  • Undervolting really seems to be the best option in terms of GPU optimization for the RTX 4000 series. Be it a 4090, 4080, 4070 Ti or even a 4060 Ti, I’d still recommend doing it. If you do it properly, you’re gonna lose virtually 0 performance or even get an increase, while dramatically reducing heat and power consumption.
Today we are featuring the newly release RTX 4070 Super 12GB in the MSI Ventus 2X Model, but the tutorial will work for any RTX 4070 Super, no matter the brand and for the RTX 4070 Ti Super as well!

Don't do like this!!!! May be it is just my situation, but if u flat your curve with ctrl+shift msi can sometimes change your curve automatically (you can have some curve "stairs" at the end). So to be sure just drop your marked zone down and then apply it to let msi afterburner flat it by yourself. I have rtx 4070 super gaming oc gigabyte

I want to thank you; your advice helps me save 60W of electricity. At first, I considered buying an AMD GPU because it’s slightly cheaper and 10-15% more powerful, but it uses 100W more power. Even with undervolting, it matches the 4070's stock power usage. Choosing NVIDIA was an easy decision for me.

How come the guide differs from older 3000-series to 4000-series? Like you actually lower the core clock for the voltage before the 900mV on older cars, then spike it up to the overclock at 900mV, while you increase the entire curve up to the OC on newer? Just better new technique?

Bruh, I VERY rarely leave a comment on youtube but this was so simple to follow & worked perfectly for my ASUS 4070 Super Dual OC GPU. I'm using your preset 2 and it's only about 50hz lower than my GPU was boosting to on stock settings while running 8-15c cooler & my power usage under load went from like 212w to roughly 160w... almost a 25% decrease in power usage!! Even my Hotspot temp dropped a decent amount :) Thanks a bunch for this, dunno if you'll see this since 4 month old video but wanted to let you know its still helping peeps! Cheers, liked n sub'd
Edit - Forgot to mention it brought my 3DMARK TimeSpy score up 19803 from 19339 & my Steel Nomad score up to 4969 from 4608

@@Prorayque it’s such a garbage cooler, i thought it was the same like the regular dual but it’s so much worse. I honestly might try and complain to Asus and try and fight for a replacement regular duo version because there is no mention anywhere that the coolers are this different. Very good point! RTX 4000 behaves differently when it comes to effective clock. The method used on RTX 3000 I deem a bit superior actually, because you have absolute stability on the lower end of the curve. But it would lose you clock on RTX 4000, so we can’t do it. But in the end, they’re basically the same really :)
