It’s really stupid but it’s because the home course (Tsuchihasaka) has a lot of low speed yet very long hairpins and it was just to allow for a more aggressive four wheel drift in these corners It’s complete bs in my opinion but that’s what the canonical reason for it was from what I remember.
@@Ezmeon idk about the aggressive drift part, but i know that it doesnt need downforce cuz it is awd and the course mostly consists of low speed corners, and the straights well less drag

They make the outcomes too apprent in this stage. The second the race started when the I first watched this stage I already knew the "oil spill" Was going to fight back. And Takumi would out brake the evo driver.

ブレーキングが手前とか甘いとは言われてますが、ランエボ自体突っ込み気味に進入するより少し早めのブレーキングから小さく回りつつ太いトルクで一気に立ち上がってタイム出すタイプの車なんですよね。
無理に突っ込んでから一気に姿勢変えようとしたら頭の重さとAYCとかサチってどアンダーになる気がします……
