Down with the mice! I used to have cats. They were indoor/outdoor cats and were very good hunters. They got lots of mice and rabbits. We fed them well, but they still caught and ate the rabbits and mice. They would bring the rabbits onto the deck. They would eat one half, leave it, and then eat the other half later. It was wild. One even brought a small mouse into the house. I let the cat in through a second floor window, not noticing the mouse in its mouth. The cat then went to the door, turned around, dropped the mouse and sat there looking at me very proud of what it had done.
The thing is that these cats were very active. They climbed on our house and neighbor's houses. These are all two story houses with high peaked roofs. When we would take them to the vet, the vet would only say, they are very lean.
This is what you need. Hunter cats.

The longer you wait to buy wood, the more expensive it will get (supply and demand)
I notice you have wooden pallets scattered about, so you could buy weather-proof tarpaulin sheet and construct a small shelter from the pallets, cover the pallet-shelter with the plastic/waxed tarpaulin sheeting, secured usually with a staple-gun, and store lesser amount of the wood inside the shed/home. You will obviously have to bring indoors wood ahead of the time you wish to use it, to ensure it is fully dry, but the vast majority could stay outdoors in a corner of your garden this way

      @@ThinkUkraine you are welcome :D
My family did the same to store hay for the horses every winter when i was a teenager, albeit we also used corrugated iron roofing and it was a walk-in 6ft tall horse shelter sized u-shape version and thus larger sized than i imagine you will need.
It was also in an exposed field with only a tall hedge at the back of it and we thus had to take wind direction into account regards construction and placement as the front side was totally open, no door. We also used to cover the hay with more tarpaulin, tied down with string and weighted down with whatever was about
The only issue we had was one year (out of the 6) when the tail-end of a hurricane came through and tipped it over onto it's back and into the hedge! that was fun and games! hehe

Glad to see you online again Vita! 😀 And again - thanks for a both honest and humorous insight into your activities in the village! First of all - Glory to those fallen heroes! It´s so sad to hear and see what thisterrible war has brought to a small village like that! 😢 However i´m glad that you enjoy digging... some 20 years ago digging, planting and enjoying the harvest wether it was flowers, roots or vegetables was the thing that made me accelerate my comeback from a severe burnout. It really helps - when digging, planting or "harvesting" your mind is "there" - not in the stress... because it´s joyful! Simple as that! 😉 And a quick tip about rasberries and strawberries: Raspberries - cut down the ones that gave berries this year... the will give very little next year and since they share the roots wit this years shoots ( the branches that didn´t give berries) the give the energy to next years harvest. Strawberries - No nutrition before harvest... that will only produce leaves... give them nutrition ( fertilizer, manure or( if you insists) fish after the berries are there... About the storing of firewood - the main thing is that it has to be stored dry - wich means airy without water hitting it so since the roof looke fairly tight jus make sure its stacked "airy" with good ventilation... then it will keep dry for the winter. I wish the best for you and your closest! 🤗🤗🤗

To store your wood, you don’t have to place it in a shed. Simply place the stacked cords of wood on top of a pallet which you have leaning against your wall. Cover the wood top with a canvas plastic tarp. Place rocks on top of the tarp to keep the wind from blowing the tarp off the wood. Bring in enough wood not just to burn for heat but also place wood near the stove to dry out if need be. I live in the near north of canada where burning wood in our fire places or wood stoves are a necessity and treat

      @pidgeonator-2-peckment-day I am Sorry but U mistook What I Say ?
I grew up on a farm with Animals all around me . Rared Bred & trained Australian 1/4 Horse ,Draught Horses Clydesdale & Suffock Punch & never had problems with any of them ! In fact most behave better then Human beings !
But always had Strong men around to guide & influence me,With never Meaness or ill will towards Animals ? Blue Healer Dogs were hardest to train as they were the most headstrong & aggressive to Even Full Grown Bulls as they were fearless,& Seldom take a backward step from Anything ?
I once Seen a Blue Healer in the River
With a Huge Bull ,by the Nose trying to drown it ? I got off my horse & got that dog off the Bull when inn the River ,& Saved the Bull !
My Grandfather was the most Amazing man ,I have ever Seen amongst Animals ,Horses ,Cows ,Bulls ,Pigs & Dogs ! Calm but decisive in all Situations ,& never ever Cruel ?
We never had Sheep So Cannot give Comments & Experience in this area ?
One Cannot be niave when around Cattle ,Horses(etc) yr defence in Protection ,When Charged or bolted toward you is Critical ? Same as being attacked by a Vicious Dog ! One must always be aware What Can happen at any time ?

The memorial bittersweet, but nicely done. You will be victorious in your battle with the four legged enemy critters! Your upgraded yard and garden looks great! 😊 1600 pound cows are certainly a reason to be cautious. And---- truly very tasty 😋😂 my mum's are in bloom, I'm confident yours will be most beautiful. Thank you for another great video. ❤😊🌻

I don`t know what to say to you Vita, the first part of your video made me cry (old 77-year man) I have watched many of your videos, and always at the finished feel very frustrated as I want to help, however, sadly, my finances are stretched, this coming winter will be my fourth without heating, but you must thing ahead! With the beetroot you can make Borscht, with the tomatoes you should have picked them for use during the winter (not “telling” you what to do) as the tops of the beetroot and other plant cuttings, you should make a compost. You can make this with the wood pallets. I have added a video below. Much better than dead fish which attract all the wild animals in your area, together with the Russian mice. I can wish you best wishes to you and your children and your work friends, however, such may seem like empty actions, sadly, I can`t offer more, in my dreams I would like to beside Ukrainians making drones, which is something I could easily do.

Your "fear" of the bull reminds me of an incident I had several years ago while deer hunting. My uncle told me to go through this fenced field where he had two bulls (larger than the ones in your village). Now, I was armed with a shotgun with a rifled barrel and shooting very powerful ammunition. I was still afraid. Of course, I had on a hunter orange vest (required for safety) and I wondered if it would have an effect similar to a red cape. Well, I did make it through, but those bulls were staring me down the whole time.

You need to organise the shed (out building where the tools are stored)
You also need to discover if the animal is a cow or a bull...it looks very thin, maybe just hungry?...........Milk!!

Cattle are very docile animals and are afraid of people, ask me I have 30 heffers Simbras, and a limousine bull, I agree get a cat they kill the mice and bring them back to you once they have done the deed. Your carrots look better than mine. The cow is just looking for food, maybe your perimeter fence is broken so that needs to be fixed, the rubbish is collected in discarded feed bags good idea. Its so sad that these 5 young guys were killed because of Putins useless war, i wish it would come to an end, at least in the country side you can almost forget that there is a war going on. Keep farming it keeps your mind distracted from what going on in the big towns, take care, look after yourself and be safe, your Farmer friend in South Africa🇺🇦🙏😊🇿🇦

VITA well that was a nice video of yours I could see that your pro-russian mice are added again but you got the glue pads good. The trick is you need to get on your knees and look around for any holes about the size of a pencil and if you find any you want to get steel wool and shove it in there and pack it really tight so the mice can't get in. But you want to keep those glue pads around and you'll catch all of them that's a good thing about them they work real good. Now your yard you never said that you had such a big patch of land next year for planning you need to get your girlfriends and their friends out to help you and you needed either bye or pay somebody with a rototiller I need a rototiller all your land before you plant anything and the way it looks you need to do it probably twice to three times and bring in manure and rototiller manure into everything so things will grow quicker that's what I would do by the way putting your raspberries near the wall beautiful cuz they need a wall to climb up. if you rotor till all your land before you plant next year it'll make better production and then I would plant on the outside of everything garlic on the outside of all your planning to that will keep most of the bugs out that and different herbs and hot peppers it keeps bugs from coming in to the most valuable plants but you should plant a massive potatoes and other things that are easy and then your Beats and tomatoes and carrots because once you rototill you don't mean a whole difference and adding manure into it will supercharge the soil. So I like the Beats he pulled out they look really nice don't make some nice Borsche. Keep smiling have a good one. Cool hand San Pedro California USA

You can make a better mouse trap by filling a bucket with water half way and floating sunflower seeds on the surface. You put a small board leaning on the side for the mice to climb, they will drown very quickly. You need to keep emptying the bucket otherwise they start to stink. but a lot more effective than sticky tape boards and more economical. Just trying to help.

Vita to stop the mouse invasion you must seal up all the places on the outside (exterior) of your home, some of your previous videos showed some cracked mortar and stucco they can get in through, fix those areas with mortar mix and chicken wire. Never leave your doors open because they can sneak in while you are only gone for a moment, you can stuff steel wool into cracks as well but patch the holes on the outside. Hope this can help, if I were there I’d have your home mouse proof in one day. I hope the best for you, you seem sad lately. Someday your life will be normal again and I hope soon. 🙏🏼 🇺🇦

Why not compost the fish in a discrete area and then later distribute it throughout your garden?
Throw in some of the vegetation scraps too.
Works like a miricle or charm.
Maybe even enhance it with lime...
    Then accelerated growth.
Or just mince it up in a blender, while the fish is a little more fresh.
Anyway, better to attract hedgehogs than bears.
DJ without vodka 🙁, time to party!!!🎉
Tomatoes need to be a little bit raised (slightly elevated) as a climber.
I can work as $8 an hour. 👋

Hello Vita ⭐️ For your wood : clear the corner you mentioned in video, and chop up the wardrobe / cupboard ? As it is already dry wood as are the doors ( against the wall in video) which could be chopped up also or put over the rafter wood in the attic ( if it can be done to block out some of the weather. -*SAFELY*) BUT - what is that light coloured large square next to the wardrobe/ cupboard ? Is it perspex? - if so that would be lighter to lift into attic and put on rafters.... Hope that helps.Thoughts for you. Take care 🫂🤗❤ Slava Ukraini 🇬🇧 ✌️ 🇺🇦

Hello, Vita! Love to see you digging around your garden! 😊 I think your shed will hold wood & keep it dry just fine if you remove the junk & patch up that big window at the top. Just cover it with a tarp and some bungee cord with landscaping staples to make sure it stays dry. Worry about patching the walls up next spring. ❤
