Hey Joel, Great to hear from you again! So good to hear you're business is going so well and the truck repairs resolved the issues you were having. Shout out to BJ, as the old saying goes, "A friend in need, is a friend indeed".
Thanx for the video, It's a releaf to see you posting again. I've lost alot of my favorite channels this year due to youtube creation burnout. I know it's hard work, I used to do it myself and what a colossal P I T A it was to run a camera and do something else at the same time. Then there's the dreaded editing scene. There goes 20 hours !! Keep up the good work Joel.
@loweredexpectations4927 you guys were married? If it makes you feel any better (likely not because you are a good person!) I'm going through a divorse of my own and let's just say it's no where smooth in the slightest compared to yours... you came up in a conversation about jetskis with some friends today! Glad you are busy and bringing in some coin. Keep on trucking brother!
@@AtimatikArmy We were not married. Common law. It makes no difference, legally here. It sucks that you are going through something similar (worse). Megan and I still get along. I've gone to visit her and Quasar a few times now and we still chat. It is, of course, still rough, but probably the best that it could possibly be. That's amusing that I would come up in conversation so far away and with people I don't know, haha. Take care of yourself and good luck with everything.
@loweredexpectations4927 I can say that I'm very tied into the Jet Ski community her in Nor Cal. I've been doing thr race series up here as well and we have our own ride group that has been gaining popularity. I've tried to mention to you about it before but for some reason youtube shadow bans the post letting me think it posted but it can only be seen by me... not sure why they dud that to me but they did... the point in all this is that you have come up in conversations a few times and you are well respected for what it's worth. I love how you follow your own path and not necessarily what is trending in the jetski community and I (as well as others) really appreciate your technical knowledge and approach to how you do things. You are EXTREMELY on point.
Glad to see you're keeping busy you seam to be way better in your self check out your face at 17:18 😊. As for your truck you should definitely give it the TLC it's earned. One thing I'd change is that fan for a electric setup it's silly having a fan going constantly especially in winter.
Nice to see you're doing ok. Never give up ! :) Also, it's not a bad idea to replace customers' lawnmowers with revised used ones... it's the ideal way to do customer binding and they'll much more likely call on you for future mower maintenance/repair :) Good job on the car too... if you replace a brake on the car, it's always a good idea to do the opposite one too... brakes are kinda essential for survival after all ;)
Did you leave any parts at the parts store for anyone else 🤣? They're probably getting a sales bonus this week. The first part I ever changed on any vehicle was a water pump on my '78 Monte Carlo back in the 1980's. I had no clue what I was doing but I also knew that I wasn't gonna have wheels to get around so I'd better figure it out.
Haha... My poor old truck needed those parts, and a whole lot more. I thought I had changed this pump before, but it turns out that I had just changed the gaskets about 12 years ago.
Glad you're keeping busy. My car needs a new water pump, unfortunately it's a PT cruiser, and the engine has to be dropped and the timing belt removed. I can't do it, and no one else wants to touch it for any mount of money, so my main transportation is an electric scooter. I have an electric lawnmower. My neighbor says he'd get one but he's worried about running over the cord, but I've had it for 12 years and never done that. So every Saturday morning I have to listen to that lovely racket. I shut mine off in between rows, so when I mow, it's just a few "vroom's".
I follow a few automotive channels, Rainman Ray's repairs comes to mind, and he had a few PT cruisers flow through his shop. They are a beast to work on. good luck with it. maybe i'm wierd, but I love the sound of neighbors cutting grass. just sounds like summer.
Maybe it's enough work space, if you just remove the drive side's motor mount and maybe the middle mount, too - and instead of lowering the engine try to hoist it to various heights, depending on the bolt or part, you're working on. Maybe try a combination of lowering and raising Very often that gives you just enough clearance to work with - maybe with a little wedging force added - it would be the way, european cars usually got designed in this time period- and the PT-Cruiser has an European Diesel in it at least. Haven't worked on that body yet, though. I'd check that out, may work in your garage and you'd save a ton of money and maybe get the better work too.
@@werner.x I'm thinking of finding an electric pump and just bypassing the mechanical pump. Man, I wish I still had my 67 Plymouth Belvedere, or my 69 Toyota _Corona._ I _knew_ I'd regret getting rid of them, I just wanted a new car so bad.
I was just thinking about you recently, it's good to see your face. Looks like things are going pretty well and you're staying quite busy. I hope we get to see you this summer!
WOW that water pump bearing is practically brand new. Hey Martin... Just seeing your comment now. Immediately before starting my business, I worked for a scale calibration company, for a few years. Before that, though, I worked at Sears for 5.5 years as a small engine tech, and before that on Yamaha and Polaris for 5 years. I've had a variety of other jobs as well.
HAHA... You'd think, with all the water falling out of the sky, it wouldn't be a problem.... but I guess when your water mains don't hold water, that's a problem.
Better rely on real customers money than on that weird youtube revenue - i'd say. At least as long as you have debts to pay off. UA-cam never pays minimum wages - if anything at all.
Sorry I missed your comment. I hope you are doing well... I have been thinking of you as I haven't hear from you lately. What you say is true. I need to hustle for much of the year to make sure I can feed myself and have a place to live. UA-cam can't be depended on.

Sorry for the delayed response. I have been busy. Yes, YT is a PITA ... I'm glad some people understand, haha.
At my age, I have a lot in common with your truck. Rattling, exhaust leak, and a leaky rearend. 🤙
LOL... You're going to have to head into a repair shop.
Thanks for the update. I hope you are getting along will with your divorce and new home.
Thanks ! Things are going pretty well.

This fan has a thermal clutch, won't draw much air when cold.
