For the newer f150 models I had to take off one of the “bottle openers” on my tailgate in order for it to close. Other than that. Might need a rubber mallet to “snap” it in.
Not sure if the 2024 Ram 1500s with the flex tailgate comes with them or not. Plan on getting a factory built one to my liking when I build enough credit for one
Just installed this on a 2020 F-150. A few observations. 1. The included directions in the packaging were not accurate or applicable to my vehicle at all. 2. The design of the bottom piece has changed since this video. You now have a pre drilled hole in the piece that goes over the bottom tailgate bolt. The top tailgate bolt has to be removed and reinstalled over the mounting bracket. 3. The top bracket that goes on the bed has two pre drilled holes. The instructions do not say which hole to use. I used the top. 4. The Deezee version of this add on comes with clear paint protection to add on to your tailgate and box to protect areas where rubbing may occur. This kit does not include any. Overall, it seems to do what it's supposed to do. Time will tell how it holds up.
Misleading. Would be great if they had a video for the more invasive installation on Dodge Ram. The paper directions are in black and white with poor enough contrast that it’s unclear what is going on in the photo. Now a “simple and straight forward/ quick easy installation” requires me to bore a hole and purchase a nutsert tool. Shame that was not made apparent during checkout. Zero stars.
Quick ? Easy ? NOT TRUE , Now bet they gona charge me to return !! my f150 has to be drilled for a part, and my chevy i have to buy another tool to install? VERY misleading !!!!!
Perfect video. Short, sweet & to the point.

What could I use for my 2008 ranger
I got a 12th gen was aware you had to drill holes in thought it was just a bracket like this one.
do you need for both sides?
this gonna work on a 01 f150?
My stupid tailgate screw is so hard to come off, i stop trying because indont want to chew the screw up
why only on one side?
only designed for one side unless you want to drill a buch of holes in tailgate..
What happens to the shock, when you forget about it, and slam the crap out of your tailgate when closing it?
What do you mean?
