Yes. I did this on my '04 and worked like a charm. Couldn't have done it without ya. And thank you. It should have taken about an hour but it really took about two and a half.
My son had a 86 Honda I had to put two timing belts an alternator clutch and fuel pump on it was never so glad to see a car go, good video on this thumbs up 👍
This is a great video. I replaced mine but I also needed to replace the fuel adapter assembly. While trying to fit the hose on I detached it from wherever else it connects to and cannot find it. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Very detailed and to the point. I was thinking about taking it to the mechanic as it seemed like a tideous process but now I think I may be able to do it myself thanks to your wonderful video. Subscribed already!
Any tips/insight on working on this while not being able to access the trunk? My cable also has an issue, preventing me from being able to open the trunk. Bought it used (rear ended) and cannot open with the manual lock either. 09 (2 door) civic
Has anyone had a hard time taking the piece from the gas door out? I tried rotating clockwise and the thing won't move. Could that be a sign of another problem?
Yes sir I figured it out.. if you have the rest of the cable free except for the trunk latch piece. What you want to do it gently pry on the plastic holding the latch from the gas door hole. You will then be able to get a better look. Mine was very dirty but there was a plastic tab not lifting up to free the latch that I gently lifted up and free’d.
Nice video. Bought my cable planning on replacing it myself after someone was going to charge $50.00 an hour. Thanks
Nice video. Very informative and helpful. Thank you.

Nice job on the video. It’s always good to learn something different even if it’s not a car you typically work on.

Well, do the seats fold down? That’s one way. If it’s rear ended and the lid is bad, just cut into it.
were you able to get the key fob programmed for this car?
Haven’t tried yet.
Will this be the same process for an 09 civic sedan?
Should be.
easyest cars to work on Honda Civics .. Love them,, but you already knew ..lol
How did you get the trunk open ?
With the key.
Whats that cable called?
I posted a link in the description.
No, no it does not just turn counterclockwise. It doesn’t turn at all. The little pos won’t budge.

@@mrmeatstallion8902 Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a try over the weekend
Yes, these things never seem to work out so simply and conveniently for me like they do in the videos. Not twisting at all.
