It’s not his feet Devin always had power, if you look at the beginning of his lightweight career he was dropping and knocking dudes out he was just drained so it took a lot away from him at 140 he’s not drained
Yup even devin said himself that he was trying to figure out why in the gym he could hurt and drop people but when he would get to the fight he couldnt and then he realized it was cause of the weight cut and he felt weak in the ring. He also worked his legs out a lot in this camp knowing he could keep an extra 5 lbs of muscle on. I mean his feet and movement were quick, His hands were fast and stinging. It was just a masterclass. He even took that sidestep loma does and used it in this fight. This guy was in the zone.
It's not only that. He always faded in the second part of the fight. I think if he stays at this weight class he's gonna have a great chin and better endurance as well.
When a guy is bobbing his head and coming straight in with flat feet without the jab and not committing to cutting the ring off or making adjustments. You can do what Haney did to Regis, drained is an excuse to avoid 135 killers. Bill haney said they were staying at 135, until it got hot.

Davis don't want to fight anyone that isn't from south America, Shakur thinks he worth over 25%, and Lomachenko didn't want a rematch. With all four belts and no one left to challenge, he finally decided to stop cutting weight and move up. I bet you if Tank says he wants to fight at 140 he'd take it. I bet you if Shakur wanted to fight him at 140, he'd take it.

Haney is gone fight anybody he has a physical advantage over. Regis Prograis is the biggest fighter body wise Haney has fought and he had a 5 inch reach advantage over him. No hate it’s just facts.

I feel like I'm in between casual and novice as a fan and watcher of boxing. I'm 44 to paint a picture of my boxing fandom. A little young to witness Sugar Ray Leonard but just old enough to see Tyson's run in its entirety in boxing and otherwise. After I'd say Lennox Lewis my interest decreased

The fact Haney hurt Regis 3 ot 4 times.....one time, he hurt him and Regis was out on his feet, wobbling back and forth and Haney didn't even attempt to engage...he just watched him rock back and forth let me know he's afraid of getting hurt and don't got a chance in hell to beat Tank

Haney is starting to remind me of Mayweather in terms of style & approach. Great sense of distance, timing & punch placement.
However they do lack something deep that doesn't allow them to put on a show or close a show!
Haney's safety first approach & ability to stick to a gameplan is what will make him difficult to beat. However it's what will hold him back from getting stoppages or excite. Even if there is an opponent completely outclassed or out of the fight there won't be that extra 5% needed to get a stoppage.
Planting your feet is useless if you're not following through with your shots or not putting enough intentions on them or not doing any of the above when your opponent is ready to go.
Almost thought I wrote this haha. I said almost the same thing somewhere else. Haney could have had the knockout Saturday night if only he had been willing to let himself go into a few percent of danger to do it. If he had the hype on him would be 10x what it was. Even though his performance was amazing. It would have been a good fight to do that as well. Because without a doubt he will face more dangerous fights next.

Many fighters would give anything to be put in a position to have an opponent infront of them that is handicapped to the point of being completely outclassed, without any fire coming back. These are the moments you put on a show or try get a highlight reel stoppage.
Otherwise there is no real consequence for the opponent & no real reward as a fan to watch a fighter dominate, yet not change gears the entire fight.
Nothing wrong with being a defensive fighter, but it's not great seeing that same mentality when it comes to being offensive either.
They just need to separate the mics.

What’s to the sound
The issue with the current boxing setup is that the promotional outfits have signed the contracts directly with the networks / platforms. A better path would be to sign through the governing bodies which would place more pressure on getting big championship fights made and prevent the "Wrong side of the street" BS we've seen over the past 5 years
