G'day, many thanks for your compliments! I wouldn't be tempted to winter drive it particularly as they are so light and the little 14" tires are not winter types. These little ol cars (as you know) use a less viscous grade of oil and so that becomes also problematic in terms of the challenge it can be to start em in very cold temperatures. My work around is to use a magnetic block heater to keep the oil relatively "thin" meaning the engine doesn't have to struggle as much to turn over. I suspect if you have a 77 model the headlights wont have a great deal of power as the alternators of that period including the headlights do not produce significant amount of power to produce what I consider is necessary to light up the road in the depths of winter. Very large vehicles dominate the roads in Calgary so its a risky decision during the winter months to be out there among those big guys as they are not (generally speaking) on the lookout to be aware of such a little machine as the MGB. Enjoy your MGB as much as I ! Peace and health
Beautiful mgb, I have a 1964 in restoration.
Thank you very much! It's been very rewarding to take it this far myself. I love driving it
