The artist of the blue snake must be THRILLED for how much it sold for! It was a beautiful piece of art, and even more impressive that it was painted during the conference!
I actually have 4 pieces of hers! She is incredible and so so talented. She deserves all of the credit and praise for her work😁

It is very beautiful an so much talent, I'm pretty sure she often paints right at some of the events but either way she makes amazing art
@@YarnBird13 actually easier than you might think. Just put on some earbuds or headphones and art. I used to paint at the bus stop waiting to go to my art classes one just learns how to do.

@@phylliswells289 Probably not, it was likely just a joke and he probably gave back the puppy afterward. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I assume Ed and Emily are currently fairly busy people and don’t have the time to care for a puppy. It would be like having a 2nd Cheyenne.
@@phylliswells289 i think it was mentioned in an old video that emily as allergic to dogs unfortunately, despite how much ed wants one!
I think Ed's adorable personality really showed during that interaction, it warmed my heart. "He didn't need two, so I just took this one." lmbo Ed and Emily work so much, and such LONG hours that often when Ed is on camera his energy is low. That's my favorite thing about some shows, it's like they are both reinvigorated with childlike enthusiasm (the best kind of enthusiasm if you ask me), about their lives passion.
I do have one gripe though: It was dress like Ed OR Emily, and while I'm sure many dressed like Ed, none were featured...? I would have rocked a Pokemon shirt, jeans and a zip up hoodie half zipped, probably would have carried a camera and car keys since Ed is always the driver and more often than not, the videographer. It could have helped to have a lanyard with a pass of some kind around my neck (or I could have used it to hold a beloved Pokemon card 🤷), but I think no matter what way you slice it, it would ha e said ED. I'd just have to keep a fun loving smile on my face, tease my partner while looking at them and supporting them lovingly, and it would have been obvious.

Emily walking through the building with kids jumping and squeaking in excitement warmed my cold, dead heart. What a great couple of role models to have kids geek out about.
Emily is a great role model for us adults too!
Her outgoing and kind personality has genuinely helped me become a nicer person, and better at my job in customer services!
Ed and Emily could have a channel about watching paint dry and I’d still tune in ☺️❤️
Seriously! If I had someone like her and'or Ed when I was a kid, I would have never been afraid of snakes to start with! Though im grateful they got rid of my fear :D Now I think snakes are adorable and love reptiles overall!

I first watched snake discovery in the 2nd or 1st year that they has started! I watched one of their oldest bullsnake hatching video, and then, a year ago, I stumbled upon them again, and now I have a crested gecko!

@@LunatheMoonDragon because it's lovely seeing a comfortable, confident Ed. People relate to his discomfort and people genuine just like him as an individual and what he brings to the videos/channel. It's okay for people to show others some love. I also enjoy seeing Ed happy 🤷🏻♀️

I gotta say that first girl in the meet and greet was absolutely adorable, your fans love you but I love how wholesome our community is. Hopefully one day I can fly across the pond, I'd love to attend these big shows they don't seem to have any in England

Really glad to see you guys got another sable, I was sad after Sabelle passed away, especially since it seemed like she was Ed’s favorite and you guys were really looking forward to some sable babies. That fan is so sweet to buy one for you guys, Rosie’s gonna be a great addition.
That snake painting was BEAUTIFUL! That is extreme talent, (and in my opinion,) it totally should’ve gone for more! And the fact that they not only painted it during the expo, but also didn’t even get any of the money! That is amazingly kind-hearted to donate more than 4,000 dollar-worth painting!
It made me really happy to hear the price started at $100 and got up to $4,400 and the baby rack started at $1,000 and went for $4,600. It showed how much people really appreciated her artwork to get it to such a high price, especially in comparison to a first of its kind rack.
I think she's done a piece like this before iirc. Smthn about the artist holding her own painting seems familiar. *She is I believe the artist in the vid where she got married at a show as well.
Emily: I want some snakes for retail.
Ed: Okay!
Emily: Stuff like Corn snakes, King snakes, Milk snakes and a female Mossy leaf-tailed gecko for the zoo.
Ed: Sure!
Emily: OH! And Hognoses! I want MORE.
Ed: Oh… okay…
She said “all the hognoses” lol. Poor Ed 😂
That is the voice of a man mentally calculating how many more baby racks he’s gonna have to buy and fit in to the reptile room 😂

Ironically, the first puppy my husband and I adopted together came from a reptile show in Kansas City. A snake breeder’s dog had puppies and he brought them to the show in a storage tote. 😂 13 years later, we still have him.
You can tell Emily works with kids often, that first little girl coming up dressed as me would have had me sobbing, so cute omg

I have to say I love the fact that Ed and Emily are willing to and get to interview all of these different breeders and sellers. It’s definitely one of my favorite parts when watching these kinds of videos.

Donation towards Brian at the auction. It's not on there video. I saw it on someone else's. I wish they would mention it show public support to Brian and his journey. Have there fans send some positive vibes his way. But probably won't happen unfortunately. I hope they prove me wrong.

If anybody told me 5 years ago that I would watch reptile videos and "Aww cute," seeing a couple of hognose snakes, I would have told them they are nuts. But that is what I did when you showed the hognoses.
Also the blue monitor is beautiful. How about Azure as a name for her or Bluey (then Ed can pretend that she is a dog)😜💕🐾

That was an amazing auction night. Such a roller coaster of emotions. Between Potter's mom, the Barczyk donations, and the fight for all the big guys to one-up each other with bids, it was a great show. I was even lucky enough to be able to get a really awesome BP from JD Constriction for a great deal.
There were also so many amazing reptiles & amphibians. I jumped on a pair of Meeker Sanoran Gophers of really cool morphs that I'd seen last October at Tinley. Couldn't pass em up.
AWWWWW! Look at how Ed looked at that puppy, I mean, surely that’s enough to convince you! New addition to the snake discovery family? I think yes!
Emily is allergic, but seems open to the idea, as her allergies got better when she stayed with Ed's family and 2 English Setters!!
I could definitely see them adopting a dog!!! I know Ed wants an Australian Shepherd, but that Frenchie, super cute, and he seemed in love!!

Yay! A new sable. They are my second favorite after the lavenders, was bummed when Sabelle passed and we wouldn’t get to see babies but now we have a new girl!! She’s a sassy one too, that loves to eat it looks like. Will fit right in with the other girls like busty Rhonda and omnomlette lol

Omg those boas at the beginning were hilarious. All hissing! My boas never really hiss except one baby Sonoran female, and only in her cage. Poor boas, hope they calmed down! Tho I know they also can be hissy even when not actually scared and just talkative lol

Hey Ed & Em! If you do want to go to New York, on May 7th is the Capital District Reptile Expo, in Albany, NY. It's a smaller local show, but I've always found fantastic animals there, with some real quality put into them. And I suggest naming the blue tree monitor Cricket, though I wonder if you'll still get that reference 😅
I was the one who bribed them with NY gifts!! I hyped up the white plains expo since it's larger but as an Albany local I'd be THRILLED if they came to my hometown. Also don't tell me you are also a Cricket Blue fan OwO

The NY Metro Reptile Expo is April 23rd and the Albany NY expo is May 7th ;) and I did promise cider donuts and fresh NY bagels ;;;;;) (but seriously it was so awesome to meet you and I'm totally gonna come to the facility one day with more NY swag for ya)

I got my first hognose from JMG on day two in Tinley! She’s absolutely thriving, and I will definitely be returning to their booth in the future 😍

Not sure if you'll see this as you have a huge amount of followers, but here goes. I'm really scared of snakes, I live in Sweden so I don't risk getting bit by any that are more venomous than regular wasps, plus we only have three species here. But still I'm super scared whenever I see one and I'm always hyperaware of their potential existence around me summertime. I don't think the fear is healthy nor justified. So I thought I'd try and treat the fear by looking more on snakes in a safe environment. Videos on UA-cam is as safe as it gets! Your videos where among the first I checked out. And who knew! A couple of months later, I have all kinds of knowledge of different snake species and breeding programs, find several adorable and OF COURSE check out all your videos the minute I see you've posted something new. I even think I could hold a snake now. So thank you so megamassivemuch for your educating videos and down to earth approach!!!
If it makes you feel better, in general fears have 2 reasons behind their existence which is bad experiences or lack of knowledge
