This one of the perfect examples of how the music compliments the theme of the scene so well, in the beginning it sounds like a funeral but toward the end it starts sounding like the choir is getting louder to symbolize Rengoku cheering on Tanjirou, I love this scene.
1:38 to 2:03 are words to live by and reflect how even Rengoku knows he is the most noble and righteous character in the show because he essentially just told Tanjiro to follow the entire philosophy that makes up Rengoku’s character. He’s found the way of dealing with any grief that I strive to attain. He doesn’t stop to grieve, he kind of bottles it up but he puts it behind him and makes piece with the bottle, he solves it, and any grief that he doesn’t make piece with he hides it in his face to keep it from causing others to feel grief for him. Not only does he achieve the acceptance stage, which I have trouble with, but he flips his grief on its head and uses it as fuel to push him forward and he keeps going. He doesn’t avoid it or grieve it, he just accepts his grief on the spot though it’s obviously still with him in a way.

No you are not. I just recently was having a tough time with all of life’s responsibilities. For some reason those woods pulled me out of my funk and restored my passion and desire to succeed. SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE!!
I come back to this whenever I need help pushing past my discomforts. Something so simple as "Set your heart ablaze" to inspire people is truly amazing. Rengoku was a great character, written well and the voice acting was phenomenal. "If you are feeling disheartened or somehow not enough. Set your heart ablaze" words to live by
Rengoku speech: *”if you are feeling disheartened, that you are somehow not enough, set your heart ablaze. Dry your eyes and look ahead. You may feel like digging your heels in, but the flow of time waits for no one.”* ❤
Okay: not only does this speech do a brilliant job of showing just how human this man is yet show how brave he is, it is incredibly sweet. He sees people of value in Tanjiro and Nezuko in a way that neither of most others of the Hashira did. People worth dying for but he doesn’t want them to be sad that he is dying. He wants them to go far beyond everything that he has ever done. This surpasses most anime mentors in a way that I can’t even really fathom since they knew each other for an evening. I respect people who enjoy the dub, I don’t see a reason to hate the dub. But I gotta admit, Rengoku’s japanese VA has touched my heart, so it will always be my favorite. That doesn’t mean his English VA is bad tho, just a personal preference.
@@Minicario So how did the Japanese voice touch your heart when you're incapable of understanding him without subtitles? Is it just the sounds of his voice because none of his words are going to be coherent to you? I mean you don't even know how he truly sounds and can't really assess his acting because you're unable to hear him in the same way as a Japanese person.
I saw the japnese version with the subtitle that goes "NO MATTER HOW DEVASTATED YOU MAY BE BY YOUR OWN WEAKNESS OR USELESSNESS: SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE! Grit your teeth and look straight ahead" I'll never forget these words in my life. It felt like he was looking right at my heart and talking to my soul.

I do not care what ANYONE says about either VA, they both pulled this off spectacularly, and anyone who says otherwise clearly denies that we all felt emotional and learned something regardless of which language it was in..besides that, this character brought absolute tears to my eyes, opening up a view I never thought to look through whenever for example; My mom doesn’t acknowledge my art work that I show her..well the next time I do that again, I’ll know to keep going despite her lack of interest..but this character is LEGIT built differently in a totally different way compared to other characters who die..
Rengoku is quite possibly the best written character in all of anime as he shows the devotion of any man and further, he cares for anyone no matter their circumstances but most of all he was able to make all of us cry at his death. For someone who was portrayed as somewhat of an asshole when he was introduced even allowing an innocent girl to be harmed just because of the fact that she was a demon he was handled perfectly in the movie, turning him from an asshat to someone with a heart of gold or more appropriately "A blazing heart"
I've never cried to words before but this... this just hits hard "set your heart ablaze" these words will always be remembered in game or irl these words will always be in my heart when I fight. May you rest in peace rengoku

As of the writing of this comment, I’m living a life I’m not happy with. I know deep down I can change where I am in life and live a life that will make me truly happy but as of lately I’ve struggled to find motivation and reasons to push myself to go after the life I want. Hearing Rengoku’s last words, especially when he says “Set your heart ablaze” are the words I listen to every time I feel demotivated or depressed to fight my inner battles everyday. No matter how hard life will continue to be, Rengoku’s speech will be my constant reminder to never give up! Demon Slayer is the first Anime I’ve watched in its entirety and I’m happy that it’s my first one because I now have a better understanding on why Anime is so beloved by a lot of people!
These past 3 years have been so heavy for me but I try to do what I can not just for myself and others but demon slayer made me cry harder than anything else rengokus words felt like to me not just to tanjiro and the others but also to yourself even as he says "if your feeling disheartened or somehow that you are not enough set your heart ablaze dry your eyes and look ahead" and also "you may feel like digging your heals in but the flow of time waits for no one" such small sentences but so much meaning to them with grieving over a lot I haven't been able to accomplish and my own anxiety about moving forward again this scene along shook me and brought me to tears cause my parents also struggled with trying to help me and i k ow they try they're amazing for that but I think hearing this is what helped me have more clarity and seeing what I can do and just trying just a bit more so from now on I'll set my heart ablaze and look ahead thank you rengoku
Not sure if anyone else does this, but I revisit this every time I feel disheartened or feel like giving up (this and rocky balboa speech). Because I don not want to give up, so I use this video to remind myself to set my heart ablaze. I.e find the reasons to keep moving forward, find what drives me. So when you see that there are more views, that's probably me and anyone else that does the same thing, we are struggling but not giving up
His last words were ... "Go ahead and live with your head held high! No matter how devastated you maybe be by your own weakness or uselessness....🔥Set Your Heart Ablazed 🔥 Grit your teeth and look straight ahead." 🔥 = best quote in my opinon..
Akaza was the one most sad about Rengoku in the end. he wasnt telling rengoku to become a demon for the sake of muzan, evil, or anything like that. Akaza wanted him as a friend, since he doesnt like any of the other upper ranks.
Truly an inspiring man, someone every person should strive to be like! A year ago I was going through so much and I felt like just sitting in a dark room and cry alone, I did for a while but I remembered Rengoku and his speech, and so I was able to “dry my eyes” get up and “hold my head up high” grit my teeth and “set my heart ablaze”, I was able to get the help I needed and am doing much better, and I truly do believe that in a way Rengoku saved me! 🔥
He will be alive as long as he is remembered. Kyojuro rengoku, the former flame hashira is the burning flame of passion that lights up the fire in our hearts
When you realise that the real people can’t boost you up but walking running sketches can make you cry, laugh, angry and emotional, that’s anime for ya.. I love you Rengoku, I wish you were real, would have worshipped you. Man, am I crying as I am typing… Set your heart ablaze…. 🔥
What's insane.. is that they managed to take a total stranger.. give us a few hours with him and.. yet.. his death shocked and gave us grief beyond meassure
'''If you are feeling disheartened. That you are somehow not enough. Set your heart ablaze.'' These words immediately made him one of the greatest heros in all of anime. His final words were intended purely to inspire those around him. To give them hope and inspiration. He stuck to his convictions to the very end. He proved everyone wrong and became powerful without having to rely on talent. Just like fire, he is the epitome of passion. He valued his work. He valued the lives of others. Always put a smile on his face regardless of how dire the situation was. Rengoku treated Tenjero and the other Demon Slayer as equals and showed them genuine kindness despite his superior position. He died, not only saving Tenjero...but the other demon slayers and the over 200 innocent passengers aboard. His actions and quick thinking allowed for ZERO innocent casualties and the near defeat of an Upper Moon 3 demon. Rengoku truly set my heart ablaze by his words and actions. The fact he was able to have such a profound impact on the audience despite only prominently be seen in a 2 hour movie just shows how well the character was crafted.

No matter how hard life will continue to be, Rengoku’s speech will be my constant reminder to never give up!
Demon Slayer is the first Anime I’ve watched in its entirety and I’m happy that it’s my first one because I now have a better understanding on why Anime is so beloved by a lot of people!
One of the many times when dub was better than sub.
Rest In Peace Rengoku.
Nah they are both equal and that's a good thing.
@@leosolcanonizado4065 yes yeah you are right , even the subbed version is great it also hits equally as much as dubbed does.
Kyojuro Rengoku, the true goat of demon slayer. He's still one of my favorite characters in the anime to this day.
When he said set your heart ablaze it gave me chills
"set your heart a blaze" I never new I'd be so touched
Made me tear apart. Thank you, Rengoku.
This speech gave me the confidence and motivation to pass my final exams.
Thank you, Rengoku.
No matter how devastated you maybe be by your own weakness or uselessness....🔥Set Your Heart Ablazed 🔥
Grit your teeth and look straight ahead."
🔥 = best quote in my opinon..
Rengoku, the flame hashira, you were a perfect hashira. I dont even have the words to express my respect for you. I will always miss you Rengoku
These are some very motivational words ngl
Anytime I’m Feeling Low, I Listen To This 🔥✨ Anyone Listening To This Remember Pain Is Temporary ✨
So sad..
Trust your heart
Follow the path your heart trusts
Set your heart ablaze
Rengoku
some graet brave man said if your feeling disheartened that you are somehow not enough SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE
Akaza was the one most sad about Rengoku in the end. he wasnt telling rengoku to become a demon for the sake of muzan, evil, or anything like that. Akaza wanted him as a friend, since he doesnt like any of the other upper ranks.
I love how soft his voice becomes in this, it actually caught me off guard when I first saw it
Rengoku really was like Tanjiro's older brother he never had. :,)
*SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE* ❤️🔥

When you realise that the real people can’t boost you up but walking running sketches can make you cry, laugh, angry and emotional, that’s anime for ya..
I love you Rengoku, I wish you were real, would have worshipped you.
Man, am I crying as I am typing…
Set your heart ablaze…. 🔥
I almost cried watching this for the first time😢😢
What's insane.. is that they managed to take a total stranger.. give us a few hours with him and.. yet.. his death shocked and gave us grief beyond meassure
In the wise words of Rengoku
“Set your PC ablaze”
"always remember, never cry about someone dying or died because you will see them no matter what because everything has its end."

"Set your heart ablaze". - Kyojuro Rengoku
R.I.P Kyojuro Rengoku, a legend

Me too😭 I got so attached to him
'''If you are feeling disheartened.
“You should go pay it a visit”
Idk why given the situation, but I heard so much malice in that line
