He is just so cracked unit! I'm just dropping 100k to 200k Ult which is just insane! ❤ He is also the only Unit that can Slow Bosses for a long period of time aside from spectro MC❤
What's even crazier is that Xiangli Yao can slow down enemies hit by his liberation(works on bosses) and as far as I have noticed when he is on his resonance liberation state even after you swap him out and when he comes back in he would still have those cubes meaning as long as the 24s duration ain't over you can quick swap him out once or twice and he'd still be able to launch 2 law of reigns or 3 if you have already mastered his rotation
I also noticed xiangli yao can slow down enemies and can even spam this to slow them all. Even Bosses are affected by his slow. He is a very Broken unit with this kit its crazy!
i'm glad people are noticing that lingering tunes is better than thundering on him. its nice to have a character that finally uses it i have so many pieces.

Lingering tunes sucks at quickswap oriented team comps in which xiangli yao is strong at due to the amount of vibration depletion you can do in one liberation rotation + intro quickswap A lot of people dont like void thunder due to it needing to use a heavy attack to gain an electro stat but since you only need to do the action/input of soing a heavy attack, you can skip the HA animation by doing a reso skill. Its not that hard Yao reso skill - yangyang reso skill - Verina intro - 3BA - Ult - geochelone echo - 3BA jump - Yao intro - tempest memphis - intro yanyang during the 6th attack animation of memphis - yang yang skill - HA - jump - forte circuit attack - Ult - Heron - intro yao - 1BA - 1HA Input - Reso skill to cut the HA animation - Ult - Ult combo - Rinse and repeat. The only time Lingering tunes is his meta build is if yao is S5 since that is a 500+ dmg multiplier from outro skill + LT + S5

If I'm not mistaken, Xiangli Yao is unable to deal heavy attack damage during his resonance liberation. This means you need to incorporate a heavy attack into his rotation before using the liberation, if you want the full bonus.
I was planning to pull on his weapon ,but ended up pulling on Zhezhi and her weapon... So this might be the time to finally use the battle pass weapon box for him.
That e skill + revamp in his ult is a genius way to corporate him into a quickswap teamcomp. Kuro really cooked well with his skit. More amazingly when he is FREE.

Only one team gets my Verina and that's Jinshi. At least you proposed a couple alternatives, but I wish more guides would really take that into consideration. When Guides are saying "Use verina on this new character's team!" it kinda makes said guide feel lazy because it's a given fact that Verina is the top support character.
Stonard’s (BP weapon) 15 second duration refreshes every time you cast your resonance skill, regardless if you hit an enemy or not, so its basically a 100% uptime in his standard rotations
With thundering set, tempest echo, sig weapon and Yinlin’s outro I’m getting +200k dmg on just his initial liberation hit. Now thanks to him I was finally able to 30/30 ToA! RIP Calcharo
For Thundering set you must do heavy attack to get the other stack. Skill only gives one stack no matter how many times you spam it. Tunes is the better set imo because the echo skill is instant and you always get the full atk buff, while you have to waste time doing Mephis attacks and heavy attacks with Thundering, all of which are a dps loss. If you have his sig weapon, Atk% is very close to % dmg (electro dmg), so yeah, Tunes is the better set mainly thanks to its much, much better main echo. Never liked the electro set and I'm really glad the 2 best electro in the game dont need it.

I kinda main a S2 Calcharo since the day 1 but have to give up on him at ~lv50 because of the clunkiness and his too many flaws such as lacking of AOE damage, no gap closing moves, Death messenger is the only way to deal damage but not so easy to perform without taking heavy damages himself, quick swap and pitch perfect comboes needed for decent dps, easy to be interupted, etc.

I just use the tempest Memphis on him since it's a two hit echo to get the 12% electro DMG increase. The thundering Memphis is better because it gives both electro and liberation DMG increase but that long skill animation ain't wrong it in my opinion 🤷🏼. He's excellent though can't complain. I wish I had farmed all his forte materials cause now I have to wait until tomorrow to continue 😭.
