I'm making the queen Elizabeth doll for my grandmother in-law. I have the famous women in history crochet book but I've only done a doll once and have no idea why I couldn't figure it out this time. Been stuck on blankets for family Christmas gifts so my amigurumi skills feel dull right now. 😬

I use a running stitch marker like that, too. I don't think that's as common.
