Even if they do end up somehow going with that route of bringing people back from dead, I have very little confidence in the current writing team to juggle with that many characters. Said writers already showed how inept they were with BL3, by either sending characters elsewhere off screen or straight up killing them off on screen. And also, Watcher: "There's a great war coming, you need all the help." Writers: "Let's have them go separate ways!"
I'm sure a bunch of people have brought it up, but in kriegs mind you can talk to Maya afterwards and she brings up the 6 sirens but says they aren't always the same and something different is coming. I can't wait to see were the story goes.
I really hope to see all the previous vault hunters return, the ones that are still alive mind you, and band together for whatever the next challenge for Pandora is. Give them all updated and reworked skill trees to make each vault hunter distinct. I still want new vault hunters but they aren't my main concern. I would love to see everyone who died back. There's no real "Catch a Ride" without Scooter, and I would love to see Nisha's ass in this new engine. Plus, we could also undo the oopsie of Maya's death in BL3 in a swift, kind of "Hey, I'm sorry!" way.
If we still get it since Lilith rewrote how the future would turn out by phasewalking Elpis, most likely to the 7th siren or the one that got Tyreen/Troy's phaseleech, plus who got Angels powers cause Tannis got Steele's, hence her wardrobe change and getting closer to lillith

All very valid points and I do hope that especially the war comes into play in 4. But there is one more thing. Nyriad mentioned a 7th Siren. That MUST be a big plot point of Borderlands 4
@BinaryDoesNotExist Nyriad was the leech Siren THOUSANDS of years ago. She imprisoned herself in the vault that Typhon and his wife found and freed her powers. Thats why when Tyreen and Troy were born they became the new leech Siren
A Borderlands game where you can play as all the previous vault hunters would be insane. The question is how the story would be, considering that the idea of being playable means they can't be an npc? Maybe different story paths for certain parts (Which can be played with any vault hunter in TVHM)? There's also all the dead vault hunters.
Absolutely only an complete maniac without a brain would leave the control over the crimson raiders in the hands a child that has shown no leadership qualifications or experience in leading people .
My wishlist for Borderlands 4: The War the Watcher warned us about NEEDS TO HAPPEN!! Ava working with the remaining Bl2 vault hunters to honor Maya's memory and probably going out like a hero. Rhys and Atlas teaming up with the crimson raiders with those ships seen in New Tales from the Borderlands. The only New Tales characters that should be seen are Lou13 and Fran. (Octavio needs to die) No time travel at all Finding Lilith. Space combat Eridian antagonist and last but not least MORE GUNS!!
@@michaelknox3715 once again, agreed for everyone but Fran To me she was the most annoying, but also she has no place in a war, she survive as long as she did “in most playthroughs” cause the tediore soldiers were idiots.
The War wasnt completely dropped. Only very subtly hidden. The hidden Arenas in 3 that are overseen by a Guardian has him talking about how the VHs are taking over their job and the Guardians are up to something.
One thing that confused me about the vault monster is that if they were created due to the vault itself why the inconsistent creature that were formed. One thing i have notice though was the fact they were tied to what was in the vault itself. An example would be the ravenger a destructive creature that was houses in the same vault as the eridian resonater which was used to destroy the eridian chunk. Or the grave ward that once killed became the monster essentially turning into artifact to power the creature just like how we find the ability to equip artifact in the vault. One other thing is the fact monster that look like they were created such as the warrior or the sentinal helds stuff that give knowledge like the ability to see the future or the warrior unlocking the ability to see vault on planet. This may also help understand what was found in the traveler vault.
borderlands 4 needs to be the avengers of the fracnchise, combining every protagonists and antagonists, and mostly include the lore of B3 dlc's, return of Rosa and Jakobs secret, return of Timothy, and a real inclusion of Sal and Axton
@@rockzyk1291 it s litteraly the bounty of blood climax, there is a long dialog in an slow elevator and we discover when we get down that the company of gehenna is Jakobs, and it s surprising because we thought jakobs were nice rednecks with a CEO that married hammerlock
With as awesome as it could be to bring back old characters, its best to keep them dead. Cause if you bring everyone back, you remove all stakes from the story. The story still needs to move forward and hopefully answer questions and possibly get the Great War started.
They can being bring back just to gameplay, as seen our vault hunter has no interaction with the story since BL3, but for lore, at least ghosts for a few moments idk
Not necessarily. If they did a full revive. Maybe it has consequences were it can only happen once or something. It is Gearboxes universe. They can set the rules on what reviving people does in terms of consequences or if it will be able to revive a second time.
One of my all time dreams for this series, and something that only increases with each release, is the possibility of playing as any of the vault hunters from any game, being cannon or not, I'd just love to see that, improved skills and balance. So the idea of bringing everyone back for something as dangerous as the destroyer actually coming out of Pandora would be awesome, I mean, they already spilled the beans with such power existing in the universe with new tales, may as well go all the way.
It makes sense that Borderlands 3 wasn't when the war happened. To me, "you're going to need all the Vault hunters you can get" sounds very much like "go out to other planets and find people to recruit", which is what happened in Borderlands 3 (assuming "Vault Hunters" here would be more akin to "adventurers" or "mercenaries" rather than the typical Vault Hunters that do the Vault Hunting thing).
I think a cool theory is this Gem revives the leaders of different factions who have died. Zarpadon from the pre sequel, Handsome Jack, the calipso twins, katagawa. We could get this massive war with those 4 revived that's 4 huge factions who could oppose the vault hunters and would have beef with them. Cause then you'd have Bandits, Hyperion, Dahl and Malawan teaming up against the vault hunters.
Imagine Jack comes back with his daughter angel and wife she was never shown maybe for this reason like a plot twist where he gets what he wanted his wife and daughter back so he tries to repay Us by being a hero he once was
I was thinking they would expand outside of Pandora and it's galaxy and actually go to the eridians galaxy, we had the watcher warn us in presequel, also while we are transcending into the unknown territory of the eridian planets, we also search for Lilith and her whereabouts. She might of gotten teleported to the eridan galaxy or got stuck in one of the vaults. The Eridians have to be Thanos level villain too. Eridans have been present since BL1, also Zarpadon in TPS mentioned the eridans a bunch and the power they possess. That's my take for the future of borderlands
You can't imagine how hyped I would be for such an outcome, fighting alongside with Jack and everybody else that has died, in a great war that has something to do with kind of mysterious forces would be so so awesome! I can't wait for the next Borderlands game, hopefully it's going to be as great or even greater as Borderlands 2 was as the devs seem to be taking their time for the next one.
If love to see everyone come back, there are a lot of storylines that are unfinished. I feel Lilith and Roland never fully settled things with each other and id love to see Maya come back and her and kreig get their conclusion. Jack would be nice just not as the main bad guy and scooter I just love him
Lilith is inside Elpis, Roland's dead, Maya is technically alive in Krieg's mind, and finally, Jack and Scooter are both dead. I highly doubt they'll bring back long-dead characters. ETA: Forgot that NTFTB was a thing, even though I literally just watched a video about it a few days ago.
Roland's death is one of the best video game deaths I know, I'd *LOATHE* Gearbox if they brought him back to life and just said "nah" to all the stuff that avalanched because of his death.
jack has done his story arc he does not need to come back and neither should he they need to make a new villain which i think with the trend of zainy unserious characters we could use someone who is 1: a serious threat 2: has goals beyond just power alone 3: isnt in constant contact with the characters preferably in way that the players and characters are seaching for him/her/they after discovering something they did in history or via unexplained phenomena and 4: preferably choosing weather or not the player was actually involved in the cutscenes. a serious villain would be a great way to change the image of ava which was destroyed in 3 when her arc really could have been good if maya's death was treated with any smidgeon of tact and probably would do a lot to show her (supposed) ability to lead or at least ability to learn. gameplay needs a overhaul but thats for a different video.
The essential question arose is... how are they going to make an interesting story after what happened on the 3 and NTFTB??? It would be a total miracle, the gameplay will be huge it's obvious but the story scares me
I have no faith after NTFTB, they have no respect anymore for the IP and have proven time and time again even with the BL3 DLC's that the direction they are taking is honestly fucking abysmal lol
As an actual mainline game the crystal probably isn't a good fit but as dlc it could be cool to be used as an excuse to bring back previously fought bosses but in a smaller more contained environment
I really disappointed that bl 3 is disconnected from previous bl title story(lack of mention of stuff or mystery stuff like the seraph) while even pre sequel had better story connection... They dont need to bring back jack or make jack like villain on next title... I mean they completely forget about the seraph.. yeah you can argue seraph is just dlc economy stuff from bl2... But it has good expansion potential for main story of who we are at war with? The seraph will be good candidate... Also if seraph is only just afterthought why do they need to went as far to add seraph vendor unique dialogue that hinted that we have to stop them (the seraph)... Its sad that they forget about it... Seraph could be made to be something that even eridian fear...
I just want the original Tales from the Borderlands crew back together again, after the car crash that was New Tales, it made me miss their story even more.
I just realized something. How would bringing back past sirens work if they're powers are currently being used by another siren. Like maya If we brought Maya back would she have her powers? Would Ava lose hers? Would we even be able to bring her back at all?
"The Watcher talking about how they need all the vaunt hunters they can get." The plot of the Borderlands Arena of Badassery board game is Mister Torgue cloning vaunt hunters from BL1 to BL3 plus 4 new ones for his own amusement, for a total of 24 vault hunters. What if...that's the Watcher's War and the Watcher is just really dramatic about it? :P
12:29 with that radiation your speaking of could be the eridium that she used back in borderlands 2 and in borderlands 3 to basically power up. similar to a drug in the borderlands wise and is known to not be good for them.
I want to see an Avengers Endgame Portals scene for a climatic battle in BL4. But instead of portals, all the Vault Hunters come flying over a cliff in Catch-A-Ride, with Ellie reigning down hellfire from Sanctuary (the ship). With the Ain't no rest for the wicked song playing. Imagine you're the new gen vault hunter. About to get obliterated by the giant vault monster god-king. And in the far distance, you hear a song playing on a stereo. Brick and mordecai in a car, Roland and lillith in another. Zero, Maya, Ava, krieg, Axton in a bandit technical car. Fl4k riding on a cyclone with an army of skags, jabbers and spiderants in tow. Zane flying in with Moze on her bear. Surprise guest, Handsome Jack comes in clutch with some hyperion bots.
One thing I want to know, is the Destroyer confirmed dead (it’s immortal), cause if not it’s likely to be the final villain. Now that might seem redundant since it was technically the final bass of both 1 and 3, but it was never the focal point of the story, never the ‘main’ villain that interacts with since the start of the story. The lore builds it up as this ever growing threat that evolves as it eats and is functionally immortal. Yet despite growing stronger and smarter after supposedly consuming the eridians it never shows sentience. I see the final war basically be a halo flood like scenario, where the Destroyer takes FULL center stage as it threat to consume everything in the universe, it may use use tech from the eridians or even the eridians themselves (zombies or something) to combat the player. This would be a threat requiring the help of EVERY vault hunter and warranting the use of a godlike item like anatheium gem, to kill completely. Hell it could probably banter throughout the game with the player in classic BL fashion since it’s meant to grow smarter as well. And the reason why the Seer might’ve tried to stop us is because the destroyer is meant to the natural end of the universe, becoming another big bang after it’s consumed everything and starting the process over. (A Ragnarock)
in my opinion i think the destroyer is dead due to the fact that tyreen fused with it, a mortal and immortal fusion would weaken their structure and make them killable
I don't want jack back like I love him but I feel like he was given a proper sendoff and there really would be no use for him back but if he did come back I would love to him at first work on our team but he still retains the hatred of bandits so like halfway through the story he tries to like betray us and then they can do what they want from there I think that would be really cool
Fighting alongside characters that died would be really cool, as long as the way they come back makes sense and doesnt discredit their death~ could even be in a “they will die afterwards” way hmmm
I really surprised that no one talks about the 7th siren, when borderlands lore originally was only 6 sirens can exist at the same time. Yet in borderlands 3 there was a echo log that mentions the 7th siren and we must not find the 7th
Tales from the borderlands directly set up for Borderlands 3, it only makes sense New tales from the borderlands would do the same. Did you see they cliff hanger they set up with timm-e? I believe he will have a vital role in the story for the next mainline borderlands game.
I think that if they do resurrect a ton of dead characters it's going to be limited in some way (like maybe the shard can only bring back people whom it itself has killed with ease and that the further back someone died the harder it is to not only bring them back but keep them back (making it so we might have to spend the entire game charging up the crystal for each resurrection and then in the final battle the crystal could be shattered severing the line that's resurrecting them putting them on a time limit and I suspect that the time keeper will have some young xehanort type limitation where characters can't be brought back only taken from a moment before they're death and at the end of the battle they are forced to return whence they came like imagine Roland gets brought back for the final battle and Lilith has to go through him dying again effectively I also suspect that anything the time keeper can do requires an equal trade like to bring someone who died ten years ago back the vault hunter must sacrifice ten years of there future as cost to pull it off Honestly I feel like the best possible way this can go is we have to locate the time keeper and shard but even with there combined powers all the characters resurrected can't permanently come back or if they can it will be at great personal cost (albeit I could see the lodge potentially coming in clutch or Tanis and fixing the problem (like imagine if those resurrected through the time keeper are temporally unwinding but the lodge can halt that while Tanis figures out a more permanent solution and the shard whilst resurrecting there body limits there lifespan or something
Borderlands 1 has made it clear the destroyer needs to die. Jack used its eye as a weapon. The twins wanted to use its power to snuff out all stars. Like what is IT able to do alone is a huge thread since the vaults was made to keep it away. I can imagine borderlands 4 is about finally killing the destroyer for good. The twins released its chains so can see it getting out of its vault in borderlands 4
The Seer in the Ava murder mystery dlc hints at Lilith still being alive, as well as saying we're headed towards a unavoidable event now bc of what Lilith did at the end of 3 which The Seer was trying to avoid, also in Myriads notes it says that we must never find the 7th, possibly a 7th siren which would be a big bad of the next game and a war with them if the other 6 get together.
Something Ive wondered about Lilith and her powers post Vault opening and with Eridium returning to Pandora is that in 2 there is a bit of timey wimey ness at work with her. We traverse like 2 maps spanning miles and fighting tons of foes to get to the Highlands where Floating Sanctuary reappears but Lilith teleported away again at least an hour ago and is just now showing up on our screens. Sure you could explain that its a cool visual and they just wanted to see it again but it does seem like her Firehawk powers in general dont really adhere to the laws of time and space especially when pushed to their limits. So Lilith could just show up somewhere in the universe years from now and feel like she just left which could be interesting as we again were warned "Not to find the 7th" and currently until Lilith reconsitiutes in the main timeline there is only 6(or 5 but Leech presumably is on its way to someone) sirens which falls in line with the rules of the universe meaning Lilith's return could be the inciting incident that kicks off 4s storyline especially if that story finally IS what The Watcher warned about
I think that the revive plot could work but it would need some restrictions like bringing people back to fight the war and then going back to rest. Like for example it could have been an eridian backup plan if things went really bad, but they probably couldnt use for some reason.
Outside of the Eridian guardian story, i'd like to see more storytelling for the Vault Hunter that we all have gotten attached to especially the BL 3 ones.
I believe Jack from the First Tales game I would like to think is in Borderlands 3. Rhys gives his Jack Eye to Blake and Hyperion creates the Jackhammer.
I think the only way where they bring back Jack and not get a ton of hate is if he's a playable character, who's in it to redeem himself to his wife and daughter after all the horrible stuff he's done.
i agree with this it's a good concept in itself his wife doesn't know what he had done so proving himself to angel that he wants to change would make sense seeing jack return could reopen the doplganger skill idea or potentially allow us to see a new skill tree or a potential new safe base if they were to attempt to rebuild helios at some point or some new space station maybe we turn sanctuary 3 into some type of helios 2 like space craft allowing us to maintain a larger army all cool ideas in my head
I personally would love to see all these ideas expanded upon. A war where “everyone is needed”, would be a great set up to flesh out these characters and stories in the BL world. Some other things; What is up with a 7th Siren? I want Mech Gortys back for a war! BL 4 will be developing on Unreal Engine 5 the game could be incredible and future installments can be even crazier!
I can think about a few more unfinished storylines there is the huge army of loaderbots at the handsome jackpot under the controll of moxxi, there is the think with the new leader of hyperion , maybe it is athena because it can explain why she is at the leader meeting from tediore and her gimmik was always a shield like the shieldfunction from hyperion weaponary sins borderlands 3 and in tales form the borderlands she was corupted by an dark magicy think. So there is a lot of open plots to continue.
It really could the the dragonball of loot and shooters if they flub up this story. I like the concept of bringing back (copium for maya) but it essentially reverses the point of borderlands story as sure the stakes may be higher than ever, but knowing there is a *way* to bring back dead people means once the honeymoon phase is over people will realize that somewhere we can have a dues ex ruin the tension.
The jack image seems to be from behind the mirror. Perhaps we get to play as Jack ourselves! The goal being to become all powerful and wealthy, which still falls into the world game play. Being able to play as the characters we killed in previous games would be a pretty cool mind bend.
jack could come back with the gem as; one of the reasons for him being evil was the death of his wife which the gem has the power to return to him under the deal of assistant. this would also if done right give us chance to see how jack would change or if he would change if given a complete second chance. note (in my opinion being AI jack isn't a second chance as an AI ghost detach from it all and possibly limited in action as his data is base on crazy jack I'm willing to text/say that jack may act differently than it.)
the fact that that artifact exists means that not only jack could come back but his wife and his daughter angel. Would getting angel and his wife back be enough to call it quits idk. Though could have a great double cross either at the end or during the lead up to the climatic fight.
I think the warpath bl4 could take would be really interesting. the plot in my head would be something like how the original eridians woke up from some sort of hybernation and saw how people have been opening their vaults so they decided to eradicate humans as a result. All pervious valulthunters including a new line of badasses would have to work together to fight for their existance. It would be super easy to rope the timekeeper, seventh siren, and all other loose plot threds into this overarching narrative that way. The crystal dude from new tales could bring back characters like Maya, Scooter and Roland. Another idea i had was that the seventh siren Nyriad warned about could be an eridian herself as a sort of prototype and/or Nyriad was that siren and was hybernating with the rest of her species. The corporations could (try to) settle their differences to band together and assist the vault hunters. Ava could die before the restoration of maya which would also be great.
jack says that only six sirens can exist without the universe imploding we know currently of three after troy tyrene and lillith exited the game. one of the dialogues from the queen i think says beware the seventh. perhaps what happened to lillith is that she got put out of the universe? whcih would allow the new sirens to get the numbers up to 6 while letting a 7th exist. perhaps the beware of the 7 message is meant to forewarn that lillith coming back would be catastrophic.
You forgot a huge potential storyline with the end of The Handsome Jackpot dlc with Moxxi owning the casino, with a loader army capable of storming half the galaxy. I strongly feel with that, Moxxi would want to end the corporate wars herself by teaming up with Jakobs, Torgue, and Sanctuary.
There are only 2 places to have more story for borderlands in my opinion. The 1st is: We find out who or why Angel got her powers, as Angel talks and helps guide the vault hunters of BL1 & BL2 while making Jack do everything he did, as we find out in the Tannis quest in BL3. It would be cool to play as the technomancer siren, and the story can take place in the outer rims or something like that long before BL1 with some other Vault hunters. The 2nd is that we pick up after BL3 in which your video is perfect for exploring new avenues of the story.
A more apt description would be that Jack felt compelled to "protect" Angel after what she did in the series. I'm specifically referencing what we learned in childhood's end in BL3. I don't want to spoil for everyone, so you might have to go look up that quest if you're not familiar with it. After this event Jack does a 180 and it's the main reason he is so uncaring.
Well having jack back as an antagonist would be a huge upgrade from the calypsos, but it would also be gearbox committing to the fact that the calypsos were bad and they peaked with jack as the villain.
Most like bl4 will be about trying to revive old friends back by time traveling maybe? Find and Defeat the timekeeper then start traveling. Maybe find jack to make him a good guy? Idk.
Man I wish gearbox actually cared about making a good story. At this point I have no hope for the story of these games. Borderlands 4 will probably be super fun but they just butchered all of the characters and plotlines in the past few games.
I still believe that vault monsters are sirens who get too powerful/exposed to Eridium and Sirens are just Guinea pigs for Eridium experiments by Eridians to make bio weapons. Their hubris was making a weapon too powerful: The Destroyer. Vaults are cages for vault monsters, as disposable guard dogs for their facilities or prisons where the monsters await disposal. Disposal method involved creating the Vault legends, letting people know about them, then letting people try to kill the monster. Fabricators in the vaults create whatever the person wants (i.e. Loot) but because it's alien tech it's inconsistent hence why the loot is random. The loot incentivises hunting more vaults meaning all the vault monsters are killed eventually. Or maybe the vault monsters are units in an army buried until the Eridians want to return to conquer the universe and releasing all the vault monsters at once is a great opening move when they return.
2:30 LOLwut? The ending of BL2 was all the prep needed. Remember the fan theories of the next game being called Borderworlds? People were absolutely ready for a bigger scale way before the wet fart of a story BL3 brought.
I'd like a new VH. Somewhere along the lines of Fl4k and Gaige but using everyone's favourite dancing bot as the companion. Maybe with the skill that Fl4k and i can't remember which skill tree it was but your companion used whatever gun you had.
For me, the storyline I want more about is the seventh siren, and why Nyriad warns about seeking her out.
Didn't Nyriad say that finding the 7th would be the end of everything?

You're correct, now I wanna know who got Steele's and what siren power she even had to begin with
All very valid points and I do hope that especially the war comes into play in 4. But there is one more thing. Nyriad mentioned a 7th Siren. That MUST be a big plot point of Borderlands 4
@BinaryDoesNotExist Cant. She is the Leech Siren one of the six we know
@BinaryDoesNotExist Nyriad was the leech Siren THOUSANDS of years ago. She imprisoned herself in the vault that Typhon and his wife found and freed her powers. Thats why when Tyreen and Troy were born they became the new leech Siren
Maybe the weird eridian creature that announced the war is a siren, it was never stated only human could be sirens
@@lucienhaulotte4049I feel like they would be human esque, the siren class reminds me of a witch
Great idea
ok but hear me out: MR TORGUE VAULT HUNTER??? *AGGRESSIVE AIR GUITAR NOISES*
It has to build up slowly like MCU, probably won't be till Borderlands 7
Nah. Lilith, Roland, Maya, Wilhelm, and Aurelia are all dead. It would make no sense
Lilith isnt dead and Wilhelm, and Aurelia are evil and dont care about the war
The watcher is mentioned by the guardians in the proving ground trials and the guardian takedown
Isn't it also mentioned in Mysteriouslier? Like that's the whole plot of the Directors Cut?
Nevermind, that's the Seer
Knowing Ava probably is our leader that bossing us around. Ain't too excited for BL4. But will still having fun for their gameplay regardless
I just got this in my for you page right after seeing the video of 4 😂
This would be a moment you wish Roland is still around, they will need all the leadership they will need
Right? I also feel they did Lilith dirty in 3, she had more character development in the Commander Lilith DLC for 2 than she did in BL3.

My wishlist for Borderlands 4:
The War the Watcher warned us about NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!
(Octavio needs to die)
No time travel at all
Finding Lilith.
Space combat
Eridian antagonist and last but not least MORE GUNS!!
Mostly agree, but why does Fran need to be back?
Also who or want do you think will be the final villain
I think it will be The Destroyer

Could you imagine rose (from bounty of blood) captain Scarlett (from bl2 ) teaming up ?

Would love to see all the current living vault hunters return with new/upgraded specials and skills
Nah that would make zero sense
So the idea of bringing everyone back for something as dangerous as the destroyer actually coming out of Pandora would be awesome, I mean, they already spilled the beans with such power existing in the universe with new tales, may as well go all the way.
guess we're all coming back to this video after the teaser XD
It makes sense that Borderlands 3 wasn't when the war happened. To me, "you're going to need all the Vault hunters you can get" sounds very much like "go out to other planets and find people to recruit", which is what happened in Borderlands 3 (assuming "Vault Hunters" here would be more akin to "adventurers" or "mercenaries" rather than the typical Vault Hunters that do the Vault Hunting thing).
Randy Pitchford: "Yeah but what If we have a secret seventh siren, the original, who is also an OnlyFans model"
Bro's just going to wait for the r34 💀

@@D_Quinn Im glad man cuz even tho i love BL3 the calypsos were so fucking disappointing I really hope they've got something big planned
I can't wait for the next Borderlands game, hopefully it's going to be as great or even greater as Borderlands 2 was as the devs seem to be taking their time for the next one.
they’re not gonna follow up on pre-sequel. it’s just gonna be more of the “lilith is awesome”show
If love to see everyone come back, there are a lot of storylines that are unfinished.
So bring every dead character back to life, honestly that's kinda wack and idk if I would like it. Makes it feels like no one can die
Everything past the second game doesn't even have the spirit
jack has done his story arc he does not need to come back and neither should he they need to make a new villain which i think with the trend of zainy unserious characters we could use someone who is 1: a serious threat 2: has goals beyond just power alone 3: isnt in constant contact with the characters preferably in way that the players and characters are seaching for him/her/they after discovering something they did in history or via unexplained phenomena and 4: preferably choosing weather or not the player was actually involved in the cutscenes. a serious villain would be a great way to change the image of ava which was destroyed in 3 when her arc really could have been good if maya's death was treated with any smidgeon of tact and probably would do a lot to show her (supposed) ability to lead or at least ability to learn. gameplay needs a overhaul but thats for a different video.
Lilith being a vault monster would be very interesting
The essential question arose is... how are they going to make an interesting story after what happened on the 3 and NTFTB??? It would be a total miracle, the gameplay will be huge it's obvious but the story scares me

Like maya
If we brought Maya back would she have her powers? Would Ava lose hers? Would we even be able to bring her back at all?
They'd probably come back as regular people
"The Watcher talking about how they need all the vaunt hunters they can get."
The plot of the Borderlands Arena of Badassery board game is Mister Torgue cloning vaunt hunters from BL1 to BL3 plus 4 new ones for his own amusement, for a total of 24 vault hunters. What if...that's the Watcher's War and the Watcher is just really dramatic about it? :P

I thought that the destroyer did die permanently because it fused itself with something living (tyreen)
Probably the could bring back Steele to since her siren powers still be a mystery
Since Steele died, my guess is that her powers have been passed on to the next playable siren.
i feel like the only direction for borderlands to go without getting dry and old would be to go the destiny route
I do remember in borderlands three There were cliffs you could scan and gave you history lessons. One of them was about a 7th siren.
I think that if they do resurrect a ton of dead characters it's going to be limited in some way (like maybe the shard can only bring back people whom it itself has killed with ease and that the further back someone died the harder it is to not only bring them back but keep them back (making it so we might have to spend the entire game charging up the crystal for each resurrection and then in the final battle the crystal could be shattered severing the line that's resurrecting them putting them on a time limit and I suspect that the time keeper will have some young xehanort type limitation where characters can't be brought back only taken from a moment before they're death and at the end of the battle they are forced to return whence they came like imagine Roland gets brought back for the final battle and Lilith has to go through him dying again effectively
I also suspect that anything the time keeper can do requires an equal trade like to bring someone who died ten years ago back the vault hunter must sacrifice ten years of there future as cost to pull it off
Honestly I feel like the best possible way this can go is we have to locate the time keeper and shard but even with there combined powers all the characters resurrected can't permanently come back or if they can it will be at great personal cost (albeit I could see the lodge potentially coming in clutch or Tanis and fixing the problem (like imagine if those resurrected through the time keeper are temporally unwinding but the lodge can halt that while Tanis figures out a more permanent solution and the shard whilst resurrecting there body limits there lifespan or something
Great ideas
After Bl3 and wonderlands, i really hope gearbox learned their lesson. Bl4 has to be perfect
What about Captain Scarlet from the pirate dlc? She's still around
So Lilith could just show up somewhere in the universe years from now and feel like she just left which could be interesting as we again were warned "Not to find the 7th" and currently until Lilith reconsitiutes in the main timeline there is only 6(or 5 but Leech presumably is on its way to someone) sirens which falls in line with the rules of the universe meaning Lilith's return could be the inciting incident that kicks off 4s storyline especially if that story finally IS what The Watcher warned about
I'm just here waiting your breakdown for the Borderlands movie. Really excited to see you take of it.
Captain Scarlet is a loose end still needs to be tied up. Also it would be pretty insane if Aslan De Vega is still alive.
No why can't we just leave Jack as a great villain and we kinda did play him as tim his body double
I personally would love to see all these ideas expanded upon. A war where “everyone is needed”, would be a great set up to flesh out these characters and stories in the BL world.
Some other things;
What is up with a 7th Siren?
I want Mech Gortys back for a war!
BL 4 will be developing on
Unreal Engine 5 the game could be incredible and future installments can be even crazier!
Okay but what if jack comes back as an ally and takes a bullet for Roland in a redemption arc

The jack image seems to be from behind the mirror. Perhaps we get to play as Jack ourselves! The goal being to become all powerful and wealthy, which still falls into the world game play. Being able to play as the characters we killed in previous games would be a pretty cool mind bend.
War never changes
Mmm this is true b4 might be better than b3 but we need more storyline that's what we might get mmm I hope they make b4 I think
jack could come back with the gem as; one of the reasons for him being evil was the death of his wife which the gem has the power to return to him under the deal of assistant. this would also if done right give us chance to see how jack would change or if he would change if given a complete second chance. note (in my opinion being AI jack isn't a second chance as an AI ghost detach from it all and possibly limited in action as his data is base on crazy jack I'm willing to text/say that jack may act differently than it.)
The multiverse is coming to borderlands
the fact that that artifact exists means that not only jack could come back but his wife and his daughter angel.
4 years later, and it still baffles me that they didn’t follow up on the Watcher and their “war.”
Talk about a wasted plot.
I wish I had your copium ngl
The fact that there are people still thinking that borderlands writers can pull off any satisfactory story after 3 lmao
imagine being able to play as all 16 vault hunters would be really cool. or maybe do it like ttwl and we become a vault hunter with varying skills
jack says that only six sirens can exist without the universe imploding we know currently of three after troy tyrene and lillith exited the game. one of the dialogues from the queen i think says beware the seventh. perhaps what happened to lillith is that she got put out of the universe? whcih would allow the new sirens to get the numbers up to 6 while letting a 7th exist. perhaps the beware of the 7 message is meant to forewarn that lillith coming back would be catastrophic.
Angel didn't make Jack do everything he did. Wtf are you talking about? You have major parts of the borderlands plot all wrong.
A more apt description would be that Jack felt compelled to "protect" Angel after what she did in the series. I'm specifically referencing what we learned in childhood's end in BL3. I don't want to spoil for everyone, so you might have to go look up that quest if you're not familiar with it. After this event Jack does a 180 and it's the main reason he is so uncaring.
id love to see more done with the bounty of blood dlc/the history of jakobs, just because of how good the environment of the dlc was.
Well having jack back as an antagonist would be a huge upgrade from the calypsos, but it would also be gearbox committing to the fact that the calypsos were bad and they peaked with jack as the villain.
I hope Ava is the first casualty, just so the powers she robbed Maya of can be given to literally fucking anybody else
Bruh you do a great job on these videos, enjoy them alot
Idc what happens. But if either jakobs or hammerlock die, ima be real hurt
2:30 LOLwut? The ending of BL2 was all the prep needed. Remember the fan theories of the next game being called Borderworlds? People were absolutely ready for a bigger scale way before the wet fart of a story BL3 brought.
I would love a sequel to Guns, Love, and Tentacles about Hammerlock and Wainwright going back to the planet for their anniversary
Jack being the new Frieza would be awesome. BORDERLANDS 4 RESSURECTION OF J
The gem "you random npc number 69 from borderlands 2 you will go to back to the land of the living and fix things" lol
This video is about to blow up and I know it
The watcher actually is mentioned in the gaurdian takedown
They gotta bring back Anthony Burch to fix the shitshow the writters did in bl3
I kinda want them to expand on the Eridium cartels that the seasonal event was about, there's potential for really cool stuff there
All roads lead to *Lieberman.*
I'd like a new VH. Somewhere along the lines of Fl4k and Gaige but using everyone's favourite dancing bot as the companion. Maybe with the skill that Fl4k and i can't remember which skill tree it was but your companion used whatever gun you had.
The Seraph Guardians and Crystals are something never mentioned again.
