What is really clear from watching this chat is that Uber, BYD and Octopus are "all in" on the energy transition, and it's not surprising that partnerships are forming between them because that's what happens when the vision is bigger than the fear of competition or of a market change. It's a stark contrast to Tesla in my view where, yes they are building cars at a low cost, but there is risky ivory tower thinking going on when they do things like reject V2G (or L or H) for vehicles like the Model Y or the new Model 3. The customers have been asking and asking, and Tesla have the capacity to add it to the cars and integrate the cars into the grid.
Astounding. This is a highly informative, bang up to date conference. Positive, can do message. Thanks to Octopus and brilliant guests.
