people keep praising Cod4 and MW2 to high heaven but this game really pushed the old engine to its limits. The level design is better than in the previous two games, you get more verticality and the simulation of destruction like in the battlefield games of the time, albeit scripted here. And it was finally a game not about some spec ops goose chase plot somewhere in eurasian remoteistan, but of a world war across major cities. Loved this game to bits.

nah bro , nothing improved, it still has the same quality as MW2 which is ok since MW2 quality is good anyways but imrpovement is missing considering that this is a sequel and not an expansion
if you try digging into the animated destruction by opening the game files, you will realize that it took a LOT of work to do all of that (that's why you don't see it nearly as much in the later titles)
My wet dream way back when: we could’ve got one more game after MW3 that explored WW3/the events of the trilogy from other perspectives. You could’ve played as a surviving GIGN guy, lurking in the catacombs, trying to help civilians escape the city. Or as a random Joe Schmo US Army private with an old beat up M16, that’s guarding a radar site in the German countryside somewhere when the Russians roll in, and you have to go hide in the Black Forest before linking up with some Bundeswehr troops. Hell, even playing as Ozone or Scarecrow at the end of “loose ends”, and you have to sneak past Shadow Company and the remaining Russians and escape to go inform command that General Shepherd was a traitor. There were still so many good stories that could’ve been told.
But didn’t ozone and scarecrow die either way before shepherds betrayal? But in one of the spec ops missions you play as scarecrow and ozone but they’re delta
when the building drops on ya, and you going through you can can hear the german tankers calling for help, damn that gives me chills, imagine being trapped in tank under the building without chance of being saved
Where and when can you hear that? I played the game countless times, never heard that, and never found any video of the mission where you can hear the tankers calling for help.

If the Russians truly wanted to take over Ukraine they would have it within 1 week. They just didn’t want to send in their main troops and supplies that’s why they used militias and lesser trained people.
A shame that you dont actually see german soldiers or remnants of them at least. It would have been such a good detail. Even work together with german special forces just like in the mission in paris where you work with the GIGN.
Realisticly there's not enough of them as there is military constraints on Germany ever since the end of WW2 to this current day, there's only about 400 GSG9 in operation and around 1000 KSK, along with the fact they are under scrutiny and have had a majority section dissolved/closed due to far right links, and from the looks of it in MW3 majority of them would be KIA or Injured by this point in the war having to deal with the overwhelming force having so little troops to defend against russia's numbers. Might be first time in cods history they get something right thematically when compared to real world events. 😅

The US also tends not to leave it's dead or wounded behind, unlike the Russians who seem to leave their brothers to rot away on the battlefield.
They have about 6,000 nuclear war heads . They are the only nuclear power that has hypersonic technology with their missles . I’d say if they really wanted to . They could definitely threaten all of Europe .

Same here, while I do like TF141... I kinda hate it at the same time. They just felt so unrealistic and action movie-ish, I much prefer to play as actual military units. This is why COD4 had the best campaign IMO.

His aim and movement are so bad, that it hurts my eyes every single moment. He literally spent near 700-800 rounds and even had to swap ACR, while he could shoot better.

They should REMAKE this trilogy but with China as the antagonist instead of Russia. Cause knowing that actually inferiority of the Russian Military, and how China has recently become North Korea 2.0 it’s makes more sense for China to become a more ‘REALISTIC’ Ultranationalists than Russia.

With Microsoft's acquisition i hope they remaster the campaigns of older titles up to Ghosts. Seeing these campaigns in better graphics is a dream only one can imagine to have. Especially MW3, this campaign was just chef's kiss to the original trilogy.
Kinda funny seeing the inside of the building that was dropped on the tank column. Some sections are just rubble, others are still perfectly normal with TVs still on the walls and whatnot.

GLONASS, reequipment, supplies, and more exotic technologies such as stealth-that's few things still stays as an unfinished homework. The primary issue is basically a geopolitic chessplay. Russian has caught in the bad side of US Democrat since Bosnia-even though they didnt started it or have any active role. Something I’ve noticed: 0:42 the reload in this game is weird, you don’t see a mag drop or a bolt release hit (not sure if the SCAR has it but the M4A1/M16 does). Just something I noticed Edit: I know, I know, if there’s a mag with rounds that’s dropped there’s a chambered round already, I know that, but I never see a mag being dropped. Also, there does come a point later where he does rack the slide of the SCAR when relowding
Is that A-10 using its fuckin’ GAU-8 on T-90s?! The gun’s useless on the older T-72, so it’d make more sense to use AGMs. Also, later on, I’m pretty sure the Leopard 2A4/5/6 can take out a T-90 at combat ranges. Finally, I’m pretty sure the number of T-90s depicted far exceeds Russia’s military budget, when accounting for graft and corruption along the supply chains.
This Mission will always be the most ridiculous of the mw series to me. Berlin is under heavy attack and all we see are 3 leopard 2 tanks who arent able to defeat a Single t 90 on their own so the american hero has to come along and blow it up with an rpg. No thanks. As much as i liked this game, this one part where we germans had the chance taken from us to be shown on the good side will always be a Thorn in my side.
That, and every other country in the game had its Special Forces featured (British SAS, French GIGN, Delta Force, Spetsnaz) but not the Germans.. 3 fucking tanks for the Germans and no more. No KSK, no GSG 9, hell even a German aircraft or two would've been nice to see.

i honestly think it is much easier to defend your own home soil than it is to go onto someone else's turf, cuz that ONE guy who has been in charge of your country for 23 years wants you to, and with the goal of taking over literally everything and making everyone accept your authority, without trillions of dollars to spend and while being sanctioned by half the world and seen as the bad guys by everyone and not even being part of a large coalition of countries for moral support like america had when they went into iraq. in other words: it is pure insanity.
Germany is not one of them. I think only Poland, UK, France and Italy could win. Tthe other are just to small and with very low numbers. Even if Russian forces has shown to be very incompetent at operational and strategic level, they still has the raw brute force of the big numbers. Something that quality cannot surpass by its own.

the old engine is great. ive been playing it on my laptop and recording 4k for my youtube quite well. and when i switch and play on my zotac 3090 its even better! i dont think this game needs a remaster at all. leave it as is

The biggest thing that they got wrong in this game is that they show the Ruzzian army as being competent, well equipped, and a formidable fighting force. Just from the Ruzzian Invasion of Ukraine alone, Ruzzia has shown the world that they are none of those things. I hope they portray the Ruzzians as they actually are in the new Modern Warfare game. Ruzzia is a 3rd world country with nukes.
Of course, it is a pity that Russia does not hit civilians and infrastructure in order to drive the enemy into the Stone Age, as the United States did in Libya, Iraq and Yugoslavia
Fall of Berlin? As far as I'm concerned, German weapons are wreaking havoc on Russian troops. I am not sure whether Russia would even be able to conquer Poland, leave alone Western Europe.
I'm just a bit disappointed that this mission was the average CoD W+LM2 American mission but elsewhere. MW3 made the player play the Americans in the US (and all over the world), the French in France, the British in Britain. But the Americans in Germany again. It's quite a shame that, apart from the Leopard 2s (that don't do jackshit) the German military seems to be non-existent in this game. Would've been nice to play as the Bundeswehr here.

With Microsoft's acquisition i hope they remaster the campaigns of older titles up to Ghosts. Seeing these campaigns in better graphics is a dream only one can imagine to have. Especially MW3, this campaign was just chef's kiss to the original trilogy.
Kinda funny seeing the inside of the building that was dropped on the tank column. Some sections are just rubble, others are still perfectly normal with TVs still on the walls and whatnot.

@Nikolay Morgan The problem is a stable economy doesnt directly translated as a stronger armed forces. Russian still need a lot of homework before their armed forces is up to go. GLONASS, reequipment, supplies, and more exotic technologies such as stealth-that's few things still stays as an unfinished homework.
The primary issue is basically a geopolitic chessplay. Russian has caught in the bad side of US Democrat since Bosnia-even though they didnt started it or have any active role. They got in the Republican's eye since that missile jamming case in Iraq invasion even thougt they cooperate in Afghanistan. After that its a pretty long fall.
Putin need to recreate his moves in Chechnya on Ukraine. Unfortunately it has since become a very expensive effort-if not miracously-to do since the damage is done. Once Putin sent in the physical army in 2022 he got trapped in the gambit. In fact he was too late with the Euromaidan to begin with.

Something I’ve noticed: 0:42 the reload in this game is weird, you don’t see a mag drop or a bolt release hit (not sure if the SCAR has it but the M4A1/M16 does). Just something I noticed
Edit: I know, I know, if there’s a mag with rounds that’s dropped there’s a chambered round already, I know that, but I never see a mag being dropped. Also, there does come a point later where he does rack the slide of the SCAR when relowding

Reality is often disappointing.
Is that A-10 using its fuckin’ GAU-8 on T-90s?! The gun’s useless on the older T-72, so it’d make more sense to use AGMs. Also, later on, I’m pretty sure the Leopard 2A4/5/6 can take out a T-90 at combat ranges. Finally, I’m pretty sure the number of T-90s depicted far exceeds Russia’s military budget, when accounting for graft and corruption along the supply chains.
This Mission will always be the most ridiculous of the mw series to me. Berlin is under heavy attack and all we see are 3 leopard 2 tanks who arent able to defeat a Single t 90 on their own so the american hero has to come along and blow it up with an rpg. No thanks. As much as i liked this game, this one part where we germans had the chance taken from us to be shown on the good side will always be a Thorn in my side.

That, and every other country in the game had its Special Forces featured (British SAS, French GIGN, Delta Force, Spetsnaz) but not the Germans.. 3 fucking tanks for the Germans and no more. No KSK, no GSG 9, hell even a German aircraft or two would've been nice to see.

i honestly think it is much easier to defend your own home soil than it is to go onto someone else's turf, cuz that ONE guy who has been in charge of your country for 23 years wants you to, and with the goal of taking over literally everything and making everyone accept your authority, without trillions of dollars to spend and while being sanctioned by half the world and seen as the bad guys by everyone and not even being part of a large coalition of countries for moral support like america had when they went into iraq. in other words: it is pure insanity.

Germany is not one of them. I think only Poland, UK, France and Italy could win. Tthe other are just to small and with very low numbers. Even if Russian forces has shown to be very incompetent at operational and strategic level, they still has the raw brute force of the big numbers. Something that quality cannot surpass by its own.

the old engine is great. ive been playing it on my laptop and recording 4k for my youtube quite well. and when i switch and play on my zotac 3090 its even better! i dont think this game needs a remaster at all. leave it as is

The biggest thing that they got wrong in this game is that they show the Ruzzian army as being competent, well equipped, and a formidable fighting force. Just from the Ruzzian Invasion of Ukraine alone, Ruzzia has shown the world that they are none of those things. I hope they portray the Ruzzians as they actually are in the new Modern Warfare game. Ruzzia is a 3rd world country with nukes.

I'm just a bit disappointed that this mission was the average CoD W+LM2 American mission but elsewhere. MW3 made the player play the Americans in the US (and all over the world), the French in France, the British in Britain. But the Americans in Germany again. It's quite a shame that, apart from the Leopard 2s (that don't do jackshit) the German military seems to be non-existent in this game. Would've been nice to play as the Bundeswehr here.

I watched a lot of walkthroughs on cod modern warfare 1,2,3. Even played it myself after all that this game is still awesome, even in the test of time it is still par compared to triple A games currently on the market. No wonder Activision is still milking this game.
