Elvis Presley was the director he never followed the drums. The drums followed him, the drummer carefully watched every move he made. That was the deal. And Elvis was an entertainer. Elvis always felt that if you wanted to hear him sing and just stand there, you can listen to his records. So when he was on stage, he not only song but he performed. That's what made him the king.
Elvis Presley was a legend and he was a wonderful person who loved all people he had a beautiful soul and charisma like no other I love him and miss him
Nice guy, Thanks very much man. You will really love Elvis, even aside from his music. the kind of man he was for charity. Second to none. He was great towards the black community. You can find that on UA-cam. he made 31 films and concerts and documentaries. Early shows from the 50s and 70s.
Elvis was a consummate entertainer. He was often spontaneous and added things to his performances, so his band and backing singers had to watch him like hawks to keep up with him. So happy you have now discovered the reality behind the Legend that is Elvis. More please. 🙏👌💕🕺
Elvis is not following the drums. The drummer is following him. His drummers Ronnie Tutt said he had to keep his eyes on Elvis every minute because he did not know where he might go next. Elvis’s raised hand in the middle of the he song or his looking back at the band are all his ways of directing the the band. I saw him twice in concert during this time period. It was memorizing both times.
I LOVE seeing people discover the Elvis many of us have loved for decades. You should check out his early catalog and the 68 comeback special. Thank you for taking time to learn what we all know... there will never be another ELVIS ❤
This was always my favorite elvis song and i love how he really shows off his moves and you cam see how he loves to joke around with his band members and how he is in full control he sounds so awesome id would have given anything to be in that audience watching him perform this i bet it was absolutely amazing Another great reaction
Wow, what a great reaction. Elvis loved everybody and grew up poor in a Ghetto in Mississippi, in 1935, he went to a black church and just listened to the wonderful gospel. He actually wanted to be a gospel singer especially in a quartet. He was a true believer and used gospel to sing after his two shows a night in Vegas. He hired his childhood idol gospel singer DJ Sumner and his group the Stamps when he went to Vegas. He also hired the Black group of singings called the sweet Inspirations who had sung with Aretha and other great gospel singers. He was one of the first white artist to hire black backup in one of the most racial charged era's of history. He was a financial supporter of Dr. Martin Luther King" and dedicated his song, "If I Can Dream" to Dr. King, which was the ending to the show in his comeback tv special in 1968. when I was a teenager in the 50's white stations would not play black artists till Elvis changed that. He promoted the careers of both James Brown and Jackie Wilson, in fact when he died James sat by his casket at the funeral. I appreciate your comments about Elvis, he was the real deal. Thanks and Be Blessed🥰
He's not trying to match the drummer, he's having a constant conversation with the drummer (Ronnie Tutt) he was in complete control of everything that happened on that stage. Welcome to the fan club. Glad you liked it. ❤
Elvis was such a masculine man, he drove all the ladies crazy. I can't take my eyes off of him, there is a reason he is such a legend. He had everything voice, talent looks. thank you so much for your great reaction.
OMG.. if you are not captivated from the first note.. or those cheekbones.. Lord knows he died when I was a baby.. but My Mama raised me on him.. a sexy AF man that could sing anything.. If you don't love his talent.. have no use for you. True talent in my lifetime... Amazing talent.. Elvis and Michael.
Duelling with Ronnie on the drums ❤ "He was a bundle of energy set to music and that echo will never die" quote from Rev Brewster, and so true. Bridge Over Troubled Water 1970 please 😊
This song was written especially for him and on the record the song is sung a bit slower. It was # 1 for a long time. But you’re right, he had to be a showman on stage and one needs to make the audience stay interested. Thank you for this. I had a big smile on my face at Elvis and at your reaction. You seem very authentic Sir. God bless. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🌹🌹🎸🕺🏻🎸🕺🏻🎤🎤
There was a comment made by one of the memphis mafia that he especially loved two of them on the Elvis aeroplane. Myrna Smith denied it in her interview and I can't remember which other of sweet inspirations was referenced. Myrna went on to marry Jerry Schilling (who asked her out the same time as Elvis did) after Elvis' funeral. Her interview is also very sweet, as is Estelle Brown's. Elvis just loved women and they loved him back. I mean, who could blame them ❤
He's GREAT right!😍 He was raw and a natural born star..that voice ..such a blessing for all us.Check out We can make it to the morning... I don't think there is a live for the song..but still worth the listen.. You can thank me later lol..I enjoyed your reaction.😀
No. He’s directing the drums. He is always, always in control of everything on that stage. Check out American Trilogy in Aloha from Hawaii which was simultaneously aired all over the world. Just another first. Also, What Now my Live, My Way. Then of course there’s the 68 special, they called it the comeback special because he’d been making all those movies for so long and he was finally coming back to the people. There’s so many. In the Ghetto, If I Can Dream, his gospel, his country and the list goes on and on and on
Elvis the ultimate performer just awesome he was in sync with the drummer he was in total control with his band yes wow indeed great reaction thank you carry on doing Elvis he'll always amaze you Just pretend Polk salad Annie In the ghetto and Walk a mile in my shoes he recorded over 700 😊😊
Oh my days indeed! Keep them coming. Maybe you find the time to react to American Trilogy, Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite '73, one of my favorites (among hundreds of favorites from the King ❤👑🥰)
His first television appearance would not allow him to be filmed from the waist down. The Ed Sullivan Show was the name of the show. My older brother was a huge Elvis fan when I was a child.
i love you and i love watching your elvis journey! pls do "just pretend" live vegas 1970 same yr and stage as the one you just watched ronnie tutt elvis' drummer was his on stage heartbeat and compass they truly had a symbiotic relationship on stage thank you ✿♡
"I get it now" Yep, all of us could watch him sing the same 6 words and dance for 17 hours, and we would love it and want more. Welcome to the magic of the King....
Thank you so much for this wonderful reaction. So fun to see someone really "get it" after watching Elvis and his incomparable performances. There has never been anyone like him before or after. He was so amazing and the more you learn about the man, his generosity, his kindness, his humanity and how humble he was the more you love him.❤❤❤
I agree with what has been said, but l need to say that he loved what he did. And in his live performances you can see the joy, and fun he has with the band and back up singers. He is there to bring joy, maybe thoughtful sadness, but mostly love.
Actually the Drummer Ronnie Tutt had to watch Elvis' moves and drum to his moves! Ronnie Tutt once said," Following Elvis was like following a marble on a warped floor!"
I love this performance! Live even better. The 'stretching' came from karate. He loved kenpo karate. These moves are really hard to do, even without singing.😅 Thank you so much for diving into his legacy!💚☀️ My favourite song, at the moment, is *I'm leaving* from 1971. Btw, he also sang beautiful gospel and spirituals.
I've watched about thirty different reaction videos on this. NOBODY gets the part in the beginning where he sings, "So if an old friend I know (and then he tilts his head down for a half a second and shields his mouth for the camera and quietly sings "Shove It Up Your Nose") drops by to say hello/ Would I still see suspicion in your eyes". So if an old friend I know, shove it up your nose, stops by to say hello.
*_TRIVIA :_* At the end of the song when Elvis reappears from the dark, he has a different suit on. Not to many people catch it. What happened was Elvis did two shows a day in Vegas. Somehow when they edited the two shows from that same day, they got the ending mixed up but never changed it.
You know? I never noticed the jumpsuit change at the end. I guess I always focused on Elvis's moves and facial expressions😀. Thank you for pointing that out.
Elvis worked constantly with his talented band and singers so that they performed seamlessly and perfectly as one tight but flexible unit. The drummer was matching Elvis, not the other way around. The band had to always be alert to what Elvis was doing on stage because he never performed the same way twice. Elvis was an 8th degree karate black belt and was in peak shape in 1970. Unfortunately, drugs for energy and other ones for sleep, along with lifestyle and excessive pressure to perform, helped ruin his health within a few years. Elvis thought the drugs were okay because they were prescribed by a doctor (but unethically).
you need to give some 60's Elvis a go. Anything from 68 Comeback but also...try the Stuck on You performance from when he was on the Frank Sinatra show... total Charisma on that one.
@gabriellabyholm3604. Perhaps ELVIS' whole performance on "The Frank Sinatra Show" from the early '60s. He performs "Who Needs Fame And Fortune"; and "Stuck on You", as a set, which runs around 8 minutes or so. THEN, ELVIS duets with Mr. Sinatra to close out this part of the program. It's absolutely a moment preserved in music history we are able to view! THANK YOU! 🤗
He had his black belt in karate and used those moves on stage for fun with the music. Yes. He surely was a character to enjoy and bring a smile to our faces. 😂😂❤❤
Hello from Tennessee I am new to your channel and I absolutely love your reactions to Elvis please do What Now My Love, Just Pretend and I'll Remember You just a few you are going to love this rabbit hole keep up the good work baby
Without scrolling thru all the comments, I’m sure others agree that Elvis wasn’t just a singer, he was a performer, an entertainer… great reaction!
Elvis was larger than life. There will never be another like him.
Too bad you can only like once😅🤪👌❤️ Never understood how so many people still claim they don’t like him. How can you not?🤷♂️
Elvis Presley was the director he never followed the drums. The drums followed him, the drummer carefully watched every move he made. That was the deal. And Elvis was an entertainer. Elvis always felt that if you wanted to hear him sing and just stand there, you can listen to his records. So when he was on stage, he not only song but he performed. That's what made him the king.
Pure passion, pure talent, ONLY THE KING, ELVIS!!! 👑🎸🎼
No one will ever come close to Elvis’s greatness ❤
He had it all voice movement and showmanship and killer looks.
Elvis was in his prime! One of the of his best performances!!
His voice.. God given talent.
His drummer was awesome....He would go back and forth with him
In the ghetto , polk salads Annie✌️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Elvis was an 8th degree black belt in karate and he would incorporate those moves on stage.
Great reaction was great! Elvis was a one of a kind, and God only created one. THE 👑 KING ⚡️👍🙏🇺🇸🎤🎸🎶🎹🔥
There was nothing contrived or choreographed in Elvis's performances, it all came naturally, it came from deep in his soul.
Elvis Presley was a legend and he was a wonderful person who loved all people he had a beautiful soul and charisma like no other I love him and miss him

Yes, His band LOVED him. They spoke of him years after his death with nothing but love and adoration. Great Reaction!!
The best performer ever there will never be a better entertainer..he and his band were Like one
When Elvis would come out on the stage. He was like a cat. he was all over that stage!!!! Elvis Loved the Ladies and we Loved him and still do
Elvis was a consummate entertainer. He was often spontaneous and added things to his performances, so his band and backing singers had to watch him like hawks to keep up with him. So happy you have now discovered the reality behind the Legend that is Elvis. More please. 🙏👌💕🕺
This is the why he was the one and only Elvis,!!!❤❤He did Martial Arts and used this in his acts❤,,!!!
Elvis was and will always be the best
ELVIS SOOO HANDSOME ♥️♥️♥️
Nobody put the energy into a performance like Elvis
He didn't just sing songs ... he felt every note of them in his body ! This man was born to entertain ... TCB forever !
Thank you,so much for your reaction beautiful God,bless you, ❤The G.O.A.T. TCB⚡🥰❤🙏
Elvis was a black belt,he like to put his moves into his danceing
Yes not everyone knows this
Elvis is not following the drums. How great thou art by Elvis shows how he arranges a well-known gospel song to his liking, and how much he enjoys JD Sumner’s part in it.
I LOVE seeing people discover the Elvis many of us have loved for decades. You should check out his early catalog and the 68 comeback special. Thank you for taking time to learn what we all know... there will never be another ELVIS ❤
Please more Elvis. It's an amazing journey you will never get over. You should do one Elvis reaction a week at least. 😃
one word says it all, ELVIS !
There are many good singers... but ELVIS is the 💎 "Diamond" among them!! 🕺🏻🕯 Thank you
He’s not stretching, he’s doing his Karate moves. He was a blank belt❤
This was always my favorite elvis song and i love how he really shows off his moves and you cam see how he loves to joke around with his band members and how he is in full control he sounds so awesome id would have given anything to be in that audience watching him perform this i bet it was absolutely amazing
Another great reaction
“What Now My Love” Elvis Aloha from Hawaii 1973. Love watching you react to Elvis
Yeeeeeeessss 🎉
He Allowed The World To See Himself. Whom He Really Loved
Wow, what a great reaction. Elvis loved everybody and grew up poor in a Ghetto in Mississippi, in 1935, he went to a black church and just listened to the wonderful gospel. Exactly
If anything Ronnie is matching elvis’s intensity
And to some degree, they would kind of get caught in a feedback loop and egg each other on to go more and more intense. They were good friends.
Indeed that’s his interaction with them.
So glad you're liking what you hear..you'll never be disappointed watching Elvis! I have a request..Just Pretend Vegas 1970. Thanks ✌️
The ultimate showman 😍
Elvis was such a masculine man, he drove all the ladies crazy. I can't take my eyes off of him, there is a reason he is such a legend. He had everything voice, talent looks. thank you so much for your great reaction.

"If I Can Dream", "What Now My Love", and "Just Pretend" should definitely be on the list to checkout!
Blown away is what I thought you'd say!
Duelling with Ronnie on the drums ❤

Bridge Over Troubled Water 1970 please 😊
The look in your eye…… you caught the Elvis bug! Love it! Welcome aboard….. the gift that keeps on giving. ❤
I like how you really pay attention to what you’re watching. Very observant. Please keep the Elvis coming. He was fire
When Elvis went down on his knee was letting everybody know. That was the calm before the storm. LOL!
This song was written especially for him and on the record the song is sung a bit slower. It was # 1 for a long time. Wow
Elvis signals the drummer
Thats the King.
Thanks for your reviews. Elvis and the band were incredible ❤
I’m amazed!!! That exactly was what he and his drummer were doing !!😂
You have to listen to Martin Luther king tribute if I can dream and a song that is still so relevant today in the ghetto
Nobody performs like Elvis..And if you try, you look like a fool...Elvis just looked cool.
The King 👑
Elvis was a human tunefork 😂😂😂❤
Great reaction to this one of a kind performance by the KING. God made no mistakes when he created this song singing soul cat.👍🙏🔥👑⚡️🎸🎤🎶🇺🇸🤘

This was great! Try Polk Salad Annie from 1970 from Elvis, you will not be disappointed!
Oh my days indeed! Keep them coming. Maybe you find the time to react to American Trilogy, Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite '73, one of my favorites (among hundreds of favorites from the King ❤👑🥰)
Watch His Eyes.
Elvis's long time drummer here , Ronnie Tutt, likened playing for Elvis to " playing for a stripper " ... " you had to follow every move "
His first television appearance would not allow him to be filmed from the waist down. The Ed Sullivan Show was the name of the show. My older brother was a huge Elvis fan when I was a child.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe Elvis Presley.Never mind KING he was the Master of thr Universe.
Happy Birthday to the KING.. and for the first time in my social media life I'm giving a thumbs down.. I don't like anyone making fun of Elvis..
"I get it now" Yep, all of us could watch him sing the same 6 words and dance for 17 hours, and we would love it and want more. Welcome to the magic of the King....
He’s beautiful!

He was a black belt, 8th Dan in Karate.. that is his moves he's doing.
The drummer was watching him .. he wasn't trying to match the drummer.
He's a karate master 😅
Actually the Drummer Ronnie Tutt had to watch Elvis' moves and drum to his moves! Ronnie Tutt once said," Following Elvis was like following a marble on a warped floor!"

Great reaction. He was a black belt in karate.
He was a karate black belt- at least a 5th degree, so he was putting his karate moves in there
Yes that smile!! He also has Cherokee in his blood from his mother !ll. Thus the cheek bones!!!!
This was #1 in 1969; unfortunately it was his last # 1!😢 He "made the charts"; but,no #1
