It is inevitable that you'll find option to spend intriguing, because that is how gacha try too push player too spend,it is gacha nature.....but I personally think kuro games gacha monetization is quite fair and better than many other titles/company
HSR did actually add two new endgame modes in 2.3, Apocalyptic Shadows and Divergent Universe.
I haven't played Apocalyptic Shadows yet, but Divergent Universe is an off-shoot of Simulated Universe ran by Screwllum. What's nice about it is that if your characters are not up to snuff with your Equilibrium Level, they will be automatically leveled up with skills maxed and an ok relic set. This allows you to use teams you would have never been able to use before due to your characters not being leveled up and just use whoever you want out of the characters you own. Not to mention, you can change your party at any time during the run as many times as you want. I really like it, and really need to play more of it.

As for WuWa, I don't think we'll need to worry about it becoming pay to win. As long as you have the skills and your characters built, you'll be able to clear any content. Powercreeping will definitely not be as much of an issue as it is in other games. And while Calcharo seems to be getting powercreeped next patch, the character doing so (Ziangli Yao) is apparently being given for free in an event, so we won't even be required to pull for him.
I think their is also another thing that can make WuWa less F2P friendly that is often overlooked.
Visual clarity in boss fights.
Now, what do I mean by that? Well, if you go to Aix, or Memphis simulation for example on the highest difficulty, they LOVE to fly all over the place, break your camera lock, and then attack from off screen, which can result in an instant death because you LITERALLY couldn't see them. Not just that, between character particle effect, and boss effects, it can ENTIRELY obscure what a boss is doing. If you want an extreme example, take a look at Illusive Realm when you've got a ton of boons. Sure you're a death ball that usually can't die, but you also can't see what a boss is doing (it just usually doesn't matter because you're so amped up)
So I've explained how visual clarity can screw with a fight, but how does that make the game more or less F2P? Simple, if I've got maxed out Jinshi with a maxed out resonance chain and good echos, then I can basically chose to not engage with the mechanics whatsoever, you don't have to parry, nothing, because you will shit out so much damage that it doesn't matter. Pair that with Maybe an R4 Yuanwu who spits out 6-8k HP shields relatively easily and charges her up, and you basically don't have to 'engage' with most mechanics.
For a F2P player, they simply won't do that same damage, so they HAVE to engage with parrys and dodges and all that. So if bosses start being introduced that screw with visual clarity, F2P are put into a position where their win condition, playing good, is quite literally hidden. Hell, look at Jue and how annoying he is to fight because of dashing around and the overly zoomed out camera, to me that attempt as visual flair will instead ruin the game potential because of visual flair being more important then visual clarity.

I don't particularly think it will be much of an issue for f2p, as of 1.2 Wuwa is planning on giving out a free 5 star through an event which I'm honestly pretty excited for cause he looks cool.
i wish instead of dmg creep they just give us endgame that requires more teams. While i think imaginarum theater in genshin has bad restrictions, I think it is the right way to create engame that requires more teams so the old or bad characters have a use. That way new characters don´t need to be stronger just as good as the others and have still value. So i hope we get endgame that requires more characters build

And for hologram its just an DPS check because of the timer.

So i think they need to remove the timer make it more skill and not DPS check. Make the movement of enemy more complex. So you can still clear with any unit you have you just need a skill

I just used food to help me clear the Holograms pretty early at UL42, level 70 DPS's. I hate that you can't use food in ToA though since I'm pretty much locked from 30/30 until I get level 80 resonators. I also don't have Jianxin or Jiyan so it takes a bit more effort for me as is, but I did manage 26/30 so far.
ive been doing genshin abyss with the same two teams for over a year now, i hope wuwa stays the same too
You cant pay to win in singleplayer game tho.
Pay to not suffer hard content would be a much better wording. (you dont wana know how much i suffered in recent abyss in genshin due to not having neuvilette to 36 star it)

You can. If content is walled behind a stat check you cant meet without paying, then its absolutely pay to win. Early 30 stars ToA is P2W, but thats about it. And for a gacha game thats incredibly low
players pay eventually but i am so sure there are players like me who just pays to get the battle pass.
And players like me that doesn't pay anything and get the characters 😅

I highly doubt changli will a better sub dps than yinlin. Yinlin is by far the best universal sub dps until Zhezhi. All because of the short rotation and coordinated atks.
baizhi it so powerfull in illuve relm , and btw abaout jinshi its powerfull yes , but its suck to use in hologram in my opinion
@adenugraha2208 jinhsi is very good in hologram but you'll need a good support shielded and healer
From what I’ve read from PGR players, Kuro has always been generous, so I suspect they will continue this and players will be able to pull characters often in wuwa. There needs to be challenging content and there will always be whales who dump $$$ to clear it fast. I absolutely love your videos. Letsgooo….subscribe to support good CCs!

Let me save you some time: Yes.
It's a gacha. THIS IS NOT AN MMO.
Gacha's are for people who have money to spend and no time to waste.
MMO's are for people who have time to waste and have enough money for occasional p2w items. (ie event lootboxes, christmas themed bundles, etc)
So yes. Wuwa will be p2w. Probably not yet since it's the 1st year. Definitely in year 2.
Coming from a game with PvP and using the trash tier units to beat the meta characters. I don't understand this pay to win model lol.

Pay for convenience probably is the proper word but no worries whatever mode they will have in the future, for sure it can be cleared by the most trash units ever lol.

@@TheAmethystAbrams figured. No worries. I pretty much played every character in game because I build all what I have (their echoes might've been subpar because of the lack of mats).
And I could say that yangyang and jianxin had longevity when it comes to usefulness. Aalto and Chixia had some crazy damage output even with just trash echoes.
And I really ddin't play everyone because I don't have Calcharo, Jiyan and Verina. See my account already had been handicapped, I don't have Verina which is the fastest concerto generating in game that you can slot to every team but still I can clear content.
Yeah, I'm sure these characters will be doing just fine, not as good as the one they will release in the future (understandable because the company sells them) but they can handle themselves. If not, I will force it lol.
So I shouldn't worry about these things and just enjoy the game. You know I really have massive skill issues in this game and I always happen to love the underdog in any game. If players keep calling a character a trash, I will main them and keep using them to clear content and prove them wrong lol.
Deph of Elusive Realm doesnt "catter" at all to Jinshi, since the best Echo in this mode is the Turtle, which she makes terrible use of since she's mostly airborne. The best characters in the mode currently are Jianxin and Baizhi, since they synergise the most with it. But its honnestly beside the point anyway, since at the moment, the crazy multipliers you can stack in there lets you fully clear the mode with pretty much any level 70 unit with invested traces and a 4* weapon
imho, it is not a p2w game (if you can apply it to a single player game at all) even if it has some end game content (i.e. not required for the main plot to proceed) that is easier to do with new characters.
bro, u can easily beat Spiral Abyss w/out the new unit on the banner. In Star Rail though is a different story. Also in Wuwa the powercreep is so fast even at 1.0
sad to say but all Gacha games including Hoyo games are the same.

I hate to be that person, but it's gacha and if it's "generous" you should question how it will compensate for it. It's all about making money, business, revenue. Look at Jinsi, look at Yao (they are going to be powercrept too). It's already here. But again, whatever, it's not the 1st gacha to do it and definetely not the last.

Gacha games are inherently pay 2 win, wuwa is already pay 2 win, any games that monetize in game progression is pay 2 win u know what you sign up for when playing gachas
yeah was a bit confused by the title and the game picked for the title, even if Characters do not get power crept, you can pay for summons and get the character a second time to upgrade their stats based on the game. this is P2W because most Free players do not get a second or third 5 star character.
It's a gacha game. Welcome.
There's no P2W because there's no endgame the game is still beginning. Genshin has been out there for 4 years and it's like at 1/2 of it's story.
There are tons of F2P using Calcharo as main who cleared the game. They even solo Holograms, to say it's becoming P2W means you can't clear the endgame without spending.
Just look at their prior game, it's the easy, they are more generous than most gacha companies

Unfortunately this is more like pay for comfort (since you're getting access to characters that are catered to specific content, ieg Jinhsi being Spectro and releasing Holo-Crownless)
As for old characters catching up to year 1.5 or year 2 characters there is powercreeping but you can still clear end game contents with the older chars so long as you have them built and you know how to play against bosses.
It's just a matter of want if you're going to use an old unit or not
What i'm wishing for them to add on end-game that they already have in PGR

its already P2W, you can pay for extra summons to get more pulls of the same character to increase their power, even without power creep, its P2W by default. what you should be asking is how bad P2W is it, does a little bit of money get you a lot, or does it require a lot to get a good deal.
Well, someone got to paid. Let's just hope the whale carries us. If the game dies, this problem will increase even more. F2P players, at the end of the day, are just there as bait for whales to come in and fund the game.

Kuro never did in PGR and we are exaclty seeing a glimpse of their generosity in WuWa, we will never be forced to spend for characters in WuWa it will be optional if you really want to simp hard for a cetain character sure but not required.
Fact is if rumors and leaks are true and they give Xiangli Yao for free that should already be proof enough and a great sign of things to come in WuWa

any game without pvp isnt p2w also hsr,pgr,genshin etc all of them are able to be 100% cleared as f2p. in pgr and ww it simply requires suffcient skill mixed with dps. while genshin and hsr are pure dps checks and there are plenty of 4 star chars of every element. if you are afraid of p2w simply look at pgr several years old and everything can be cleared without spending a dime
no way you believe that about PGR, when you need every element team for endgame.

If you think you should be able to play the entirety of all content not spending at all then you're not a contributing member of the community and not helping support the game and future content. Therefore you have no business having a complaint past 1.0 in any game.

It is normal for a gacha game to release a character thay is catering ToA/Spiral Abyss because that's what marketing is. Wuthering waves however prove that even a 1.0 F2P can clear it. You just need to suffer a bit.
The illusive realm is F2P, that's why they use limited characters for free.
Atm, Tower Of Adversity seemed to cater towards Electro and Aero despite the current banner being Jinhsi. So it seems that the devs might cater ToA to current characters, but not the immediate ones? This will be tested when it resets, because if it resets and its catered to Spectro then yea they might do so. But I feel like this will backfire since there are only 3 spectro units atm. But then again, I don't think the game will be p2w. In the near future anyway. I hope it goes in the direction of PGR and Arknights where they introduce you a new mechanic and give you a free unit together with it. PGR's new "4 star" is that guy who have a built in parry in his kit, which is fucking cool and you can get for free thru the event. I might just be coping, but I believe in Kurogames.
hoyo games however, its gonna be fucking p2w. i still remember when they introduced Kokomi and Abyss was heavily catered to healers. Genshin tho was not that much back then because Spiral Abyss was the only instance that it becomes p2w. But now? maybe is. HSR however is heavily p2w, I remember getting to the next "world level" and I cant do the next difficult well because my characters are not built so I had to borrow an E2 Acheron of which she just destroys everything for me.

@@Kittysune12 yea like i said, meta and power creep in Genshin is not that much. but maybe for now tho because of their new end game ? idk, i quit the game ages ago. but from what i remember, Genshin power creep and meta didn't really affect the game that much. i am simply talking about the devs designing the Spiral Abyss to cater to the new character. even at that time when i quit the game, my team then was able to do all content back then.
my issue back then tho was i dont 36stars abyss everytime back then because either the boss is a counter to my team or something. like i remember the worm boss being in Abyss and it was such an ass dealing with that boss that i didnt bother, i didnt have character that can kill things within few seconds kind of thing to deal with the boss

There is no pvp, so it can not be p2w. There needs to be a competitive mode you can win by spending. So, no. This will never be p2w.

@su3t if you are a light spender or a f2p player and the endgame content becomes way too hard but people are clearing it with the new characters easier then you'll feel like you need to pull for the new characters to clear endgame without struggle
Dont get it.. This game is clearly skill based they can even use chixia to clear all current tower, theres f2p encore vid do 30/30 already... 1.2 they give *5 xiangliyao free.. On top of all that has been given to us so far+ the gacha system which is more generous than other big game... I fail to understand this topic of what ur trying to say

I always roll my eyes when i hear about ptw in a pve game. Pay to win what exactly? Win implies you beat someone in a match, you can't win against the environment. Can you whale and accelerate clearing content faster than ftp? Sure. You affect no player experience whatsoever by paying, except yours. And it is highly likely you are only making things more boring for yourself too because gacha game content is tailor made for ftp or small spenders.
