I would like to ask about the protection from dust or not clear air to avoid engine problem pistons etc...is this safe?must clean?i think it’s a dry filter not an oil one
Hello, We would advise to always keep an eye on your filter and when you see it becoming dirty or dusty you can wash it in warm soapy water and leave it to dry in the sun. No oiling needed as these are indeed dry filters.
The main difference between these two air filters is the filtration elements, Ramair filters have a foam element and the PRORAM filters have a synthetic nanofibre filter element. The Ramair foam filter is made using a 15mm thick, twin layer foam, made specially for our air filters, this foam can be washed and cleaned and for most road applications where large amounts of dirt, dust or sand are not often encountered, they do not need to be oiled. Adding oil to these filters can add an extra layer of protection against the very fine particles of dirt, but this also increases restriction in the air filter. The PRORAM synthetic nanofibre filter was developed using our extensive knowledge and background in the latest polymer technologies to produce these filters, they offer a high level of air flow and in turn, performance to your vehicle. These filters much like the Ramair foam filters do not need to be oiled, however, this can be added at the user’s preference. We have found that the PRORAM filters offer a higher level of air flow against the Ramair foam filter, however because of the flat, pleated nature of the PRORAM filter media it does drop air flow when the dust and dirt is building on the filter element. The Ramair foam air filters are more beneficial in this aspect thanks to the reticulated foam we use, they can hold more dirt without impacting the airflow this means longer running periods and less maintenance.
Ive just fitted this kit to my audi a3 (same engine) and i have no difference in sound at all what could be the problem? Do i need to buy an intake pipe too?

He stated that his car is already modified with an exhaust and a blowoff valve to go along with the intake. An intake will not increase sound
@thomasmansfield2937 oh I missed the part where he said there was a blow off fitted.
