Definitely Yamaha for me, having owned a WR250, R6, MT07 and a MT09 SP. And the R6 is and will forever be my favourite middleweight sportbike. It's looks will forever make it one of the most iconic beautiful sportbikes.
I’ve been a fan of Honda since I was a kid riding off-road toys. I have two Kawasakis now but still rock a Honda Powersports wing logo on my truck keys
Hey Cruza, I'm 70 YO. I have had Honda's, Kawasaki Suzuki and Yamahas. I've had liter bikes , cruisers etc. All have been 1ST class machines and I enjoyed them all. Now I'm not so strong or so big so now I ride a 23 500 Rebel. I love it . I will soon own an Grom LOL
As long as they both keep making good motorcycles I like both. Only Yamaha I had was a fz-09 great engine but everything else was trash but I had a 2014. I heard they fixed a lot of issues with the new mt-09. Currently I have a cbr600rr and 2023 crf300l rally best of both worlds. Im debating on selling the cbr for a r9 when that comes out
I was a Kawasaki fan boy, but now I have a Yamaha YZF600R. I love this bike, the perfect monda through friday commuter and sport tourer for the weekends! Silky smooth inline four, rides like butter! I am now down with team Yamaha, I bleed blue! 💙
I've only had a Vespa and a Honda so I can't judge, but Hondas build quality is why I got one, ....Yamaha makes really awesome amped bikes in every category, your right Kawasaki makes exciting bikes, Suzuki gixers and busa all day!!
I bought a new cbr300r in 2015. I let my son use it in college. At 1147 miles it blew up. I was following him on my bike. Bad crank bearings. It was a Saturday and the dealer was still open so they came and got the bike. After a month in the shop I got the bike back but it wasn’t right. I ended up calling Honda customer support and they decided to replaced the motor. A recall had been issued on the crank bearing so it was all covered. So total time in the shop was about 12 weeks. I was super disappointed but impressed how they sent a tech down to the local dealer to make sure the installer of the new motor did it to specifications. My son got to drive it 6 miles before it blew up doing 40 ish miles per hour. Made me a bit leery of Honda for putting out a bike that hadn’t been fully tested.
Ive only had Hondas, currently a 2004 vfr800. It is kinda vanilla, but the v4 vtec motor is cool and plenty of torque coming out of corners. Love the looks too
Honda is top 1 in sales and resales market of entire south east asia for many good reasons. Engine stability and suspension mostly. You wanna test? Close your exhaust with hands and hear the pure engine smoothness for few seconds, you will notice the difference. Then you park the bike and try to shift the gears, the gear sound tells you who's better too.
I started on a chinese crf230 clone with supermoto wheels (has about 3500 miles on it with no issues), got an 06 f4i back in December Despite really only riding Hondas I really want a Yami
Brother@ i remember watching yih like 2 or 3 years ago and i was sooooo fuckin jealous that you had like 2 or 3 bikes at once and i was so jealous that i commented some shallow ass comments and (i wasnt expecting this) you replied schooling my ass and i felt like dog shit on a rainy day. But im so fucking happy for you how your shit has grown and you remain the same dude i was watching years ago! You were one of my inspirations to get a streetbike after i got rid of my KLX 250 (bored out to a 307cc). I had the choice between a 2017 z650 amd a 2017 mt07. I didnt do ANY research and it was kinda a surprise buy (gift from my parents) and i just felt more comfortable on the 2017 z650 than the 2017 mt07 and i had a FUCKING BLAST EVERY SINGLE DAY I TOOK HER OUT! BUT im kinda sad i ended up with the z650 because the mt07 was FAR better (in my opinion) and had to sell it a few months ago to make our house payment unfortunately. Im KINDA catching up to the point where i can get another bike (probably a mt-10 or a sportbike like a r6 maybe) but im not there yet and think itll be maybe a year or 2 till i can make that purchase, but once again im fucking stoked that youre out here being awesome n shit! STAY SAFE BRO! MUCH LOVE
First off, thanks for being a long time viewer, I appreciate it. Cool to see you experienced the dual sport life. Sorry to hear you had to sell your bike for financial reasons, life can be a b**ch. I've been there myself, there was a time I had to get food stamps, very humbling. Great to see you saving up for a new bike. The mt-10 will be a great choice. I wish Yamaha would properly redesign it already tho.Best of luck brother and much love back!
@@CycleCruza amen to that bub! And thanks man. You stay safe out there and keep up the awesome content buddy! I'll keep tuning in, just keep pumping these out man! Take it easy!
i agree, though i will say ive had way too many light weight low cc dual sports ove the years and the crf300l (with an exhaust and tuner to open the restrictions up) is by far my favorite of them.
Yamaha, but it depends on the bike. I have ridden and owned both since 1982. My 2001 Champions Edition R1 is my unicorn and the fastest thing I have ever owned. I have a 1995 CBR900RR that loves to wheelie and is far more comfortable on longer rides. I'm turning a 2002 FZ1 into a hooligan bike complete with motocross handlebars and thumb brake. I will ride anything including a 40cc Chinese pocket rocket I got off Amazon for $450. I love Japanese 750 sport bikes. They were the original World Superbikes. I have found that what is fun to ride is what you want, no matter the brand.
You forgot the Honda Rebels - 300, 500 and 1100. I just traded my Harley Road Glide for a Rebel 1100 and I love it. I might have gone with the MT07 but it doesn't have cruse control...or it would have compared better for me.But I love the MT series as well
Hondas always been good at everything, but never the best. I go back and forth between Yamaha and Kawasaki. I have two kawasakis in the garage at the moment. They always seem to have the edge on power!
I’ve only owed Honda’s but, I don’t think u can go wrong with either manufacturer. 98 CBR 600F3 09 919 09 VTX 1800F1 (should have never sold it) 14 Valkyrie (current steed) The only reason I would sell the Valkyrie is if, Honda comes out w/another 1800 shaft drive bike. Maybe.
Boxer/Flat-6 of Valkyrie (Rune) was built to last a lifetime ... unkillable motor that ...!! its manufacturing cost at that time was over $1,00,000 . . . now it would be double, .. lucky buyers got it at 25% of the production cost
Honda is actually better . The performance is close street wise . It's not the track, though . The Yamaha R1 is slow off the line, but really, that's how most race bikes are . And really, very few can harness this power on the street . I would rather have the CBR 1000 . I would rather have torque than horsepower for the street's.
Yeah the track bikes are top end power bikes, even the newer cbr1000rr-r is too. The older cbr1000rr bikes like the 2012 CBR1000rr I owned had more bottom end grunt. However, with all of the amazing naked motorcycles these days there is no need to be riding track bikes on the street anymore. For street, torque is king and for track horsepower is king.
My Honda motorcycle has a little over 150k. Bought it with 103k and I put in 48k in 4.5 years! No issues with this Honda! As far as my opinion I can't due to never owning anything Yamaha. I think they are #1 in bikes though.
The 2020 MT-09 chassis just seemed odd to me, however, that cp3 engine is awesome and sounded amazing. I did a video comparing the mt-07 and mt-09 and why I like that mt-07 better: ua-cam.com/video/4yzczdb-b4s/v-deo.html However, Yamaha made some great changes to the MT-09 since then. I thought about getting 2024 MT-09SP but I don't think it would add much content for the channel.
One of these days, you might get bit by a Suzuki bug. I've ridden Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki. Never ridden a Honda, don't find any of their current products that interesting honestly... maybe the 750 Hornet or the Transalp, but the Hornet isn't coming to the USA, not as of yet. Suzuki does transmissions absolutely the best, both in durability and tactile function. Suzuki has some bulletproof legendary engines as well, very over-built and reliable. If you got to sample an un-corked SV650, you'd love it.
Accually have had all the MTs except the Ive heard about the MT125 actually never had the MT-09 but I do have the Tracer 9GT very close to the MT-09 love tge CPs wife loves her 07 and started on the 03 in my opinion is close to the best if not the best Ist bike Ive always loved YAMAHA since my 1974 DT 125 I bought when I was 15
@CycleCruza I have a 2007 cbr 600 RR. I will never sell it. Fun fact - your old videos inspired me to look at Hondas and ultimately buy it about 7 years ago. Good low/midrange for a 600, decent riding position for a super sport, smooth and fun.
Honda has the build quality especially with their flagship bikes and parts back up. Just look and see how many CBR1100XX Super Blackbirds are still on the road. I've got 68,000 miles on mine and it still runs as smoothly as a Swiss made watch. Yamaha make some great bikes. But will you be able to buy parts in 25 years time?
I agree, when it comes to build quality, Honda is second to none, especially their bikes built in Japan. As far as part availability, I've never kept a bike long enough to know. lol After a certain amount of years part availability can be an issue for any motorcycle or car manufacturer.
@@Tartan1206 I also love the fact that Suzuki sells the same bike unchanged year after year, really shows their “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mentality
Yep, I remember when Honda was always winning the shootouts with their supersport and superbikes. Even Honda cruisers from back in the day were epic like the Honda Magna. I bet Mr. Honda is rolling over in his grave seeing how vanilla Honda has become.
As far as build quality Yamaha and honda are pretty much the same..Yamaha is more premium over honda but now Yamaha keeps discontinuing moldes an nor coming out with replacements..at least honda is putting out bikes people want.. my family has an old saying.. honda honda made of tin ride em out push em in hahah
I find that the best build quality bikes are out of Japan, whether it is Honda or Japan. My for former cbr250r was built in Thailand and the build quality was not as premium as were my cbr600rr and cbr1000rr that were built in Japan. It seems like they build the cheaper models in other countries. However, even the Thailand bikes are still great bikes.
@@CycleCruza I've owned honda and yamaha.. I prefer yamaha.. more premium parts.. as far as sport bikes and cruises I see more yamaha and kawasaki on the road where I live than honda.. some people bleed red some blue and some green.. but at any rate Japanese bikes are the best
Oh come on Cruza. I can’t believe you asking that silly ass question. Yammie R1 models are still the king. All Hail Valentino Rossi. The GOAT. Honda’s are lame AF. Nobody is looking for them.

I wish Yamaha would properly redesign it already tho.Best of luck brother and much love back!
@@CycleCruza amen to that bub! And thanks man. You stay safe out there and keep up the awesome content buddy! I'll keep tuning in, just keep pumping these out man! Take it easy!
To be honest both are excellent. Can’t go wrong with the Japanese bikes but it comes down to what you like go with that and enjoy it
i agree, though i will say ive had way too many light weight low cc dual sports ove the years and the crf300l (with an exhaust and tuner to open the restrictions up) is by far my favorite of them.
I have found that what is fun to ride is what you want, no matter the brand.
i started on a cbr125 and then got a 500r after I got my license, I was going to go for a 600rr but I've always wanted an R6 and i don't regret it.
You forgot the Honda Rebels - 300, 500 and 1100. I just traded my Harley Road Glide for a Rebel 1100 and I love it. I might have gone with the MT07 but it doesn't have cruse control...or it would have compared better for me.But I love the MT series as well
06:50 if y’all didn’t hear anything he said in the video at least take this part into consideration ❤
Hondas always been good at everything, but never the best. I go back and forth between Yamaha and Kawasaki. I have two kawasakis in the garage at the moment. They always seem to have the edge on power!
I’ve only owed Honda’s but, I don’t think u can go wrong with either manufacturer.
98 CBR 600F3
09 919
09 VTX 1800F1 (should have never sold it)
14 Valkyrie (current steed)
The only reason I would sell the Valkyrie is if, Honda comes out w/another 1800 shaft drive bike.
I would rather have torque than horsepower for the street's.
but you have a bicycle :)))
Why do you like the chassis on the MT 07 better than the 9? Is the 7 more comfortable to you?
The 2020 MT-09 chassis just seemed odd to me, however, that cp3 engine is awesome and sounded amazing. I did a video comparing the mt-07 and mt-09 and why I like that mt-07 better: ua-cam.com/video/4yzczdb-b4s/v-deo.html
However, Yamaha made some great changes to the MT-09 since then. I thought about getting 2024 MT-09SP but I don't think it would add much content for the channel.
@@CycleCruza thanks for the reply!
*NEW VIDEO:* Yamaha MT-07: What They DON’T Tell You
ua-cam.com/video/BIH5tYyGGFY/v-deo.html
What's your experience ordering custom parts from over seas? If you ever have? Btw Honda owner here as well
cable throttle= no cruise control, for us adv/touring rider we prefer e throttle with cc
Which engine is long lasting yamaha(ray zr 125)Or honda(activa125)
Accually have had all the MTs except the Ive heard about the MT125 actually never had the MT-09 but I do have the Tracer 9GT very close to the MT-09 love tge CPs wife loves her 07 and started on the 03 in my opinion is close to the best if not the best Ist bike Ive always loved YAMAHA since my 1974 DT 125 I bought when I was 15
@CycleCruza why don't you get an H2?
You had an issue with the 600 RR getting to hot.heat from motor while riding. That is an issue
Kawasaki is good with heat management, .. not sure about Yamaha or Honda
Ducati & BMW too are not famous for heat management
For me it is Kawasaki and Indian. I own a Ninja 400 and love it, I want an Indian Scout Bobber.
ZX10R is a beautiful bike
I like that Yamaha better just because Honda tends to hold back on bringing bikes to the USA,like the new 600
i have both
Another hard question, 😂. I prefer Yamaha by just a little bit, but own a Honda. 😂 I would love a Yamaha XSR900, but my reality is a Honda PCX160.
lol You can't go wrong with getting a Honda or Yamaha, both make great bikes but Yamaha has a bit more exciting bikes.
My first bike ever was a yamaha and my second was a honda (dirtbikes) havent had a yamaha or honda street bike yet only Kawasaki and Suzuki
For me it's yamaha, i tried all the Japanese sports bikes and chose the R1 and still ride the R1 today.
YAMAHA the most reliable motorcycles! Still riding my 2000 RoadStar with no end in sight.
If they didn’t make Hondas I’d prolly have a Yamaha…the R1 and mt07 are cool as hell but I’ll stick w my cb1000r
What if I told you...Suzuki was best!
I enjoy all the big 4 Japanese bikes.
You had one chance CycleCruza, I miss you saying CB Ahh 1000 double AHH.
Initial power yamaha
Top end and smoothness HOndaa❤
I like both Yamaha and Honda very good motorcycles. Cheers Cyclecruza yeeeeeeeeee 🤙⚡🥂👍😃
Hi are honda made in japan
Maybe he thought revved to tell go. I think about that with bright flash for example...people taking that as suggestion to go.
Probably but I had the right of way.
Don't forget the MT-125. Can be driven in Switzerland from the age of 16
They don't sell that here in U.S. so I'm not familiar with that bike. All of the MT bike lineup are great from the bottom to the top.
Yamaha has a series of small displacement bikes for Asian markets, similar to KTM duke series.
Cr500 dirt bike
Honda has buttery smooth gearboxes also
That is true, especially their premium bikes built in Japan. Same goes with their cars, the best one are the ones built in Japan.
@CycleCruza I have a 2007 cbr 600 RR. I will never sell it. Fun fact - your old videos inspired me to look at Hondas and ultimately buy it about 7 years ago. Good low/midrange for a 600, decent riding position for a super sport, smooth and fun.
When it comes to Supersports, Japanese bikes lack better resale value and are boring. Italian and German bikes are the best, IMO.
Honda has won more Moto Gp races and sold more motorcycles than anyone!
Kawasaki next
Honda and yamaha are the best
Which is better?
Yamaha or Honda?
Short answer?
Suzuki.
Yamaha
I always loved Yamaha
I bleed Yamaha blue!
Yamaha life
I love Honda in general, but Yamaha is the best.
💯
Yamaha. Why even ask??
Neither I love Suzukis
Suzuki has fallen behind. Their heyday was the mid 2000s.
@@Tartan1206 yeah I love the old ones like the tl1000 and sv1000
@@Tartan1206 there new gsx-8s is a new bike tho, and I think it’s best in class for the price
@@Tartan1206 I also love the fact that Suzuki sells the same bike unchanged year after year, really shows their “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mentality
You can't go wrong with any of the Japanese motorcycles. Suzuki needs to update some of their bikes tho, the DRZ400/SM is a dinosaur now.
1979 xs 650 sounds more like a Harley
But Cruza, you never owned a current R1, so of course you wouldn’t know about em.
Who the fuck wants a bike that sounds like a Harley?
I've always liked the sound of the Harleys, some are way too loud though.
❤
Honda and Suzuki both have boring lineups compared to kawasaki and yamaha
old hondas where very good but i think from 2010 and up honda is not so good and yamaha is a lot better
Yep, I remember when Honda was always winning the shootouts with their supersport and superbikes. Even Honda cruisers from back in the day were epic like the Honda Magna. I bet Mr. Honda is rolling over in his grave seeing how vanilla Honda has become.
As a devoted disciple of our lord and savior Valentino Rossi, I bleed blue!
Yamaha is better.
💯
Yamaha is Toyota so it’s #1 Honda is 2nd
Honda!! All the way!!!
Yamaha #2
Yamaha best
