My car is leaking coolant a lot right under the resevrore overflow tank. What could it be? The leak is totally green coolant. My heat gauge has gone up a bit also
God, I wish I knew what’s going on with my girlfriend‘s car. Randomly today she just started pouring out coolant. No signs of any issue. No white smoke just started pouring out when you refill the reservoir you look under the car you see it coming right out😭

I loved all of 1A How-to videos. I detected a coolant leak from my Nissan 2001 xtera SUV. I saw a lot of steam smoke ( vapor) came out of the back engine around the oil filter and back if top engine block. I was unable to pin point exactly where the leak actually came from since I do not know the coolant system component arrangement on my Nissan. Think you can help sharing some video tips ? Appreciate a lot.

an expansion plug or "freeze plug" . its a potiental place to check for a leak. this "A-1" mechanic must not be familiar with engines, but he seems to do well with the camera..

thank youfor the video. i have a leak on my 02 grand prix 3100 se and i replaced my radiator last summer i paid $62 for it on amazon it is leaking around the hose and getting on the belt causing it to slip. and my engine was running hotter and power steering gets hard soetimes and my battery light cycles on and off.
My car is at the mechanics right now. Before it was dropped off I got under the car and recorded with my phone the leak, coolent is dripping about every 2 second to 5 second onto the ground. It first drops down ftom the water pump area and then onto a hose close to the front of the vehicle then drops to the ground. I have to fill the reservoir up to the line every day about a cup. On my phone when I press record to record the video my flashlight comes on really bright so I can really get a good look under the car to see where the drip was coming from. I followed it up to the water pump. The mechanic is saying its the radiator? So, how can it be the radiator leaking when on my video I can clearly see it dripping from the water pump area. The radiator look dry. Any thoughs? Car is at the mechanics now.

I have a 2006 Saab 97X 4.2 a.k.a. Chevy trailblazer and there’s coolant leaking from behind the power steering pump near the engine. When I say behind, I mean, if you’re looking at the power steering pump from the passenger side tire. The water pump was done recently and VIP auto said that it wasn’t the water pump. They claimed that it was the transmission cooler lines but these all seem fine.

My 2010 FX35 Reservoir goes over the Max line, i replaced the thermostat with an new OEM and a OEM Radiator cap. I don't see any spills, or smells or smoke. I have to siphone it from the reservoir and put it back into the radiator. The car does not overheat or has never overheated.... i'm at a loss right now.
I'm at wit's end here. 2011 Cadillac SRX 3.0 was throwing P0430 & P0420 codes and started running hot, so had the 2 cats replaced. On the way home from the muffler shop, it started overheating and broke down. Towed home. Filled reservoir 1/2 way with coolant and immediately coolant was all over the driveway and 10 minutes later the reservoir was empty. While this was happening, the combustion leak test was performed and the blue liquid did not change colors. Now, the vehicle is not running hot, not throwing any codes, and the reservoir is empty. I'm afraid to drive it. How do I get the gremlins out of the coolant system?

Recently changed coolant in camaro 2014 RS to dexcool acdelco . However everyday when I open the radiator cap I see coolant gone low in cold start . so I top up with coolant (may be 100ml add). Don't know where the coolant is going , no leaks on bottom area. Is there only 1 pump in coolant movement or any other ?. No leaks so far on pipes or on the hoses. Hi there 1A Auto, I was wondering if you have time maybe to help with an issue I am having. I am running in to an issue with a 2005 Toyota Camry V8 check engine light (only 52,000 miles on my dashboard so the car is not driven a bunch over the years). The last 2 years like clockwork a year apart i get the check engine. The first time I brought it to a show I was told to go to. They said after checking with their computer I have a faulty knock sensor. So I said okay lets do what needs to be done. They charged me $700 at the time in 2020. They said when taking apart the parts they found coolant in different parts of the engine bay (i do not know car stuff I am pretty sure that is what he said). This part of the problem is how I found your video here. I am wondering too what could cause the coolant leak. They replace the sensor and a few days later the check engine light returns. Same codes on their test so they replace the sensors again (for free). A year goes by and then just before inspection time Check engine again. Go to the shop... same code. Now they do the replacement again and charge me $300 just for parts they say (do not know if that is a reasonable price). It is now a year since then and once again I have a check engine light. Also I should say my coolant is about an inch lower than it was a year ago. Just trying to ask anyone and everyone for information. It is such a hard thing to find a mechanic in NY and since I am not knowledgeable (but trying to learn) it makes this soo much harder... especially in NY.
My Chevy Colorado started to leak coolant yesterday so I went to check it out I noticed the leak was running down from the engine not any hoses or clamps. it might be a cold leak so it doesn't leak when its been running
could be they are hoping you have an overheating breakdown & it causes extensive damage, that way they can make more money.

If you have an undercover just remove it and see what it is guys… just pray it’s not your radiator

Found my came from freezer plug behind 98 Chevy motor above starter. 🤬

Don't know where the coolant is going , no leaks on bottom area.
Is there only 1 pump in coolant movement or any other ?. No leaks so far on pipes or on the hoses. Seriously it's getting my mind worse as I cannot find the reason for low coolant. Any help will be appreciated

What if you can see coolant on top of coolant tank?
check your radiator cap..make sure seal isn't broken

You failed to mention the possibility of the water pump leaking because it needs replacement

Hi there 1A Auto, I was wondering if you have time maybe to help with an issue I am having. I am running in to an issue with a 2005 Toyota Camry V8 check engine light (only 52,000 miles on my dashboard so the car is not driven a bunch over the years). The last 2 years like clockwork a year apart i get the check engine. The first time I brought it to a show I was told to go to. They said after checking with their computer I have a faulty knock sensor. So I said okay lets do what needs to be done. They charged me $700 at the time in 2020. They said when taking apart the parts they found coolant in different parts of the engine bay (i do not know car stuff I am pretty sure that is what he said). This part of the problem is how I found your video here. I am wondering too what could cause the coolant leak. They replace the sensor and a few days later the check engine light returns. Same codes on their test so they replace the sensors again (for free). A year goes by and then just before inspection time Check engine again. Go to the shop... same code. Now they do the replacement again and charge me $300 just for parts they say (do not know if that is a reasonable price). It is now a year since then and once again I have a check engine light. Also I should say my coolant is about an inch lower than it was a year ago. Just trying to ask anyone and everyone for information. It is such a hard thing to find a mechanic in NY and since I am not knowledgeable (but trying to learn) it makes this soo much harder... especially in NY.

My Chevy Colorado started to leak coolant yesterday so I went to check it out I noticed the leak was running down from the engine not any hoses or clamps.
