EMILY!! I know you probably won't answer but I need advise. I recently got a baby milksnake. He's about a foot long. The problem I have is this: me and my grandpa don't agree on how much to feed him. Anyway, my grandpa thinks that I should start feeding him two pinkies a week, and I don't think he needs that much. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!! Also, I can't convince him that I need a thermostat (I do have a thermometer/humidity thingy tho) and I don't know what humidity to keep him at. I think he likes it at about 50% or a little higher but idk what it should be People at the pet stores haven't been any help at all, and you're one of the only people whose opinion I would trust fully. I understand if you don't answer, but I really need help on this
@@_veronica_r Honestly look up these things on other sources. Find multiple breeders and discover what they recommend. I fed my young snakes about every 4-5 days because they're growing and need more energy to do that. My mid size snakes eat about once a week. My big snakes are about once every other week because they eat bigger meals. Milk snakes are pretty hardy so the humidity is probably not something you should need to stress about as long as you aren't keeping them in wet substrate or are treating it like a tropical species. You need a thermostat for undertank heating mats. They're cheap on Amazon. Otherwise the mat can potentially burn your snakes belly or the mat will not get hot enough and you'll never know (I had this happen personally--the heat mat never got warmer than 80° and we didn't notice until we hooked the thermostat up to it and it never got warm). The other day a month old puff adder found it's way into my yard, luckily the dogs didnt get to the poor baby, was sooo smaalll! Most people in sa would kill snakes like these unfortunately, but luckily for me and this widdle baby, we have a snake lover expert/catcher who rescues and relocates them. He had a pet black mamba that was free roamed in his house!! She unfortunately passed a few years back due to age (he raised her from an egg). He has a new boy now he is raising but of course doesn't have her docile( for a dangerous snake) nature so it's a struggle. You can of course search him up tho! His name is Neels Botha I believe, quite famous here in sa.
You appear to have taken a picture with my best friends doppelganger... it's mildly creepy to see what appears to be a picture of her and know that she has never once in her life been to Texas (and she is absolutely terrified of snakes making this even funnier).
I'm happy for you two that you were able to go to the Reptile Show. The vipers from Fascination were gorgeous! I love the wonders of creation. (I did wish there had been a shot that showed the vipers in a way that illustrated scale/relative size. I guess there was kind of one at 0:55 and I know that Eric stated the average max length as < 24 inches.) Cataleah is a great name. Your mention of "Buck-ees" sent me on a Google search, and it was an interesting non-reptile related piece of info. That is a huge convenience store/gas station/travel stop. As usual, thanks for sharing! #TakeCareBeWellDoGood.
I got so excited when you talked about Buckee's! My boyfriend is originally from Texas, and he absolutely loves it. I've never been to Texas, and I've hardly left Missouri, so I had to send him a message that you talked about it!

That music insert of “wiggle, wiggle, wiggle” literally had me cracking up, I was silently laughing my head off and almost choked because it was so unexpected but so well placed! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
You guys go to these shows all the time and you are so excited each one, thank you for keeping it exciting for us!😊
can you imagine being that fan out for a nice day of herping in texas when suddenly you just find emily out in the woods
A wild EMILY appeared!
If I ever visit the states, I am going to a reptile expo.
'local species'
Me *Looks at a Mulga*
I'm good, a death adder though 🤔
Pickle Rick at 10:08, he’s over Emily.
So I'm not the only one who saw that lol.
@@savagefurry there's a pickle Rick in all of her videos
I'm pickle riiick
@@rockercaterrorencountered4924 why though? Is there a background story?
@@_mortiam They love Rick and Morty and its become a meme in their channel.
I love the little phrases y’all but on the end screens because yes, I do have time for one more... the end screens always make me so happy for some reason
So cute to see Emily super excited about the show. It's always interesting to see what has her pumped- like finding a steamroller. Or a herp show

Me: Hello fellow nerds!

I'm dead you guys. Help.
Question of the day: did you buy anything . . .
not sure if they have a venomous permit or not but i wonder if they plan on ever getting venomous reptiles.
Justin Jensen at the end of the vid they show a new milk snake they got
Mya Thorderson yes, but is it their purchase or does it belong to the gentleman in the background?
@@mediumdipper6 i thought that snake belonged to the dude holding the bag
forthelolz2356 oh ha that makes sense 😅
It was great seeing you there, wish we would have gotten a picture. I love HERPS Conroe and I go every time they have a show (3 times a year) I’ve bought all but one of my reptiles there and highly recommend them..
"Boop Noodle" - "Danger Noodle"
"Pretend Cober" - "Actual Cober"
I love it XD
I'm only 32 seconds into the video and I'm over here like "Y'all made it from Dallas to Conroe in only 3 hours?" LOL
karimonster Yeah....I think they missed an hour or two somewhere in there 🤣
Well Dallas is 4 hrs from Houston and Conroe is 1hour out of Houston on the way to Dallas. So that math checks out. As long as there wasn’t any traffic jams/construction/accidents.
The gentleman you spoke to about the ‘hot’ snakes was very good in his delivery. He’s well aware of the dangers, yet knows people are wanting these snakes. Personally, I don’t understand why. Owning something that could potentially kill you isn’t my idea of cool; no matter how pretty they are!
Sorry we missed y'all. Hope you enjoyed Texas.
You can tell you are an educator. You ask great questions.
I just discovered your channel 2 days ago and now my husband, 2 kiddos, and I have been binge watching you! Such wonderful content, so fascinating, and educational for the rest of us! Many blessings from Surf City USA!
I just love the way shes so happy. Thats so cute im always happy seeing her like that.
I love that y'all mentioned Buccee's it is a Texas favorite.
Im a simple Man I see snake discovery I click
Buc-ee’s, Buc-ee’s, Buc-ee’s!!! I love that place.
I don’t know how I feel about that last bit, Whataburger will always reign supreme to In-N-Out
Emily you get so excited and I love it its so wholesome
It's so nice to see people so excited to talk about reptiles, and with such knowledge about them to boot!
I was there that weekend and I’m so bummed i didn’t see you! Got a great supply haul though! New plants, isopods, and gecko food.
4:51 me if I ever see you guys at a convention lmao😂😂😂
Emily at a reptile show is like a little kid at Disney World! She always looks like she’s having so much fun!
I love her enthusiasm, it’s so refreshing because it’s real and not just an act
Hey one of those photos is me! We are so glad to have met you! Also we still love you Ed lol even if you don't always enjoy the otherside of the camera.
Emily that is so me when your like, “run gotta get in!”
I have a baby leopard gecko in replacement of a snake my parents won’t let me get.
(Love you guys)
XxWolf StudiosxX what’s your leopard geckos name?
You shouldn’t get animals as compromises
Awww cute! Leopard geckos are super fun. I’ve had my gecko for about 6 years, and I love him to pieces
I still think it is crazy how parents wont get snakes for their kids. Only because when I wanted a dog at 15, my mom got me a snake instead. And she is not even into reptiles, or animals really.

Ah I see, you're a man of culture as well
(to the girl in the BNHA suit)
But nice video! I really enjoy these expo-videos
It is always so nice to hear your enthusiasm when you do your videos, and you are such a lovely young lady too. Keep up these great videos.
The pure enthusiasm is contagious and adorable I love this channel
"Gotta run gotta run" ily Emily
Danger noodles with stingy mouth needles
Emily: There was this one gas station...
Me: Aw snap, they found Buc-ee's.
I'm so glad y'all got to go and made a video of it. We love HERPS!!
- Ani & Ed
The colors on those snakes were incredible!!!!!👌🏽👍🏽
i love the first fan’s reaction lol
OMG THEYRE SO CUTE!!!!!!!
“Start local”
Me in the uk: uhhh we only have the adder and all he does is make you a little ouchy.
In my boyfriends native Croatia they have 3 of them and only 1 (horned viper) you’d need to call 211 for
I live in Florida so I have like 5 snakes to choose from
Rattlers
Pygmy rattlers
Copperheads
Cottonmouths
Corals
Variable Bush Vipers are so cool in so many ways, color! Scalation! Head shape! Size! They are just so AWESOME to look at!!!
I like the pink Gaboon vipers. Four minutes in and already hoping someone in the show has a pink one.
Bush vipers are so beautiful. Definitely a species i want to keep in the future when i feel comfortable enough and have enough experience.
“In-N-Out is better” had me laughing so hard 😂🤣
Sadly there are no snake 🐍 shows in my country I live in Scotland 🏴
Really?
quick google says there's a few in britain and germany(not too long of a trip at least)
I mean depends where in Scotland you are but theres one every year in south Yorkshire and it doesn't take that long to get there from the more southern towns. For reference It takes us just over 3 hours to get from pontefract to Edinburgh and the expo is in Doncaster (about 20 mins further away) so really not too bad at all
i’m scottish too, and yeah there aren’t any at all which is a shame. there are some in england though, the only reason i haven’t been to any of them yet is that i can’t drive lol
That 'wiggle wiggle' clip LMAOOO
You look so happy. You need to record going to more of these!!! Love seeing you this happy!
Shows like this are great because they also educate people about venomous snakes and you really gotta know what you’re doing to own one
Hey Emily and Ed, you guys are so amazing! Snakes/ other reptiles are such cool and pretty and cute animals. A hognose is my favorite snake, and my favorite turtle is the Wood turtle, such cool creatures reptiles. 🐍🦎🐢🐊 My favorite from the channel is probably Bacon. ( Sorry Rex!) Thanks Emily and Ed for being so cool!
4:29 D A N G E R N O O D L E
omg that's so cool.i have a question. are you considering having hot snakes cause if yeah you need to make a video you know it😂
WOW NICE 🦎🦎🦎
I literally ADORE those two!!!
HELLO Everyone hope you have a wonderful day!
I guess there was kind of one at 0:55 and I know that Eric stated the average max length as < 24 inches.)
Cataleah is a great name.
Your mention of "Buck-ees" sent me on a Google search, and it was an interesting non-reptile related piece of info. That is a huge convenience store/gas station/travel stop.
As usual, thanks for sharing!
#TakeCareBeWellDoGood.
i used to only wanna watch you guys because you were educational but now i just really enjoy you're content ^^
I can just picture going to one of these and hearing in the background, "It got out!"
Are you going to have a venomous species at the zoo your making
"There's a reptile show, there's no time to explain! Come on!" LOL
Hello, my son Silas loves your show and also love reptiles. Thank you so much for the content and congrats on the new store!
I got so excited when you talked about Buckee's! My boyfriend is originally from Texas, and he absolutely loves it. I've never been to Texas, and I've hardly left Missouri, so I had to send him a message that you talked about it!
