True Facts
Sho Nuff!
2022!
Dang...they sound good!!!
I got to see around 2006, and sounded just as good
A perfect example of how great music used to be!
Music Like This, Will Be Here Forever! YES! ❤️🔥🥰
Yesssss!
The notes big man in the overalls is hitting. Band has two great singers.
I couldn't believe it when he started to sing. Had to rewind to be sure. Damn.
Falsetto done properly.
And through the past 5 decades I always thought it was the dude singing lead was the same one hitting those high notes, especially when we heard it on the original album version.
@@seanlewis1148 Same thing I thought and I've got the album.
This live performance is as good as it gets!! Great singers and the band was
fabulous as well.
We don't have voices like this anymore wow!
I know one thing, I will listen to Bloodstone forever and ever.
They sound as good today as they did back in the day.
Truly love them!
Classic. They don't make music like this anymore.
So true!!
YES SIR!
I used to say the same .. but Trish Toledo, Joey Quinones etc actually have represented the right way .
And they never will again
Wait a minute.....
On point vocals/harmony AND playing their own instruments?
Big Ups to Bloodstone 💥
Well, back then, it was EWF, Kool & the Gang, Funkadelic/Parliament, Ohio Players...
Yes sir, real music played by real artist
That's how it was in there era, Bands had to have a real talent or get eaten up on stage.
I'm telling you-- wooooweee!!
@@kevc21 A bass player friend of Mike Mitchell got the gig. Their drummer had some excuse why he couldn't make it. So i got to record blow the roof off the sucker
I still love that soul music even in this year 2022. The latest music is just not for me.
The latest music is not music it is anti-music
You got that right Captain Keyboard
@@margaretswanagan8237 You are marvelous, Margaret! Thank you for tapping or typing to me.
@@captainkeyboard1007 you’re very welcome Captain Keyboard
Yes I feel exctly the same way. The music back then was real music real instruments. Todays so called music sucks big time
I’m still listening in 2022 love ya Bloodstone
You are not alone!
OUTSTANDING!! I was 14 years old when “Natural High” came out. The Manhattans had “There’s no me without you” at about the same time. What a great time for music!!
Dells, Dramatics...
@@kevc21 Bloodstone and the Delfonics, along with the 2 groups you mentioned, are my ALLTIME
favorites!! Great music last forever.
@@angelathomas3339 yeah, that period is interesting to me. Our family was military. We were living in Germany, early 70s. One radio station: AFN (Armed Forces Network). Not a ton of R&B. Thanks to the internet era, I back tracked, and have fallen in love with all that soul. Again, we had SOME, if it made the Top 40. But listening to whole Albums FREE on the UA-cam is unbelievably amazing to me. The internet is a blessing and a curse (eats up time for me). 😀
The seventies period was a good time for music and us.
So was `I born in '64.....the music was just so real and I remember this so fondly!
Not only could these Brothers in BLOODSTONE sing🎵🎤🎼 but they are true musicians 🎼🥁🎸🎼. I believe that they were absolutely underrated as a band that did it all.
Today’s generation of music lovers are missing out on actual artists that make (music).
They are so talented, they didn't receive all the credit they deserved. The brother in the overalls and hat has an amazing voice.
their so underrated
Natural High was played constantly on the radio at the time. It was part of the soundtrack to the 1970's. What an era!
Summer of 1973 and I was 16. I got the Natural High album. I played it a lot.
Superior quality is a understatement for their talent and performance delivery! ✊🏾 🍻👍🏾
Still listening in 2022. These 2 songs brings tears to my eyes. 💚🧡💜
And in 2023 !!! 💯💯💯
Forever ,,, I listen to this song weekly and most of times with my headphones🎼🎧🙏
This is grown folks music, not that garbage you hear in today's music I Remember this back in the 1970's this is what you call music.
Recorded in the 50s
DAMN RIGHT!!!!
Yassssss💞
Yes indeed
Sho nuff!!!
Grown folk music right here. Bedtime for the kids.
For Sure 👍
@Jj ...But I just woke up. Why can't I listen? How am I supposed to learn? 🤔

There is one bloodstone member left. . .omg..😭😭 we love you. Sir harry .
Their microphones are on and their instruments are actually plugged in. That alone put them miles ahead of 90% of what you see today!
Facts
Today they sing behind pre-recorded tracks a lot of times.
Facts,my brother allows
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
And there you have it something called "REAL MUSIC"!! I guess P. Diddy's never heard of it !! And the sad part about it they didn't come close to making the money he did. Look at the clothes.
Love the Apple and Bellbottoms. That’s how we rolled back in the day. Bloodstone was as good as any group from the 70’s! Love them! ❤️
RIP Bassman, falsetto, songwriter of Bloodstone's million seller 'Natural High' Charles McCormick.
These guys are great 👍 👌 👏
Love it enjoy listening to Bloodstone it a rap!!!
one of the all time most underrated R&B/soul group of all times!thanks for the post
No doubt!
They are not underrated why do folks use the word underrated on UA-cam so darn much
Kansas City's own Bloodstone giving us that classic. Natural High & Outside Woman.
.I Used to have Natural High On 45rpm in "1972" When it came Out I Was 13years Old I Played the hell Out of that Record I've been Loving their music ever since !!! 🎤🎼🎵🎶🎧 ✊🏽
Yup all us 12 - 13-year-old kids had that 45, sweet soul ballads were very, very big at this time.
I played the hell out of these two songs ❤❤❤ I stayed in Milwaukee I had both of them on 45s this was the only two records I had 😂
I know that feeling. 👍
😃
I am so glad I have rediscovered these guys..
Amazing, playing the bass and able to hit the high notes . concentrating on vocals as well as instrument, that's talent. I really dug Bloodstone.
These characteristics are not found in rap, hip-hop and even some of today's R&B music.
There's nothing else as established as Old school music. It's Friday, let's show out. Let's show out Saturday too.
That was awesome. Hard songs to sing. Great voices and live. Smokin!!
Yes indeed! These kats slay it!
I like how he's singing and playing the guitar at the same time
They're a band. He's lead on some songs, but bass player is primarily a lead singer also. But everyone otherwise is singing and playing an instrument, other than one person.
The VOICES!!! The MUSIC!!! The Melody's are just UNBELIEVABLE!!! OMG
I agree with the comment about music like this isn't made these days. Theses will live on and on....
Bloodstone was the best Soul group ever. I loved the Stylistics, the Spinners and the The Manhattans, but nobody beat Bloodstone.
A ton of bands and groups actually beat bloodstone:)
I agree 100%!!! I just saw the Stylistics, the Spinners and the Manhattans at the LACF. You talk about a great concert....maaaaaannnnn, the songs took me back....Feels so good to be loved, Sadie, Stone in love, etc, etc, etc. The Spinners closed the show and was on stage over an hour. I love old school music!!!
Blue Magic, Delfonics, Stylistics, Tavares, Montclairs, Temprees, The Moments, The Whispers etc. 👍🏽
They were all the best groups to me. Their music would supersede disco music, which I thought was the last best music created, let alone the rap and hip-hop and the modern R&B kinds of music.
@@captainkeyboard1007 I AGREE OLDIES BUT GOODIES THIS YOUNGER GENERATION CANT COME CLOOSE OLD SCHOOL IS AND WAS THE FIRST SCHOOL ROCK ON BABY ALOHA TAKE CARE
Harry Williams is one baddd and funky singer. Natural High is like the perfect love song! Brother McCormick did his thing on this legendary song!! We love us some Bloodstone!!! Salute
This is music with FEELING! Awesome doo wopping galore. Man, I wished I could have seen these guys in concert. Pure gold. Look ma...no autotune!!
Cannot touch this,! This is the era of where artists were real and sounded great live and just like the studio project. Real talent without theftnology.
You wrote it right.
AMEN TO THAT I COULD NOT HAVE SAID IT ANY BETTER RIGHT ON TAKE CARE GOD BLESS YOU
Man, I love me some bloodstone any given day of my life. Currently living on a natural high.
Bell Bottoms, crazy Hats, Side Burns, and the rest of the 70’s vibe!…🔥🔥🔥
The soul in their music and the fact they are playing their own music is just pure genius.!
OMG, they killed it with soul
The brother in the yellow hat sure had a great voice!
@@grego5284 ... Very, VERY, very underrated.
Oldies gold.
@@oldschoolfunkster1 You're right! 😎
YES INDEED!! Very underrated group in my opinion.
One of the greatest groups of all times! They had a drummer by the name of Steve Ferone, I may have the last name spelled wrong, but he played with the Average White Band, I remember seeing them play in Louisville Kentucky in the 80's it was odd to me, with their name and with the Black Drummer, they were AWESOME, no insult, I'm Black also 😂!
the big man .....his voice is amazing ........ the entire group ......... outstanding ........... so many of these guys ......gone .....but their music is FOREVER ! thanks cal vid .........
As of January 2023 he's the only original left Charles McCormick that sang lead on Natural High passed in 2022
That's when real music, came straight from the heart and soul. Beautiful song
All of Bloodstone could sing lead -Willis & Charles Love -an of course -Charles Mc & Harry -who’s the last man standing -🙏🏿🙏🏿-RIP -to the others -great times ✅👌
They came to Detroit a few year’s ago and big man still sounds just like that!
They still do concerts
I wouldn't seeing them perform
This song was sent to me and it glad it was
Really was crazy about it
Damn I'm from the D, mad I missed them!!!

I love those old Motown/Philly/Mississipi/Alabama soul groups. Pure talent.
Kansas City
Central High School KCMO 1964 they sang in 2nd floor bathroom.....Stopped classes!!
These guys are the real deal the way it should be..we need this back great live performance
This group was absolutely fantastic! Believe it or not, their record company demanded that they not play the instruments on their second album. Some things just don't make sense.
That just Sucks big time 😕
Why was that
I Saw Bloodstone On Soul Train Performing This Song And I Went Brought The Album 2 Days Later & I Still Have This Album Today
I hadn’t heard this in awhile and I totally enjoyed it.
Classic old school soul! 😎
How many bands today would sound like this live! I feel blessed to have grown up with this music! The voices just fill you up!
Wonderful Mr Charles McCormick ♥. Miss you in 2022. Rest in Heaven. Your music will go on forever !
🎶⭐🎶
Its now 2024 im 81 and still listening to my 70's soul groups. All of them ...most are gone but videos live on. ❤🎶
Mr Harry Williams is big guy in overalls. He was still performing with the group from a wheelchair when they were on PBS specials. Now he is only one left in Bloodstone. It is sad because their songs were big hits and such a very different sound
🎶🌟🎶
Hello dear,how are you?
STILL SOUNDING OFF IN 2022 !!!! 💯🔥🔥
The ease and sheer excellence of this live performance brought tears to my eyes - wonderful, just wonderful 💜
real music
I think this was at The Whiskey A Go Go in LA in 74, I saw them live there and and I believe they wore the same outfits.. Bloodstone is one of my all time favorite groups, I first saw them perform at The Total Experience Club on Crenshaw Blvd in LA many times during the early 70s.
Listen! NO autotune!!
Live! Real singers!! Beautyful voices singing beautyful lyrics!?
Unlike the crap we hear today,
Thanks to UA-cam we can revisit our youth or young adult music witch was a great time of my life, when this song poped on the charts I was like 15 or 16 met my first love,,, yup, beautyful memories,
Long live Bloodstones!!
Damn they don't do it like this no mow
Outside Woman is still a smokin' joint
Sho nuff crooning! Bloodstone was the truth! Saw them kill it in 1973. I miss y’all voices.
15,000 views a very sad state of affairs, the youth of today have no idea what real music sounds like, 46 years ago and a classic still today
This what I'm talking about old school soul school 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶I love it 👏👏👏👏👏👏 thank for posting
Glad you enjoyed it
@@CalVid as a young child growing up in the 60s and the '70s when AM radio 📻 was at its prime I did not make a enough allowance to go see legendary groups like bloodstone perform so you know I enjoyed it just as much as the people who seen that live in concert
"Outside Woman" is possibly the greatest slow jam of all time!
Wow... As a person that normally listens to metal music and heavy rock... This is absolutely beautiful! The chemistry and the Dynamics from the drummer all the way to the vocalists is amazing!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@CalVid Yes Thank you for the upload!
I sooo love reading comments like this
@@Geordan419 Thank you! 🖤
Today's music is great but after the auto tune, producing magic, computer generated VST's, etc...what is real anymore?
With this live performance it is all raw talent... no back tracking, no effects... just real instruments, plugged into real amps with hot microphones 🙏🤘😎
NOW THIS IS MUSIC AND BEAUTIFUL SINGING . TAKE NOTES PLEASE 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello dear,how are you?
Timeless Jewel
This band oozes soul, incredible vocals and arrangements. Should have been huge!

Hello dear,how are you?
Man this takes me all the way back to the good old days when songs had meaning and the sound was original and not computer inhanced.
OMG I GREW UP ON THIS JAM😍
Take me in your arms fill me with all of your charm!
WAUHHHHH And I don’t even know you!🤗
So good!
This is still a beautiful song. Love it still. That's when brothers could sang back in the day.
I'm stunned! I dated Charles McCormick for a little bit in the late '60s when he and the guys moved to LA from the Midwest. They were called the Sinceres and played at a club called the Peyton Place on 38th and Western in LA. He was a really sweet guy! RIP Charles! 🙏🏽😢❤️
Singing live, along with band. What can you say? The guitar takes me out! Memories 🥰🥰🥰
RIP Charles McCormick. Great singer and writer. One of my favorite group.
🤧 This song brings back ALL sorts of memories of back in the day when I was little...mainly that my Mom used to play 'n sing along to this😊!
For sure they don't make music like this anymore!!! As long as I'm alive I'll never stop listening ❤️
All rappers should be required to look at this. This is real music. This is real talent
Truth be said and I've been telling everyone that if you can't read music or play any instrument you haven't mastered the craft. ATL
That's real God Gifted Talent.
Anytime a group sounds just as good as the record recording...
So true!!
I want to press „like“ multiple times! What a great live performance... maybe the best I‘ve heard in a while
I love those funky outfits from the 1970’s!

OMG! WOW! What a good throwback 🙆🏾♀️. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
They give me goosebumps! Takes me back to the good old days. Everything was so beautiful then.
Also, those musicians looked and behaved much better than today's rap, hip-hop and some R&B music artists. When I listen to [this] music, I become very stimulated.
Listening now, music truly calms the salvage beast

OMG… drifting back to better times …
Those harmonies are on point!!! Well done gentlemen.
That is how I appreciate fine music, but I found out information about listening to the lyrics after I graduated from high school in 1971. Bloodstone sang some remarkable music. It was full of harmony, rhythm, even cadence.
