I was waiting for a exclusive video talking about your sewing machine for decades. I have an Singer 18-2 and I always wondered why shoemaker sewing machines are Left-handed...this video helped me a lot!
I have a dürkopp adler professional industrial post machine for shoes and honestly I prefer my old Singer 18-2, has a beautiful seam, is way easier to operate and maintain, will never brake and is just way beautiful machine... Offcourse with a post bed you will have more functions and settings but from experience you probably will never use the most part , you will like how freely you can rotate the piece not so much the way it puch the piece, is a very strong puch even when u have the foot spring soft.
Just have in mind that post sewing machines are made for sewing fast and not sewing beautifully or precisely as an 18 type.

Thank you for the advice. I learned that post-bed sewing machines are for fast sewing. I will continue to use this 18 sewing machine as well.

Acabo de sorprenderme y ver que tengo la misma máquina que tú. Soy zapatero aficionado. Y cuándo compré la máquina ( que estaba abandonada) estuve confundido durante un tiempo, porque en la parte donde aparece la palabra de la marca "Seiko" había puesta otra marca "Consew". Pero examinando me di cuenta que todas las piezas decían Seiko. Busqué en internet si existía algún manual y no encontré nada sobre la TF-5. Por suerte con otros manuales de la TF-6 pude entender que me faltaban un par de resortes. Así logré recuperar la máquina y ahora he terminado de construir una nueva mesa para dejarla como nueva. Además de cambiar el motor clutch a un motor servo. Gracias por tu vídeo. Saludos desde Chile.

僕も一足目は意気込んだもののガタガタで落ち込みましたが、今では適当に縫ってもその時より綺麗に縫えます笑

面白かったです！押さえの跡が革に着く場合があると思いますが消すのでしょうか？それも味でしょうか？というのもこの前初ジョンロブ買ったら押さえの跡が結構ついてることに気づいて少しびっくりしました

基本消しません。跡がつきにくいゴムのローラー抑えもあったりします。
今まで動画は全部拝見させていただいておりますが、確かに普通の（裁縫用？）ミシンと逆ですよね。今回の動画で初めて気付きました。
工業用ミシンって武骨でシンプルで丈夫でカッコいいですよね。

建築士の技術で腕ミシンを左右振り替えできるミシンを自作してみればポストミシンを部分越え出来るかもしれませんね。（送りが逆向きになる問題をどう解決するのか）最近TOKYOオトコミシンを知りましたが平ミシンなのが残念、価格的には合格なのですが。
ミシンにはいつも感動するほど構造が素晴らしいのでちょっとやそっとではいじれません笑
17種と18種両方を使い分けるのはアリですね。
