Love your channel. My goodness how is it possible that you look more beautiful without makeup than with?! Norway really makes beautiful people.
Your so sweet😘
18:20 : « I need a pink sweater! » 🎉🤩🙌✨Yes, Inga! Pink is beautiful on you! 🩷
You’re such a prolific knitter. Don’t know how you can keep track of all of it. So inspiring 🎉
You could be wearing a paper bag and you'd still be beautiful!!! Beautiful and extremely talented you ARE, Inga! 💖🥰💖🥰💖🥰
😘😘😘😘
We also have a heat wave in Montreal Canada, nice to know you can go refresh in the lake ! I go to the pool !
I really don’t think you could ever look unkempt! 🥵
I was so happy to see you had posted this! Your Catedral is exquisite! I'm so glad you had the yarn to finish it! That tiny Tulip sweater is precious too. I hope you enjoy your swim! Good luck with the windows -- it does feel really good to accomplish a big task like that. Thank you for spending some time with us!
Your FOs are lovely, especially the Cathedral jumper! Being at your cabin must be such a special way to decompress from your hard work. All the best!
That’s so thoughtful of you Lynn, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
My heat tolerance is low! I thrive in the same range about 16-22C. When it gets warmer than that and I am grumpy! Thanks for the beautiful podcast as always. I've been avoiding some knits that I like because they are bottom-up construction... you've inspired me to embrace the bottom up ways. Your Cumulus Dress is going to be epic.
You look like you're chilling at the cabin ❤ I absolutly love your podcasts and I look forward to everyone of them 😊 You have inspired me to embrace new yarns and make all the things. The cathedral sweater is gorgeous 😍
Oh thank you!
Oh my goodness the tiny baby sweater is too cute! I also love the detail of the neckline on that white sweater :) beautiful!
Lovely episode as always. Thank you! ❤️
Lots of lovely things. seems as though you are beginning to think about starting your own family. If you do, we know the baby will be warm and well cared for.
I agree with you temperature range. Here in north west Canada, it is unusual the go over 25 C in summer but this summer has been extremely hot with temperatures in the high 20's and into the 30's which we are not used to since most of the homes do not have air conditioning. The hot dry weather has resulted in a lot of forest fires. Hopefully Norway isn't having this problem. Your projects are beautiful and I hope you have a wonderful time at the cabin! Cheers-Laura
Luckily we rarely hve problems with firea since its so wet usually here, hope your safe and thtat it cools down abit soon💕
Wow I’m looooving the orange+white combo! Also loving all the baby knits lol I’m such a sucker for tiny little knits. I hope you enjoyed your lake swim! 🥰
Oh I love when your at the cabin!
If your singles comes off the bobbins in the same direction on the Kate you’re good as far as plying. And then turn your wheel in the opposite direction to ply. I have marked my bobbins with an X on one end and always put it on the wheel the same way to make it even simpler
That pink drops yarn will look amazing on you! It’s such a fun, pretty color. 💕
A lovely podcast. The Catheral sweater has turned out beautiful. A steeked Kofti is on the needles. The Cumulus Tee knitted as a dress will look stunning. You have done so much knitting. Enjoy your time at the Cabin
Tusen takk for en koselig episode med masse inspirasjon 😊 God sommer.
One of the best channel for knitting. Thanks a lot Inga. Have a nice summer! I got many inspirations from you😍
Thank you so much 🙂
Hi Inga, I always really enjoy your podcast. I especially liked the footage at the end with mama and baby sheep. I recently returned home to the US after a fantastic trip to the UK where we walked the Hadrians Wall path, the remnants of a 2000 year old Roman wall. Much of the walk was through sheep and cow pastures, and I had more "up close and personal" experience with sheep pats than I could have imagined! I really had to laugh when mama pooped, I was waiting for that! Sounds infantile I'm sure, but I didn't have much experience around sheep prior to my hike. 😂
Thank you for your lovely podcasts, and for the inspiration you always provide. I'll plan to attempt some baby knitting for a friend after seeing your work. And the Tuetle Dove II is now on my to-do list for winter.
Thanks again!
Lovely episode! Lykkeliten has some cute babypatterns. :)
wow, lots of good stuff
All your knits are beautiful as always. I'm happy to see you are continuing to spin. That bobbin looks great. Once you start knitting with your homespun I expect you will find new joy:)
Oh my gosh the romper ❤❤❤
your catredal turned out lovely! Lace pattern is very nice. You won at yarn chicken!
Your garments are so pretty, as always. I think that the tee you are going to turn into a dress would look even more lovely with a small amount of beading. I have not knitted and beaded, but that is on my list to learn.
Thank you for sharing your cat parents beautiful cabin with us, it is so lovely! The temperature here in the Washington DC area is 29-32 deg C. I would love to spend a summer at your temps!! if that is warm to you, I do not know how you tolerate traveling to Turkey. The highest temps I have experienced were when I deployed to the Middle East, it was over 40 deg C.
Pool/ocean and aircondition helps;)
Takk for en koselig episode.
Love the fire place !!!
I think your podcast is amazing and very inspiring:) thank you so much and by the way you never look unkempt.
Oh thank you!
Wow. What a great amount of knitting 🧶. Such a lovely video. Good luck with the 🪟 😊
Thank you! 😊
Inga! Baby knitted garments are beautiful! You make everything sound so easy ! Everything is lovely! I’m still knitting 🧶 socks on wooden DPNs but you never know I’m going to a yarn exhibition being held in Newcastle so who knows I’m might be inspired! Xx 😘
That’s so thoughtful of you Anne, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
The baby sweater is absolutely beautiful 🤍
So inspiring to see all your proyects Inga ❤ and yes the pink looks great on you. I love the kofta and your catedral sweater looks lovely. I am knitting a summer top for my mother and I am about to finish it am very happy. Enjoy the time in the cabin
Thank you😘💕
*spinning*. No it doesn't matter which way your bobbin goes into the lazy kate to ply. What matters is how the yarn is spin, whether its s or z spun. Don't forget you can make a centre pull ball from a single bobbin & ply the inside & outside ends together. It works very well & i always use this method for my handspun yarn. You never end up with bits left over on your bobbin. I've been spinning for 35 years. You don't need a ball winder either. A thumb works well or a smooth stick or nostepin. It makes for very mobile spinning. I often take my e spinner on trips or a turkish drop spindle. Its so portable.
Thank you Inga, Love seeing you and your knits. Hope it cools off for you soon ❤
Thank you so much!
Covid has finally got me and catching up with your podcast is the perfect tonic today! I recently came back from Sweden where I found a great wool store with lots of yarns we don’t get easily here in the UK. Sadly there was not much room in my suitcase but I had to squeeze in some Rauma Finul 😍 I’m looking forward to trying it out 😊
20 Celsius? Oh gosh I wish! Where I live it’s 33 Celsius, 92 F. I wish I lived somewhere colder.
Where I live it is 50 c😅😅
So nice to see you back at the cabin. You had me laughing with the mosquito because I'm dealing with the same thing at my cottage right now. I hope it cools off a bit so that you can keep knitting on all the rustic wool that you love so much. Best wishes!
Thank you💕 enjoy your cottage time
The baby sweater is so cute 😭
I'm looking forward to seeing what you will knit with the pink Drops Air, as I have the exact same yarn here and don't have any plans yet 😄 I love how soft it is, but I made a sweater with it that I wore A LOT and it pilled a lot and in some places pretty much all the fibres have moved out of the tubes they were in, so it looks quite worn now...
You really suit the pink, and you look great with your hair tied back ❤
Oh thank you!
Yay another episode from the lovely Inga!!
Happy Friday from Seattle Washington!
The Catedral is gorgeous..the cream color looks dreamy. I have that pattern in my Ravelry library but probably won't get to it till the winter. I'Im slogging my way through the summer wips :(
Lovely
The 💩 sheep had me in stitches 😂
your spinning looks good! plying, technically you can ply with the bobbins anyway you want and it probably doesn’t matter a ton, but i generally put them on the lazy kate so that the yarn is coming off the bobbin in the same direction on each bobbin
Speaking of learning new things, I'm knitting with suri silk lace held double (Hereditary by Big Little Yarn Co.) for the first time and it feels so soft!
Hello from New Zealand
On ur, Episode 72 about 2 months ago, it is now August 2023
I love the little toddlers cream jumper u made with the zigzag hem, almost looks chunky yarn. Can u please lead me in the direction of where 2 get the pattern please. Perfect 4 our Winter right now, it is a very cold one this year and knitting is in full swing, with baby and toddler chunky yarns, love it all.
Cheers
Crisy
Its the tulip by melody hoffman she has paterns on ravelry as bmandarines or melody hoffman, you can find her on instagram and youtube and patreon aswell💕
Always Beautiful Inga...Thank You For Podcast, Enjoy Your Swim 🌞
Here in the US we call that "sweat equity" when you work hard (unpaid) on improvements to increase your home value or save money on energy expenses. Its a phrase that comes to mind especially on very hot days. Enjoy your summer and days at the cabin!
It doesn’t matter which direction your bobbins face when you ply-just make sure you reverse the twist direction and you’ll be fine! 😊
Good to know! Seriously, theank you😘
Lovlely episode as always. I rekomind you to knit lillesøster rumper from Petite knit. If you want to knit with thicker Yarn you kan knit lillebror rumper.
Have you discovered LittleFrenchKnits by Florence Merlin? …oh so cute, unfortunately it’s not very size inclusive…my babies are 19,21 and 23! Happy knitting ❤️
You finish your projects so fast and they look so neat i almost don't believe you're knitting those yourself lol
Wait...was that last clip at Karmin Garn in Kristiansand? I studied at UiA this past semester and went to that yarn shop on a nearly weekly basis! I loved it!
It is!
🍀
Hello muy bella mujer saludo de chile aysen patagonia
OH MY GOSH the finished romper is soooooooo cute!!!!! Enjoy your work on the cabin! 🌹
I love your Catedral sweater! All the baby knits are adorable! ❤
Thank you! 😊
@@knittingtraditions ❤️
Omg not the sheep pooping 😂
Hahaha!
I have a romper recommendation! I knit the Goldkind Romper by Karen Lundin, and it's a really sweet pattern. There are 2 buttons, but other than that, it's a very simple pattern with just one seam at the crotch. There's some nice lace on the body too (although that could be skipped ofc!) 21 stitch gauge with DK yarn on 3.5mm needles - it was quick even for me as a slow, sloooow knitter 😂
Lovely podcast as always ❤
Thnk you!!🥰 off to look it up now::)
Hi Inga! For the plying it doesn’t matter if the bobbin 🧵 is pointing up or down on the lazy Kate as you say; what would matter would be if you would rewind the whole bobbin and didn’t rewind the other one … hope this is clear info … some people like to rewind their bobbins before plying so all the fibers are aligned from the start to finish of the spin … I have never done that and my finished yarn is great ! Have fun !
Thank you😀
Great knitting in the heat Inga. By the way, how hot is hot (C), is it humid there when it gets hot? The cabin looks so cozy. ❤❤
Hot is 30 C 🤪
Inga, are you expecting? If so, congratulations!
I always look forward to your podcasts. You are such an inspiration. A question for you: since in this podcast you shared the baby garments, I wonder if the patterns you used specified particular kinds of yarn that are suitable for sensitive baby skin. Im thinking that it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on best yarns for baby garments and ones to avoid. Thanks. :)
That’s so thoughtful of you Marina, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
I dont believe it did specify other harns for sensitive baby skin, its aleays doable to find a yarn that will give the same gauge with different fiber content if layering it over a long sleeved bodysuit isnt enough
How will you cook those turnips once they grow and you harvest them? I've never been a big fan of turnips, but I was recently given some and I want to become a fan!
We eat them raw in salads, wash them then slice them thin 🥰
🧡💛💚💜💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💙💜
I'm wondering if you have considered unwinding some of the sweaters you knit and are no longer wearing to 'recycle' the yarn? and if you did, what you made and how it turned out. I love to knit but I am trying to reduce my overall purchases of clothing and that includes yarn to knit something which is more than I really need.
I have a fee times but i think id rather gift them to family then unravel them unless i was unhappy with thw product
Hi love your podcasts, but what I dont understand is how you work on so many project, do you have a schecule for your project,? do you work on 1 a day or multiple projects in one day? I get so overwhemled with more than 1 project, but I also get bored always knitting the same thing, please tell me your tricks
No schedule, no pressure i tend to work on whatever i feel will give me joy, sometimes thats one thing for several days other times i might work on three things in one day, it all depends on what brings me joy in the moment and how much attention a project requires and the right setting 🥰
@@knittingtraditions thanks good advice
HI INGA !!! i get a notification that you've uploaded an episode and i always feel very happy. it's been one hell of a week (last week feels like it happened years ago)

You look just like her. What beauties you both are!
Hi Inga, can you please help me. I am in South Africa and have a Norwegian friend coming to visit. I would love to get some wool from Rauma. Is it an affordable brand?
Have you used the lambs wool?
Or do you have any other Norwwool suggestions.
Thanks.
Enjoy your cabin renovations.
Its affordable wool! They have alot to choose from, i have mostly used the finull lambswool and their thicker vams yarn, but they carry lots of great blends😁
Use lavender oil on your mosquito bites, bee stings and spider bites. It works! At first I didn't believe it, but it does.
Hello from Montana USA
Good to know - horribly allergic to mosquito bites…
I gave a bottle to a woman who had a brown recluse bite on her arm. She said that in two days the bite was noticably healing.
Thanks for the tip! I need to get some
