Well, you sold me on the game, good job.
So in the future mankind has mastered FTL travel, yet has to use a command prompt... honestly, sounds like something out of Star Wars, or maybe the Fallout series (they have power armor, robots, energy weapons, etc. but terminals still use monochrome displays and typed commands).
fallout is an AU where the transistor was never invented.
Command prompts aren't as bad as you think - they're incredibly simple to use and lightweight. I prefer using the terminal on a server compared with using a remote desktop/GUI
Glitch_FACE the transistor was invented. Just about 100 years later.
with ftl you arent actually driving the ship so actually a terminal is an efficient way of piloting it
Neat game. Looking at the ways the modules work, you may want to put the motion sensor on your generator drone. It seems you mostly park and leave your generator alone, and the motion sensor must be still (natch) to operate. I don't know if running the sensor will make the generator lose its connection, but if not, one drone could give you power and motion data constantly for one charge of each(?). You may also want to move the stationary utility mods (motion, generator) to the drone with the least HP and make it your support drone, and the incapacitating and immediate effect mods (gather, trap, stun, pry) to the drone with the most HP and use it as your exploratory drone. I know you've probably already done about 5 episodes, and these drones might already be toast, but .. I like to optimize.
Those drone sound effects are so cute, especially the gathering noise.

"Era of command prompt" I still use cmd a shitton. Sometimes to impress someone (tree c:// anyone?), sometimes legit (ipconfig and the like)
I love how on the weekend review you said. Yeah, the channel is a bit survival heavy at the moment. Then two days later another survival game. But its ok with me. Love these kind of games.

Might i stupidly assume that your ship is the cyan one, and that the name of it corresponds to the only other cyan artifact on the screen positioned in the upper right corner under the mysterious label that says "Current Ship"?

I was thinking this game was inspired by the ending of the first novel in _Ender's Game_, so finding a drone named Orson isn't a surprise.

oh no that's not it. What I'm saying is that I like to watch SC playing that game, it's just not the kind of game I'd ever play cause I hate the controls but other since I am not the one playing, I get the experience the game has to offer without ripping my hairs off. SC is very entertaining, no matter the game he plays. :P

***** You might also like Quadrilateral Cowboy. It is supposed to get published soon. Or was already and I have managed to miss it completely.
Here's a question, can you abbreviate commands? For example nav 1 2 3 r1 for navigate 1 2 and 3 to r1, or gath for gather, gat for gatling, and so on. I love coding but I never like to use the full command if I don't have to. Also, can you do functions and variables? Basically automate the drones yourself. For example, create a function called "clear", this function would send in the combat drone first and after a programmed time, say 60 seconds, it would send in the gatherer and tow'er to gather all the loot and drones with only one command. I'm really big on organizing and shortening my code for max efficiency.
If that's possible that would be awesome, people who don't know coding can use the knowledge they gain from the tutorial and playing the game to entertain themselves, while coders could have some fun figuring the best way to automate their little buddies with minimal damage and loss and brush up on their coding at the same time.

This game sounds a bit like Suspended... a really old MS DOS text game where you are sealed in a room and you control 5 robots each controlling one sense(hearing, sight, touch, taste, smell) and you had to find a way out.
SPLATTERCAT please please please do a full playthrough of this and not cut it off early, like deadnauts. Which was one of my favorite games youve played.

My only concern is in-game terminals generally aren't as good as actual real world command line environments. Autocomplete, history commands, piping, etc. I mean I wish I could do this svn rm $( svn st | grep "\!" | awk '{ print $2 }' ), then export it or !1651 to grab it from history.

Nifty stuff so far, it looks like a pretty unique game. Im interested in see how it turns out b/c I'd have a terrible time attempting a game like this.

Beldarak Yup, we added an option where you can turn it down or even off. The game is coming to Early Access Thursday so we've still got a ways to go, but we just added that :)

Is the screen shimmer/fliker part of the game or was youtube doing its thing and messing with compression? That's about the only thing I don't like just cause it does something to my eyes if its that bad in the game.
If you type end, all the drones return to the ship. If you type exit, the ship leaves.

True but his upload patterns suggest that he is recording each game after another and uploading them right after each one.
He's ok. But if he wasn't recording he would get more done. But messing around with everything makes the process slower but a lot more enjoyable.

Some qualities process faster. Some videos process faster. An hour or two is just a safe guess, often it doesn't take as long as that.
rookieroo24 What's crazy is taht this one started processing at 3AM and apparently didn't finish til after 8AM. That's never happened before...
