this was awesome even for intermediate and above .. lot of good tips classic tips here..I just made good adjustments for my flatpicking ..this lesson is a great warm up drill too ty Steve
Awesome playing Steve ! ! Truly one of the few greats that have exemplified the true art of fine picking. Sure, there've been others, but most of them historically hid from the public and could only be seen in festivals either in Smokey mountain, Appalachia or Nashville circuits. Never anywhere east of the Mississippi river region. Thank you Steve. How can I contact you for lessons ? ? Rob.
I appreciate you brother! We all need this. Ive pastored for many years and many people miss the point that we are here to win everyone. Paul did it, Peter did it. I have been able to win many from all kinds of religious backgrounds. Thank God for Jesus!
Do you always use a down pickstroke on the beat (as in your triplet example were you used beat 1 down-up-down beat 2 down-up-down)? this places two downsrokes in a row?
I like to alternate Dn Up Dn, UP Dn UP But I often do the double down when I play irish because it helps me get the heavy down pick on the beat. I use the alternating "fluid version" for fast lines of triplets in gypsy jazz or bluegrass solos.
Amazing. RIP Happy Traum
