I cannot agree with this more. I do edit the videos at the end of the day when my energy levels are barely existant, so not speaking is very soothing and relaxing.

It’s nice not to hear someone talking. Knitting vlogs can sometimes come off as self-serving and full of chatter. But yours, they are peaceful, serene, and mindful. Thank you for the balance.
Being an introvert myself.. I so appreciate your beautiful episodes.. no talking, just the sounds of music and birds. So very soothing.. thank you for your gentle way & understanding that there are those of us who really enjoy the quiet way 🫶
I think that I’m definitely in the « extreme » categories of introverted people, probably borderline recluse/hermit haha! I just don’t know if these types of videos will be well received as they differ quite a lot from more traditional knitting ones.

Beautiful video. So lovely to see you spinning. These crafts are so important. I've been doing since my children were about the same age as yours. 35 years. My best advice is practice, enjoy , keep your hands a little further apart & breath into it.

Absolutely. I don’t even interact with people on a regular basis, but I used to be by myself a lot before we moved to France and that was totally fine with me. Now we both work from home and I also have a toddler. My partner even wonders if I’m okay on the days when I barely talk, but these are the days when I feel the most inspired and relaxed haha!
@@Mandarines We are kindred spirits! I so identify with this. I found the lockdown of the pandemic refreshing. It was so nice that this noisy world became quiet and paused for a while. And I find these kinds of films help to affirm it is ok to feel this way. Thank you!

I really enjoyed the vlog. It was so calming and peaceful, it forced me to slow down because i had to intentionally pay attention to the video instead of try to multitask. I also enjoy the vlogs with voiceovers. Please feel free to share your life with us however you feel most comfortable.
That is so very kind and generous of you. I will keep doing more chatty ones as well because sometimes I do have a lot to share. But these days my energy is very limited and it will probably be like this for a little while longer. I just want to be more consistant with my uploading schedule to bring you more content ☺️

I’ll be regarding chatty ones as well because I still have things to say and share, and those would be more appropriate for uniterupted knitting time I think :)

So lovely with a new vlog, it’s good to see you again! I have to say though that the silent vlog is not my favorite, as i usually knit while watching UA-cam and so it’s really hard to follow along with no sounds/spoken words. Your aesthetics are of course beautiful as always, but for some reason I find the vibe or atmosphere of the silent vlog to be a little strange, almost like I’m not supposed to be let inside (if that makes any sense at all?)🤔

90% of my stash is stored in zip-logged bags to prevent from any infestation. The ones that are on display in the studio are inspected constantly to make sure that nothing nasty is nesting or feasting in there!

I loved the silent video. I am an introvert as well. Speaking can be too much after people-ing. (I made that word for when it’s too much)
I do feel this way too, even though I don’t interact with people very much. But I do crave for silence so much. These little videos are like bobbles of quietness for me, but I do understand also that they might not be for everyone :)

Could I also ask would you have any suggestions for a cosy shawl which would be not too difficult for a beginner knitter please? I would like to make one for my daughter in law for when she is nursing the baby and wants to be cosy and warm. Thankyou 😊
I would say that if you are a complete beginner, check out a recipe for a simple triangle shaped shawl in garter stitch. It will get you acquainted with the construction technique :)

I enjoy the spoken videos a lot better. With the silent vlogs, I cannot knit at the same time, which I enjoy doing. I am busy reading the much to fast moving sentences, which are also hard to read when written in white colour. If I slow down the video, the vlog is not only silent, but also in slow motion. That is not very enjoyable for me at all. You can still be an introvert and do spoken videos you know. I mean, we are not actually there when you are recording, lol. Or you could do voice overs. Otherwise I love your content and your makes and designs.
