I don’t get lost on the bank board anymore. I learned all the notes on my fingerboard. And I also learned how to read music finger style guitar. I’m not lost with anything. I just have to work at it a little harder. Good advice have a great day super cool video people will learn if they take their time. No one is going to be Jimmy page 6 months down the road. It takes years of hard work and endurance. I know I’ve been playing for 51 years. You don’t know how many times I wanted to quit, but I kept going, glad I did😁🎼🎵🎶🎸
Thanks Korey. I'm not sure I have enough years left in my life to master guitar to the level I want to. And certainly not to your level. But I understand everything you're laying out. The mind understands, but drilling this down to the fingers without thinking is very challenging. It has given me plenty to focus on in my retirement. Appreciate your sharing!

@@garethmartyndavies2250 that’s the point though, you need to know the interval value of the notes you are playing, and where most intermediate players are struggling to improve is they are only thinking of the guitar as muscle memory or a finger thing, it needs to be the brain and the ear as well.

I know most of my notes on the fingerboard quickly but recalling them at tempo is a challenge.

@@garrycole8909 absolutely! Most of this could be accomplished in a year or so with an hour a day!
@@KoreyHicksGuitar I play 4-5 hours a day. So I have to narrow my focus. There is just so much!
Solid lesson! The triads were great!

Great video. Thanks Korey. I'll be back practising over this. Do you have any active pickups on that lovely tele. Great playing. And guitar.
