I dont know why people say it was banned, since it was not,and i think the mazda shoulnt have won the 24h le mans, but they made an incredible job on that last stint that year
The FIA changed the rules and banned its engine after the year it raced. Also, it won not by pure speed but, by reliability. They estimated it could push 900hp at 10k rpm but limited it to 700 at 9k for it to be more reliable. At the end of the race, the engine was inspected and said it could go for another 24 hours race.
@@MoaiGaming394 i mean yeah the engine was awesome but it wasnt banned it just couldnt addapt to the new rule set thats why porsche also got screwed and others manufacturers that didnt use v engines
@@Gix_rop The Mazda 787B was so good that they deliberately changed the rules to kill only Mazda. The Europeans always do this when they fall behind the Japanese manufacturer. They come along and say it's an infringement and change the rules to win. That is democracy, they say. But I say: They are cheaters.
The GOAT of race cars imho.
fun fact, the Mazda 787B was so loud, that spectators had to be warned to cover their ears when the vehicle was flying by
Such glorious sounds this engine produces… I’m struggling at the moment to come up with something even close.
The nicest song on earth. Now we have to listen to batteries.

Sabber, Sabber endgeil!!
動く世界遺産の第一号に、推薦します。音の世界遺産第一号も、MAZDA787Bで決まりですね!
