@FT__Bicycling_____-sc7yv Cool! I don’t know how the flight prices and stuff are where you are based. But one of the reasons we keep coming back to Mallorca is actually because it’s often one of the cheapest places to go to and often also the simplest as the island isn’t too big. So typically it’s no more than 40 minutes to an hour in a cab to get to a nice location. But if you’re considering mainland I can highly recommend Girona (flying to Barcelona) and I also have a couple of mates that love going to Calpe (flying to Alicante) a lot of pro teams also tend to stay there during the winter as the weather tends to be pretty stable ☀️
@@tobiasTbager Yeah I think place like Calpe and others along the southern coast look great. For me the issue is since I'm out in southeast asia, during the winter I go to Chiang Mai and it's great there.. So I don't feel much need so far to go to Spain. But... lately it's been tough riding in the spring in numerous places because it is really smoky from agricultural burning.
That is such a good question! First time we visited Mallorca we stayed in Alcudia which made it super easy to visit the "Lighthouse" (a very famous ride), but also possible to go climb Sa Calobra (the most popular climb on Mallorca). Go watch our first visit here to get a understanding of the rides and also get inspiration for rides ua-cam.com/video/z-dABJA9E2o/v-deo.html The last two times we have been living down south in Peguera which has been really nice! Cool climbs within 10 kilometers and the coast line down south is also VERY nice! (you will see that in the next video). Downside is that Lighthouse is way too far away and Sa Calobra is probably an 8 hour ride. Not really sure where I would recommend to go first. But I hope this gives you some information to act on :) Palma is also very nice with good restaurants but might not be the best place if you only come for cycling.
Yes I was on my crux for this trip. And to be totally honest, I didn’t even have any problems with gearing. I think I can ride about 50 km/h with 90-100 cadence 😁
Would be more helpful to see some maps of where you stayed, the routes you rode and so on. I don't think we need to see you nearly as much, and repeating footage of the same kind of scenery brings very little value.
I totally get what you mean. But the purpose of this video is not to show a good route for people. If you want a more detailed look at the route go check my Strava: www.strava.com/activities/10062419732 The purpose of the video is to try and show/document our ride - the ups and downs, chit chats and so on. The ongoing scenery. But I appreciate you taking the time to write some constructive feedback I really do! 🙌
@@tobiasTbager noted! Strava is nice, ofc, but I can't search your activities, for example. I think unless you're premium you can't save other people's activities either. Which means that when I come across this video in 3 months, I can't see your rides on Strava, even if I follow you, which I don't. I'd say, if you add a voice over section at the end of thirty seconds that shows even Strava screenshots or something like that, that would make that video more useful to more people. Similar screenshots of accommodation too, like if you booked on Airbnb, booking and such. It's the kind of info one needs to think "oh that looks nice, I could book there and ride there too". My bias is that I tend to agree with what I say, but maybe nobody else gives a F after all :)
@pierrex3226 Have you checked the link? It should link you directly to my ride. I like the idea of what you are saying - maybe I will do a different video with the purpose of giving info on traveling or whatever. What info would you like to know in that type of video?
Pretty easy to go and do that research yourself. Plenty of websites and groups on Facebook that will help with that. Absolutely nothing wrong at all with this video!
Love that climb out of Puerto de Soller. Great video.
Me too!
Cheers Alan 🙌
Looks like a beautiful place to ride. SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL
It’s the best ☀️
Have you ever been?
@@tobiasTbager Not yet. I might be more likely to go to mainland Spain instead (maybe cheaper? Simpler?)

camera work is out of this world. congrats to you and best of luck to the growing channel!
Thanks a lot - really appreciate you taking the time to write this comment!
Interesting to have a look at the roadsurface on the island just before we leave for Mallorca.
Your discs and brakepads could use some degreasing imo.
Cool! Is it your first time on Mallorca?
And yeah I know. I think it’s due to sweat dripping down on the brakes when climbing 😅
Indeed, I'm looking forward to tackle those climbs!
The first I always special!
Great video, Love the colour grading. I'm curious as to camera and mount you are using for the decent, Gopro and mouth mount??
Thanks a lot!
For this video I used my iPhone and Go Pro with mouth mount for the decents and talking clips :)
Where would you recommend staying for a week on mallorca to be able to travel all the popular routes?
That is such a good question!

Made me reminisce about my visit, quality footage
I’m so glad to hear that! I can only dream about my videos having that effect - I appreciate it very much!
Where did you stay?
Was this on your Crux? Wondering about gearing.
Yes I was on my crux for this trip. And to be totally honest, I didn’t even have any problems with gearing.

Did you bring your own bike?
Yes, always
What bike are you riding that friend said he preferred?
It’s the Specialized Crux
what is it camera?
For this video I used my iPhone and a Go Pro

Why most people use the same music for these ""me"" videos?
I would think that it is because we are limited to the same non-copyrighted songs :/
