Yamaha have so many awesome bikes. My two personal favorites are the XVS1100 V-star/Dragstar Custom (not the classic) As it's a really fun and "lightweight" Cruiser that can handle corners. And the other one is the tallboy Tracer 9 GT. As I'm to tall and big for any of the sportbikes or naked bikes I have to go to the sports tourers - And that's where the Tracer 9 shines like a big red diamond in the Motorcycle market.
I remember that my father had an FJR1200 from the early 2000's and coming back from the Valencia GP in 2006 we were passing the guys on their GSXR's, ZXR's, CBR's, R1's and whatnot like if we were changing channels while watching TV. I also remember seeing the faces of those guys looking so tired and their backs hurting while my father and I would be sitting comfortably and barely affected by the wind. I'm also quite sure that as soon as I have the money I will replace my Ninja 400 with an MT07 or MT09 (or maybe the XSR900). Yamaha is also my favorite brand!

One thing to mention is that for some recent mt 07s there is a issue that prevents abs from working as intended which can result in you unwillingly doing a stoppie when having to break super hard

I’d really love to get a first bike but not sure where to turn at this point. I’m a 38 year old 5’11” 240 lb guy who’s never ridden more than an early ‘90s trail bike as a teenager. Do I go with a sport cruiser? Just go all out and go cruiser? (love the idea of a sport bike but am convinced I would look obnoxious and ridiculous on one - too old; too big.) All of the great Hondas are out of production. There were some GREAT bikes but now it’s either an EXPENSIVE highway cruiser (why not just buy a car?) or a Monkey. Great company. I love my Accord but who wants a bike that some bookkeeper might just cancel?
Yammie what do u think about the FZ series. I have a FZ6 and I love it. I’ve road MTs and they just feel like small lunch box of launch. While the FZ feels like tall r6. Thought ?
When you are under 50... and/or want cruise control, a more upright riding position or just don't buy into the neo retro thing of a MT09 trying to look like something from 40 years ago.
Yammie I just viewed several videos that Yamaha is bringing back the RD350 two-stroke motorcycle for 2025 as an LC version with fuel-injection and a host of upgrades. If this is for real, I will burn rubber to my Yamaha dealer to buy one immediately. Research this for us all to follow!
Hmmm? The DTs, TYs, MXs, YZs, SCs, of the 1970s and the greatest bike they ever made - the XS-650. I'm sure they've made good bikes since then but that's where it ends for me.
+1 on Yamaha being The Best right now. Honda seem to be super boring (Rebel) or crazy (CBR R100RR-RRRR etc), Suzuki show promise (GSX8, VStrom 800, GSXS 100GT etc) & Kawasaki have tempting examples like the Ninja 1000SE & Versys 1000 SE LT+. But Yamaha seem to have the right balance &, of course, those great cross plane engines....so good that I bought one!

Just did over 9000 kms in 11 days on a 2003 Roadstar Absolutely no trouble and very comfy. I am 71 yrs old and did 1200 kms (800 miles) the first day. Test drove a big Honda very uncomfortable. Nothing but Yamahas for this old man.
I have a 2022 MT09 and I love it. Such a fun bike, with a bunch of tech. I really enjoy the usable power, and the cp3 sound.

I have a 2006 FZ1 and love it, its like if the fjr, the r1, and the mt09 had a baby. Its a naked touring bike driven by the same motor thats in the r1 just detuned a hair to make more power down low.
Feet are so scrumptious!
Oh baby.
No Warrior or VMax on the list????
MT-01? Where’s the Vtwin/V4 love?
I love YAMAHA products. I'm 54 years old and in 1980 I had the junior high God status of owning a YZ80. I play a Yamaha bass guitar with Alembic pickups and preamp, a Yamaha PB-1 bass preamp through a Crown power amp, and I ride a 2011 Yamaha Star Stryker 1304cc. Is there anything Yamaha can't do well ?
One of my favorite parts in this video about Yamaha's was the advertising for the RockForm phone holder. I did not currently have a motorcycle, I would love to get back and do it again. But if I did, I would get a RockForm phone holder.
My first motorcycle is the fz6. Love it.
I like this breakdown of the whole lineup. Great video idea
I love my 08 FZ1, that sweet early 2000s r1 engine with an upright seating position and awesome looking street fighter, it’s a win win and runs you around $5k
Well I can just agree with your listing by looking in my garage, where a MT09 '17 and a R6 '05 are parking side by side :)
One thing to mention is that for some recent mt 07s there is a issue that prevents abs from working as intended which can result in you unwillingly doing a stoppie when having to break super hard
its true , even my Yamaha scooter which is 7 yr old runs like new and was last under maintenance when it was bought.
New Rider on MT-25. Loving it so far!
Forgot all about the Tracer 7 adventure style bike, that one is a beast as well. lightest in class and as much fun as the MT07
MT09 or R1 for me.... Can't decide.
Kid from the Old Paso commercial: Porque no los dos
The speedy one👹
@@Sea_Stallion smart man
MT-10
@@zBaihu0 i got a bad back these days
Are the Tenere 700 and 900 not available in the states? I hear they are also pretty good!
Could have at least nodded towards the XSR900 in the MT09 family. 🤷♂️
Was hoping he would as I own an xsr900 myself.
XSR900 is superior to the MT09 honestly.
@@larryhouse3776 same thing but I loveeeee the look of the xsr over the MT. You don’t see them as often either.
It really is a nice bike to ride. Too bad it’s so damn ugly.
@@PetjeWinner haha. You either hate em or love them.
Might as well do Suzuki!
Having ridden the FJR1300, I can assure anyone you can literally ride that bike in 10° (F) weather and be comfortable since you literally don’t feel a lick of wind… add in a heated seat and grips with quality gear, you stay warm plenty warm…
You have never done a video mentioning the XJ6. Any reason why?
Okay so which one should I get?
My first bike was an 2006 R6. Second bike was an 2007 R6. I now ride an R3. It is easier on the back.
I could never go from a r6 to a r3. God bless you
Had all kinds of sport liter bikes all my life but in 2017 i got a budget bike the fz07 and can vouch that besides the crappy suspension the bike was a ton of fun and so light felt like a bicycle ride! Then i was in between the mt09 or the gsxs 1000 a year ago and got the suzuki with 0 regrets! The best bike for the $ out there and a ton of fun!
A month ago, I switched from 2023 MT-07 to 2023 MT-09SP.
Fck MT-07, go for MT-09 with the Dominator HP3 exhaust. 👌🏻
Its the Tracer 9 gt 2022 for me
Have you looked at the tracer 9+
Its insane how much tech they put on a sport tourer
are you gonna make videos for the other three big bois?
The fz6 should be on their
Get a list from every manufacturer!!! Suzuki, Ducati, BMW, Moto Guzzi, Harley Parkinson, etc...
Currently riding through the Swiss Alps on my 21 Mt09 Sp ! Absolutely mint
Tenere 700 World Raid totaly worth it !
The MT09 looks fuller, I like it a lot.
81 850 Special. Outdated but still fun.
you forgot about the yzf600r thundercat such a classic and the only confortable all rounder sport touring f bike
Yammieeeeeeee!!!!
Yes you still are my Favorite Funny Guy 😂😂😂😂😂
I love Yamaha. 1st one I had xt250 1980
Yammie Yamaha Revs Your Heart and Soul 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤘🏼🤙🏼
all of them
Yamie you forgot the Yamaha tdm with out it today the sport touring motorcycles that so much I love wouldn’t be a thing. Best seller in Europe for years 🎉
I don’t like the sound of the R1. It sounds like a Ninja 650 to me.
CFMOTO 450SS vs NINJA 400 as a beginner bike?
Love my WR, really want a cross plane now tho… thinking the XSR
Should I upgrade from my 2011 FZ6 (not the FZ6R or XJ6, the proper one) to an MT07/09 or R6/7?
Where is the T7? It's supposedly already sold before it rolls off the production line.
New Yammie lore 0:54
Yes you need to make one for Suzuki and possibly the nakeds versus nakeds which one is better at handling and power and all that kind of stuff
I wish for WR300R - that would be bestseller.
I just bought a brand new r3 and the cylinders lost compression at 109 miles. Now they are trying to charge me when it should be under warrenty, and i havnt been able to ride all summer.
I went from grom to R6 genuinely one of my best decisions I’ve ever made
Sad the Mt-10 did not get mentioned.
That rock form mount better be the last mount I ever buy for that price
Eddit I'm pretty sure it will be when I do finally get one
7:15, thats a MT-09
That 07 mt09 have 1 long seat
Especially for sport touring you forgot the Niken. Yes, it looks different, but I'm not accept any hate comments from people that never have driven one.
I’d really love to get a first bike but not sure where to turn at this point. I’m a 38 year old 5’11” 240 lb guy who’s never ridden more than an early ‘90s trail bike as a teenager. Do I go with a sport cruiser? Just go all out and go cruiser? (love the idea of a sport bike but am convinced I would look obnoxious and ridiculous on one - too old; too big.) Live in a rural subdivision outside San Antonio, TX, if it matters.
Tracer 9gt+ is a great bike!
All of the great Hondas are out of production.
Thought ?
Why would you buy an MT09-SP when the XSR900 exists?
When you are under 50... and/or want cruise control, a more upright riding position or just don't buy into the neo retro thing of a MT09 trying to look like something from 40 years ago.
@@paulhope3401 the xsr has Cruise control ;)
@@xMav44 Ah cool... Nice one.
Yamaha fz1 fazer 1000 is the best!!
Jep, i got fz1n best bike ever.
PREACH
Listen, Yamaha should make a "Rebel" line with the Bolt series using the R3, R7, R9, and R1 motors.
But Yamaha seem to have the right balance &, of course, those great cross plane engines....so good that I bought one!
lol yamaha isn't the best kawi is, for the japs at least
Fazer S2, really nice bike.

Surprised he didn’t even mention the T7 or the YZ450
