

This is just sad for the baby and Genki. Happy Kintaro survived these and many other onslaughts by Gentaro. No baby should ever have to endure such brutality everyday.

Did you see the wound on his forehead? :( Gentaro was brutal although he didn't really know his own strength and that he was hurting Kintaro. Or, maybe that was the goal. Many times animals will kill the competition.........Males will kill off-spring hoping to throw the mom back into mating. Tigers and Lions do this. Not sure but sweet Gentaro with the big heart was having a hard time with the baby.......Glad Kintaro survived with out dislocated limbs or a concussion/brain damage.
We all see how rough and tumble Kintaro is today- and relentless on Gentaro now that they are more equally matched.
Thank you my lord the people referring to this as just him being naughty or mischievous are out of their minds. So many of those if she didn’t stop him he literally would have dragged Kintaro to death. Honestly the fact the keepers didn’t see this and at least temporarily separate Gentaro from Genki and Kintaro at least until Kintaro was a little older is absolutely disgusting and disgraceful in my opinion.
Gentaro could be so rough with baby Kintaro.
Whatever you call Gentaro naughty or mischievous but he is a darling son and loveable elder brother, lots of kisses to Gentaro and the zookeepers.

I loved it when Gentaro finally got punished by dad and then while laying in the box with him he flinched every time Momotaro moved his hand, like he was going to hit Gentaro!! Well he should have a healthy fear of his dad!! Poor Kintaro could have been really hurt a few of those times when Gentaro drug him around and over things. Poor little guy was crying a few times!!

Mom didn't know how to deal with Gentaros jealousy, you can tell by the way Gentaro looked at her, he just needed some attention, and if she approvenly would of let him hold Kentaro lovenly, showed him how to hold Kentaro, he might of not been jealous, but she didn't get to raise Gentaro at that age, and probably was overly protective over Kentaro, because she didn't want to loose, Kentaro, like she did Gentaro.Momentaro was a good dad trying to protect Kentaro,Ginski looked so happy.
