I just bought the Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 with the silent and smooth Brose belt driven motor and an extra battery for $3,500. They had a spring special going on. Very comparable bikes. I added my own keyed alike cafe lock, a Topeak quick track adapter for the rack, and a Cane Creek Thudbuster suspension seat post. I chose the Brose over the Bosch because of the belt driven butteryness and silent, stealth ride. I heard the new Bosch is noisy. That’s a beautiful bike tho, couldn’t go wrong with either. The Gazelle has a sturdier rack vs a minimalist rack on the Vado, better 4 piston brakes vs 2 pistons on the Vado, and an integrated cafe lock vs not one on the Vado. Thanks for the review and cut your hair already you dirty hippy!
We just bought two of these bikes and we bought them from Fly rides San Diego. Best place to purchase and the people are knowledgeable. The bikes are excellent and are a blast to ride. I think you get what you pay for. I highly recommend Gazelle and Fly rides.
I ride a Tern Vektron EBike I just turned 80 and I have been long term cyclist.I now realized I some help on the hills but I ride my EBike more and more .Thanks I really enjoy your videos Some time if I am in LA I would like to visit Fly Ride.🚲🇨🇦
This past March I bought a 2020 Bolton Ebike. I love it. In April and May I have gone over 400 miles already! Last year May of 2019 I bought a Trek Super Commuter+7. Great bike with a Bosch mid drive motor. Goes 20mph. Good solid sleek looking bike BUT very expensive!! I actually prefer my 2020 Bolton Fat tire Ebike that has much more power even thought it is a Bafang 750W hub motor plus the Bolton bike has a throttle which is a LOT of fun!! The Bolton Ebike and the Trek Ebike are two totally different riding experiences! I do prefer the Bolton Ebike now!
I’m riding a Magnum Metro Plus and it has been good to me. I have put about 15,000 miles on the bike in the first year and 7,000 this year. Fenders have been a problem and the tires a too thin for my liking. I thought the Gazelle looked good with the new Bosch motor but I’m worried about the range. You just convinced me otherwise. Really, Bosch needs to get real and sell a 750 watt motor here in America. Turbo is the only way to ride.
Great review. I’m thinking of getting a couple soon. Do you know if one could upgrade from the Purion to the Kiox or even the new Nyon, i.e. is there space for either to be mounted over the stem?
I've been researching eBikes, went to Mike's Bikes to test ride and discovered the Gazelle. I don't recall if it was a Medeo or Ultimate, but it had tires more similar to a mountain bike than a road bike. Anyway, I really enjoyed the ride and started doing research and discovered your video. I live next to open space near Mt. Diablo and canal trails. I really would like a bike that I can commute on (a 5 mile distance) but also take in the open space to ride and keep up with my husband. Im not bound by any brand and my eyes glaze over when you start talking about specs and torque and stuff like that. I realize it all plays a part in the performance, but I would really like a bike that will serve me well and will not cost as much as a car. What do you recommend?
Medeo T10 is sweet spot between performance and bang for your buck value. I get 75+ miles of range in eco mode. Recently rode the Katy Trail in Missouri and was getting 90 miles of range.
I really like this bike, especially in the champion red. I think the display is the only ding on this bicycle. For 4k they could have least have had the intuvia.
I dunno, I'm with Scott- I like my Purion minimalist display since it keeps me focused on the road. When I rode with the Intuvia I spent a lot of time messing with it lol.
@@meganfazzio5710 hey personal preference is cool and I can see how a simple handle mounted display can be easier to deal with I just feel like its bit cost saving measure on Gazelle's part
@@meganfazzio5710 Can you easily swap the Intuvia and Purion in and out or once you have one attached you are "stuck with that display? Also does it require a dealer to install the Intuvia on a bike that comes with the Purion?
$3999... A low price! What planet is he living on? And when a price is in 4 digits we don't say 39, 99 we say 3999.... 39,99 would imply $39.99 which is obvious from other replies. Do not try to shrink down the price by disguising the figures.. And let's also say $3,999 is $4,000.. They just don't want people to think that.. Maybe they could have sold it at $3999,99...? That's the price of a motorbike or a decent used compact motorcar... He is so out of touch with the reality of real people incomes ... Is this the artificial world that people from Los Angeles live in and is this how they get their bad reputation? Finally the weight of this e-bicycle is very heavy. Even by heavy ebike standards... This was glossed over in the commentary..
The T10+ is meticulously well crafted, sturdy, and fast. Gazelle really nailed it. Go Dutch!
The Gazelle Ultimate T10+ is such a comfortable and fast ride. I’m a big fan of the cafe lock. You’ll never forget your lock ever again!
I couldn't believe the pickup on that Bosch Gen 4. Unreal on a bike like this!

Never cutting the hair! 😂Vado 4.0 is great bike!
Hey...belt drive on a Specialized Vado? Is that a thing? Haven't seen that, doesn't appear anywhere. How'd did that happen? Thanks!

What the weight capacity of this bike? I’m 6’ tall and 300 lbs. Any issues?
You at the top end. I would loose 50 lbs.
I am 230 lbs 6’2” and my Gazelle ultimate 380 plus is great.
What brand of panniers did you use on that bike?

4k? Tern GSD is 4k.
3,099k for Tern HSD P9

$39.99... Bargain!
Haha, these things just keep getting cheaper and cheaper!
I'm riding in Snow environment
What saddle bag was on the bike for this video?
Sizing Question: I’m 5’9” (appx 33” inseam) and wondering if the 53cm high step would work for me or should I go for the mid-step?
4 GRAND for a bike which will be obsolete in two years
get the BELT drive ;)
$3999 ou $39.99
Haha I'll give you one guess!
