Really enjoyed this review. Love how you captured the ethos and feel of the book. It’s about home and belonging, culture and expression. Looking forward to discussing it 😀
Glad you so enjoyed this novel! I am looking forward for your in-depth discussion of it and hope my “videos” (read: recorded no-audio PowerPoint presentations😅😆) on the Lore of Tigana will give some helpful context!
Was my first GGK. Writing was beautiful and is fairly slow paced. There are a few scenes that are just oddd and out of place. A habit he has in several of other of his books I have read which I enjoyed more. But stand alones seem so rare these are a good fit between series. Also recommend Curse of Chalion by McMaster Bujold.
I’m so glad you’re loving GGK’s writing! Tigana had a few things I clashed with, but the positives way out-weighed the negatives for me.
So true!
It was nice to hear your thoughts here, and I hope you continue to enjoy Kay! I'll be starting my 8th novel of his tonight!
Thanks Josh! I hope to catch up to you someday :)
