It's only possible for the US to do it because of all the bonds bought and held by foreigners and because it uses its military power to force countries to trade between each other in US dollars. For other countries, printing endlessly would ruin their currency and their economy.

I am 52 years old and my grandmother used to buy me a treasure bond as a kid for my birthday. This was in the 80s and in the 90s the government called all physical bonds in and went to digital bonds. Needless to say I didn’t get as much money for them because I wasn’t able to let them mature correctly! My Grandmother worked for the Treasury Department and her job was to destroy money, and my grandmother never had a bank account, because she never trusted the government or banks. She would have been a 110 years old this year. She used to hide her money in the walls, and in the back yard. If we could have found her gold eagle coins I would be a millionaire today.

I immigrated from Yugo with a lower degree in economics. Back there we studied all the famous economists, from Karl Marks, John Keynes to Milton Freedman and others. Upon my arrival to US I completed 3 more years of business before switching to computer science. I would say the EU is even dumber--especially Germany. They placed an embargo on Russian gas and oil when they knew it was going to hit their economy very hard (since Russia was responsible for 46% of their gas) and they still have not recovered from it yet.

If the Fed wants to increase the money supply, they will buy treasuries. Conversely, if they want to decrease the money supply, they will sell Treasuries. They make the decision to buy or sell treasuries based on how the economy is going and in accordance with their contractual responsibilities as outlined in the Federal Reserve Act. The Fed isn’t supposed to monetize the debt by buying treasuries from the government just because the government wants more money to spend on wars, for example. But, as we know, that’s exactly what they do which is why our national debt is over $34 trillion. Instead, the government should have been required to raised taxes to increase spending on wars, not borrow it. That way we could have avoided these God awful wars.

We have to realize that money is not actual goods and services. Money is the wagon that carries the goods and services. If we create more wagons but no more goods and services, our wagons will eventually roam the country delivering nothing. Oh, sure, the new wagons can take goods and services from the old wagons for awhile, but eventually every single one of those wagons will be empty and anyone producing goods and services will find a better way to get their goods delivered. If we want people to use our wagons make sure we don’t make more wagons unless we know there will be a corresponding increase in goods and services.

Also I fact checked this comment. The actual numbers are 129.7m were actively employed in the year 2000. 161.7m today in 2024. That's 32m more people currently employed so your original comment doesn't even make sense.
There was only 173m people over age 16 in the year 2000. In 2020 that number was around 261m. We'll say it hasn't changed and take 2024's population count of 333m. That means there's 260m working age adults roughly. Of those 162m are employed meaning around 63% are currently working. Where it has historically been for most of recent American history. Quite literally, what you said is completely untrue.

Its not in-house! The federal reserve holds the majority of the US debt because they purchase the majority of the bonds with funds created from thin air. The Federal Reserve is not a government agency. So the question is, why doesn't the government follow the guidance of the constitution and create the funds. If the government did take back the creation of money by nationalizing the federal reserve, the vast majority of the debt would be owed to the government. Once nationalizing the government counld then forgive the debt.
From that point on the US government could then operate within its means by reducing military debt, fed debt, and stop creating debt by giving funds to Ukraine, Israel, and many other countries around the world.
A good example of how to get out of debt would be Russia!

Wrong. The Fed is not a government entity. It is a private bank. The USA trades treasury bonds for the Fed printed dollars with interest. So the more the Fed prints the more debt we acquire. The USA would actually have to take control of it's own production of dollars to do that.

@@vejay369 Based on my personal experience as a former hardcore atheist/skeptic, I think either Christianity is real, or it's inter-dimensional beings that have led us to believe so. Some say 'aliens' are actually demons, more likely they're not from outer space but are inter-dimensional beings that have always been around us, and UFO's are mostly coming out of our oceans and not our skies.
But I'm still leaning towards demons being real along with spiritual warfare, all three can be real and I guess there's inevitably some crossover. I also don't know if ghosts of loved ones are real, or are just demonic entities mimicking dead loved ones to deceive people, or dark inter-dimensional entities, or both. It's so confusing now. I've had shadow man hauntings though and a very active poltergeist among other things over the years, and with several or more people all experiencing similar things like in my on-campus college apartment where we had the poltergeist and living/working on the family farm when I dropped out(not because of the haunting lol). For most skeptics it would ONLY take personal life-changing experiences, I could easily just be a random stranger on the internet making shit up.
But in any case, I'm convinced literally only the 2nd coming of Jesus could save us in the long-term and even then, a very small minority. Being 38 and having been attractive enough to get asked out and hit on, even SA'd by a few adult women as a minor(nothing major but still), and people would often persist for months or even years, but I've never once used anyone for sex I'm not serious about and I'm proud of that, that must count for something. I'm actually legit still a virgin by choice despite that I still get attraction from much younger women, on occasion even underage or barely legal believe it or not, which weirds me out but i notice it. I've never really even tried to get laid just for the sake of it and reject anyone I don't have serious interest in, or if for other reasons I don't see having a serious LTR.
I've given up on having a healthy LTR let alone getting married and having a family though, so you can't imagine the temptation to just make an online profile and see what happens. But never compromising on my morals, principals, and values is far more important to me whether heaven is real or not. Granted, when you live/work on your parent's farm most your adult life that makes it a lot easier lol, even gave up adult content 10 years ago and do nofap so I'm pretty serious about it.

Wrong. The Federal Reserve prints the money. The Federal Reserve is a private bank, and is not a part of the US government. How are you not aware of that? The USA then issues bonds to the FR in exchange for the money, and pays interest on it.
