I've been toying with the idea of a hard dodger for my Catalina 25. And I gotta tell you. This is the best example I've found for smaller boats. Using it as a headroom extender for the companionway is genius and I don't have to ruin my resale value!
Great job you two! I cant say im really into the project videos hehehe, you know over fun fun fun, adventure, sailing content, but i enjoyed tgis one all the way through. God bless
I saw a video where they're building a complete structure out of veneer and then sticking fibreglass over it. I'm having trouble getting my hands on it because I don't know which method is the right one. If I could, I'd add a rainwater collection system on the roof. This is a great piece of work anyway.
Yeah, it wasn’t a weekend job, but I think if I had to do it all over, I would- because it has been such a great addition to an already great boat for our family.

Just the video I was hoping to see. Thanks!
Well done! I've been working with fiberglass and sailboats for a while now. But I still learned a few tricks watching you work.
What a job! Turned out great!
Thanks!
Every small sailboat needs this. Mine does. Great job, great vid. Thanks for the info! New subby here from Galveston Bay, Texas. 👍🏼#31
Thanks for the sub! I'd do it again if I had to - It was a lot of work, but has improved the cruising experience for the whole family in so many ways.

Can you please tell us the name of the honeycomb core you used? And the company you purchased it from in Florida?
Beautiful job, would you choose all that fibreglass work again or build it out of plywood?
That was a project! Considering your time, that is one expensive dodger!

Good 👍 job
Any chance you still have your layout dimensions? I have a hunter 23’ I think this would be great on.
where did you order the board from? how much was it?
Everyone names their boat Orion or Solstice. Theres like 5 of each at just my marina alone.
