this sidearm was part of my loadout the first time i went flawless in trials. it wasnt even a good roll, but just being able to 2 tap barricades at pretty much any range is such good utility
As someone who comes from a background of arena shooters, Indebted Kindness is a breath of fresh air, I honestly think we could deal with more skillshot projectile prediction weapons as in my opinion, they're the most fun to use because of their skill gap
I fell in love with this sidearm since I first laid my hand on it, I can't get enough of it, I like it even more than the dungeon exotic, it is so much fun to use
I got volatile launch/high explosive ordinance/beacon rounds/voltshot with a Blast radius MW. Clocked over 6k kills with it so far. By far my go to option for special weapons because of it's versatility.great vid Lego.
My first drop was voltshot, enlightened action, flared magwell, volatile launch and a stability masterwork. Almost had the 5/5 just missing the reload masterwork
one tip go for high explosive ordnance, maybe some other, so when you put backup mag you push it to 12. deconstruct cos it rounds 10% returns you 2 ammo, but also instead 48 max ammo you can carry now 54. doesnt work with 13
@@Legoleflash with 4charm on uzume, 4charm on supercluster, doesnt work with overflow and reconstruction. adept mag can push uzume tactical mag to 7, on shotgun tactical with backup pushes to 8. uzume with 3 reserves banner gives 28. just 4charm turns 7 shots into 11
Even without a damage perk this thing shreds in endgame pve, tears apart shields in a few shots and downs orange bars quickly with a huge ammo reserve. Easy s tier in my books
@Legoleflash its great for stasis setups too as it can innately one tap crystals and in doing so procs its origin trait giving it boosted reload, can also proc deconstruct i believe? Making that a viable option.
I have an enlightened action and permeability roll that I like. If your chasing volt shot the new smg subjunctive is a good alternative and it's a primary 900 smg.
First one I ever got had Loose Change/Permeability and after messing with it for a while, I really enjoyed it with strand or void. Just got Beacon Rounds/Voltshot thought, so that’s probably taking its place now…
Overall great video dude. Gotta say I love your work because you're always right on the mark and bring a great personality into your vids. I really want that sidearm (and the crossbow!), but I think the dungeon is bugged for me. The last 5 runs have been exactly the same, giving me a piece of armor from each chest. The real kicker is that on each run, the piece of armor is the same one for every single chest. Super cool getting 4 class items from a solo dungeon run. Not at all disappointing or frustrating, especially since all 5 runs have given me armor (the first two runs it was arms for every chest), and zero weapons. Zero. I've never had anything in the game bug out the rng like that. Maybe I should try farming the first encounter to see if it will reset or something?
ABSOLUTELY try farming that first encounter. It's ridiculously fast, and easy on fireteam finder. I've been running it OVER and OVER for a roll on the strand bow, and in the process I got every roll I could possibly want on the sidearm. Win/win I guess!
@@Legoleflash for sure! I've been meaning to for a few weeks now, but every time I log on the crucible sings it's sweet siren song and all other cares and concerns melt away until I log off and realize I forgot about farming the dungeon! Again!
I have actually come to really like this thing. It's not my go-to for most things but if I need anti-barrier and don't want to use wisheneder I've been loving this.
Gotta say another quality video Lego. Info that one doesn’t have to have a physics degree to understand and always remembers to keep in mind the fun factor. After all, isn’t that what games were invented for. Keep in mind I come from the generation that had to go to an arcade to play and got 3 lives for a quarter.
My first Voltshot roll was with enlightened action and it’s probably my favorite legendary special weapon now lol. You never have to really worry about ammo and it clears out whole rooms with ease. By far the best PvE combo until surrounded gets fixed
Was hoping to use this as kind of an energy slot forerunner for pvp, but sadly, it’s tough to use & inconsistent. Hope it gets some love for easier use in pvp down the line
This weapon is a lot of fun. I think it's the pace you shoot at. It's not a spray of bullets and it's not one shot.... reload.... one shot.... reload in a GL. Or chaaaarge shoot, chaaaarge shoot of a fusion. You get a nice clip, a good amount of ammo, and it's effective and efficient damage.
Can't be converted because i already love the damn thing. Hoping to see a kinetic/strand/stasis option one day. I've been carrying an enlightened action/volt shot roll around for a month. Use it pretty frequently.
I don't know if they buffed it or not but deconstruction is crazy good on that thing, 15 in the mag allow to shoot 23 (Sometimes 25) shots to a boss giving a ton of free ammo, and on mobs at least 20 usually
I’m running a double special IOT build on warlock where I basically stay in the air and carpet bomb everything, before this sidearm came out I was always trying to find something else to use but this is absolutely perfect for the build
Love the video and detail, was going t o ask if Jotunn is the only other weapon that can 2 tap a titan barricade? Indebted Kindness is better in this instance since it has better ammo economy after breaking a barricade! I do like how Jotunn also scorches the area too and flushes people out if you place it right
i had an enlightened action roll/voltshot and i will say the reload definitely feels faster than impulse/voltshot. that being said I wanted max velocity over blast radius but maybe that was wrong to prioritize. some ppl say the blast radius increases are minimal, so i thought velocity might b better
Does Lego have a regular live streaming schedule? He's the only D2 content creator I've seen praising my favorite sidearm ever, I actually despised sidearms before this beauty fell on my lap.
Hey this is super encouraging but I actually don’t stream at all! I work a ton of jobs and UA-cam is just an extra to be a part of this community 🙂 you can find me live on Destiny Community Podcast every other Thursday, but it’s just talk, no gameplay
Out of curiousity, did you check how much mechaneer's tricksleeves does for this thing? in PVP especially, but I am interested to see its pve effect as well...
So far ive got around 11k kills using it with the Arc subclass. The special ammo arc blinding explosion you can get with the class makes this thing CRAZY. I got a max blast radius role with Voltshot beacon rounds. I almost never miss and reload after every shot to get a tracking voltshot round. I honest to god believe that this outclasses forberence and other waveframes in almost every way. I combo it with fallen Sunstar and get my super back within 40 seconds depending on the location.
I hate voltshot on every weapon that has it. Reloading after every kill is super annoying. Who needs to blow up a spawn when you can just use an auto-loading blinding GL to make them all wander around harmlessly? If they're still alive when it wears off, just do it again. It's not like you're gonna run out of special GL ammo anytime soon.
I run it for my major builds for pve with surrounded and lead from gold with a heavy ammo mod and the gun is just incredible. I got it as the first drop was dying to try it and as so as I did my jaw hit the floor
Deconstruct is working great in pve. Landing shots on anything gives ammo back for free. Use it normally and get free ammo. I have a lead from gold deconstruct roll that feels like it has infinite ammo
This has been a mainstay in my double special loud outs. The ammo economy is super generous so I can keep pumping round after round into every foe of the Traveler with this and my stasis rapid-fire fusion rifle (460ms charge time) god roll Riptide
Very good weapon. I run it as a utility weapon in pve, served me well in the birthplace gm at least. Lead from gold is a must for me really, can practically use it as a primary
This has to be one of if not the best sidearms in the game got a Beacon Rounds/Voltshot roll its a add clear machine and does decent damage to majors and bosses as a backup option
That’s a wicked set up permeability since it’s on energy weapons 14:00 min I liked the enlighten voltshot roll you got that’s a nice way for reload handling great video Lego!
Yeah! I was actually trying that out with the seasonal artifact mods too when making it solar, I just wasn't digging it as much as the other options. Like I said though! Pretty flexible!
people always forgot how underrated the rocket-frame sidearm is, its basically a scaled down xenophage or a explosive tip forerunner in the legendary slot, and its bloody nutty.
@@Legoleflash mainly the vex cyclops and scorpion turrets. But I don’t need deconstruct, it’s mainly offhand strike that makes it feel so good to use. I could trade deconstruct for something else but it’s the roll I have. Just saying that I prefer my offhand strike roll over my voltshot roll. Though I think offhand strike + voltshot would be better.
I never thought about permeability being too good, but you were kind of spitting about it being versatile with whatever build you use in the future. Also, 2 tapping barricades might change my life. Gotta grind for this now 👍
@@Legoleflash As someone who often runs into the triple bubble titans meta in trials, I’m really hoping that having this as a pocket trump card will be a viable option in the future. Dope video man, keep up the good work
i absolutely adore voltshot on Indebted kindness, its the best special weapon for it and works well with arc fragments like spark of beacons to blind any target that lives through the jolt
Absolutely! Love the extra boss tick damage I could do on the DPS setup too. It's just a perfect right down the middle of the road special weapon for everything.
@@Legoleflash special finisher with this sidearm is also super nice as you get 16 shots back each time, the sidearm has become a must for double special playstyle in my loadouts. plus with the total damage output being good its not a bad fall back option when you run out of heavy and special for your other special
@@Legoleflash The roll i got my hands on was linear compensator, high-velocity rounds, impulse and voltshot with a handling masterwork. and honestly as an arc hunter main primarily, it is the best i could have gotten, flow state and amplified max out my handling and reload so velocity increases was the stat i wanted to dump my points into
Awesome, I pretty much have your PvE roll but with a blast radius MW. I haven't used it yet, but it'll give me a reason to and break out my Point-contact cannon brace build
@@Legoleflash I had a mental block on this gun too. I was pretty disappointed not having normal barrier options and resigned myself to using Wishender (no qualms on that though), but this will give me some options for sure.
Hey lego, when you showed the radiant frostees hunter I couldn't help but sigh in frustration. I only play warlock and I find aggravating that radiant hunter just gets to use certain types of weapons and perks to their maximum potential for free because of the easy and immediate access to radiant, such as: Adaptive pulse 2 bursts Swashbuckler lightweight bows Swash 140 hc two taps Trust golden tricorn 2 taps And now two body rocket sidearm and the permeability perk (can't remember right now if there's more) Should I just "make a hunter then" and stop with the salty tears? Having a hard time finding my niche in pvp tbh
I'd lean into the strengths you do have if you like the warlock playstyle. Warlocks are the only one with: - Fusion exotic boots for auto radiant on any class - 15% buff on class ability - exotic for auto generating lumina buff - exotic for INSTANT Amplification eating a grenade (super jealous of that one) - Blink exotic for some of the fastest movement in the game - The best Ariel abilities in the game Sometimes I wish I was better at the floof, I love some of this stuff!
@@Legoleflash Tonight I'll try out your suggestions! It's been forever since I used lumina I think I only ever used rain of fire for double gl shenanigans once and with vex xenoclast, could probably run a fusion in the kinetic slot to double dip I tried using empowering rift but it never worked out in my favor compared to healing rift so I guess I just use it wrong What else does amplify really do on top of the handling and speed boost? Only ever used getaway artist for its synergy with centrifuse but the main selling point was the arc soul without the aspect investment I agree, astrocyte was very, very fun when I used it
@@unusualthoughts2658 yeah the enhanced arc soul AND ridiculous speed and handling boost is just huge. It's more neutral game stuff, but when you consider the damage from arc souls on top of normal TTK, it's so strong.
For boss dps I'd actually recommend deconstruct. It procs around your 6th to 7th round and refunds 2-4 shots per mag just for getting hits and I believe it buffs damage vs bosses by about 15%. Pair with Anarchy for arc mods and you can deal some crazy damage. In one warlords ruin run, I did over 6 million damage with this combo.
Hmmm, it says for bosses that Deconstruct doesn't buff damage on bosses/mini-bosses or anything like that, just constructs and vehicles (confirmed in DMB science docs), maybe that final boss in the Dungeon counts as something different? Will have to look into it.
@Legoleflash a lot of bosses/mini bosses count or are programed as vehicles. Pretty much anything doesn't walk on 2 legs seems to count as a vehicle. Even then, some 2 legged enemies like colossus and I think wyverns also count as vehicles. So generally you have 50/50 odds of getting the damage buff, and even without it the ammo from thin air is pretty nice for a special or heavy and that part just procs on rapidly landing 60-70% of the mag.
The roll im looking for is explosive ordinance + Beacon rounds + Permeability. 3 hours of farming 1st encounter and still haven’t got it, haven’t even got beacon rounds let alone the combo i want.
My frustration with this sidearm is that it is not penetrating all shields like all my other sidearms. It won’t go through hydra shields and acts weird with phalanx shields. Very frustrating.
Why is Enlightened Action off the table for DPS if you're not hitting as many different enemies? Wouldn't it still ramp up in 3 shots (impact + explosion) on a boss? Gives swap handling too for DPS rotation. + Very funny roll was Loose Change + Voltshot. Doesn't quite work all the time because of some spaghetti but still quite funny.
Sidearm sponsored by Torque! Its really fun to use. I'm happy with my lead from Gold / Voltshot roll and I look forward to getting some extra rolls after this video

I had seen your farming this for weeks straight from the dungeon with LFG fireteams! Kudos to your dedication!
What’s funny is this isn’t the even what I was going for! I just happened to love it anyways!
Begs the question of what you were actually going for!
@@beshman 😉😉
this sidearm was part of my loadout the first time i went flawless in trials. it wasnt even a good roll, but just being able to 2 tap barricades at pretty much any range is such good utility
Almost had the 5/5 just missing the reload masterwork
one tip go for high explosive ordnance, maybe some other, so when you put backup mag you push it to 12. deconstruct cos it rounds 10% returns you 2 ammo, but also instead 48 max ammo you can carry now 54. doesnt work with 13
Yeah deconstruct got a BIG buff after I published this, it’s going to be a big game changer
@@Legoleflash with 4charm on uzume, 4charm on supercluster, doesnt work with overflow and reconstruction. adept mag can push uzume tactical mag to 7, on shotgun tactical with backup pushes to 8.
uzume with 3 reserves banner gives 28. just 4charm turns 7 shots into 11
I cannot express how clutch beacon rounds and adagio is in onslaught and other high density enemy activity.
Even without a damage perk this thing shreds in endgame pve, tears apart shields in a few shots and downs orange bars quickly with a huge ammo reserve.
Easy s tier in my books
Absolutely. Kind of crazy people are knocking it saying it can't make the cut, can't fathom not wanting one of these!
@Legoleflash its great for stasis setups too as it can innately one tap crystals and in doing so procs its origin trait giving it boosted reload, can also proc deconstruct i believe? Making that a viable option.
3:27 knowing what we now know about prismatic, and potential prismatic weapons... damn bro. you nostradamus.
Possibly the best breakdown of a D2 sidearm I’ve ever seen.
Wow! Huge compliment, thank you!
I have an enlightened action and permeability roll that I like. If your chasing volt shot the new smg subjunctive is a good alternative and it's a primary 900 smg.
Damn these edits go HARD. Earned my sub for sure
Hey thanks for checking things out! The edits and info are always something you can rely on here! :)
Again!
@@ShutchyerLips HA I FEEL That calling FOR SURE.
I got one with the velocity perk 3rd column and adagio in the fourth column. Hmmm sounds interesting.
Gimme permeability + kinetic tremors on a kinetic primary
Can't be converted because i already love the damn thing. Hoping to see a kinetic/strand/stasis option one day. I've been carrying an enlightened action/volt shot roll around for a month. Use it pretty frequently.
3 months later, have they fixed Surrounded yet?
I don't know if they buffed it or not but deconstruction is crazy good on that thing, 15 in the mag allow to shoot 23 (Sometimes 25) shots to a boss giving a ton of free ammo, and on mobs at least 20 usually
I’m running a double special IOT build on warlock where I basically stay in the air and carpet bomb everything, before this sidearm came out I was always trying to find something else to use but this is absolutely perfect for the build
Oh that’s awesome. Sounds really fun!
Love the video and detail, was going t o ask if Jotunn is the only other weapon that can 2 tap a titan barricade? Indebted Kindness is better in this instance since it has better ammo economy after breaking a barricade! I do like how Jotunn also scorches the area too and flushes people out if you place it right
The new sidearm is so good especially with voltshot and the arc fragment that blinds enemies on kills while amped
i had an enlightened action roll/voltshot and i will say the reload definitely feels faster than impulse/voltshot. that being said I wanted max velocity over blast radius but maybe that was wrong to prioritize. some ppl say the blast radius increases are minimal, so i thought velocity might b better
Got my yesterday and is Impulse Amplierfier and Surrounded
I got super lucky that my first ever roll was enlightened volt shot! Mine isn't a complete god roll, but it's damn good! Nice video btw!
Adagio + Beacon Rounds is my favorite roll with Mechaneers Trick sleeves. Absolute beast in Gambit and a nice roll overall for general gameplay
oh that's true, that is a great gambit weapon.
What other fragments do you run? I'm loving this on arc as well, but just curious how someone else is running it.
Adagio feels so good. One minor kill and then I’m dropping dps on majors and champs. I like volt shot too but I tire of the shoot reload loop.
Next up: riptide?
Lead from gold + Deconstruct is a sleeper pick, makes for some great double special loadouts
This has to be one of if not the best sidearms in the game got a Beacon Rounds/Voltshot roll its a add clear machine and does decent damage to majors and bosses as a backup option
Totally agree. It just does it all!
That’s a wicked set up permeability since it’s on energy weapons 14:00 min I liked the enlighten voltshot roll you got that’s a nice way for reload handling great video Lego!
i love this new frame so much, can't wait for some preferred rolls
The one i have is not so good right now, and it still slays out in pve. I cant wait to get a better one than loose change deconstruct.
Don’t forget you can also cause ignitions with this as well, using well of radiance.
Yeah! I was actually trying that out with the seasonal artifact mods too when making it solar, I just wasn't digging it as much as the other options. Like I said though! Pretty flexible!
@@Legoleflash give it a go on warlock with wings of sacred dawn, and Phoenix dive..!
It’s a little bit of a hassle but still fun to get going, with the right fragments..! :-)
I love that side arm for grand master nightfalls it one shots barrier shields and it does lots of damage
I really enjoy beacon rounds and voltshot for PvE, beacon akes it feel so good
people always forgot how underrated the rocket-frame sidearm is, its basically a scaled down xenophage or a explosive tip forerunner in the legendary slot, and its bloody nutty.
Yeah the fact that this isn't EXOTIC is crazy.
Yeah we “already forgot about” a weapon that’s practically brand new 🤣
@@Legoleflashyeap its peak perfection
@@lucasblanchard47well i see no one using it where im from aside from a small few
I have surrounded with impulse amplifier. Never tried it though. LoL
I love the way my off-hand strike/deconstruct roll feels for PvE add clear. I use it more than my lead from gold/voltshot roll.
I also feel like deconstruct isn’t working for those Vex cage bubbles. It takes like 6 shots to break myself out of a cage.
What all are you using Deconstruct on? Genuinely curious! I couldn't find that much of a use for it.
@@dranek yeah! That'd be a pretty great combo! both activating at the same time too.
I have surrounded impulse and it’s the only option for lost sector ab popping. Wishender for thrilladrome maybe.
Ooooo! And it's going to get even better!
I never thought about permeability being too good, but you were kind of spitting about it being versatile with whatever build you use in the future.
Also, 2 tapping barricades might change my life. Gotta grind for this now 👍
Yeah permeability is REAL fun. Hopefully they buff deconstruct, because it would make the titan barricade breaking utility a must have.
@@Legoleflash As someone who often runs into the triple bubble titans meta in trials, I’m really hoping that having this as a pocket trump card will be a viable option in the future. Dope video man, keep up the good work
@@HolyD2Blink thank you! and SAME!
8:43 - WTF?!?!? Since when can you throw a Strand football and grapple to it as it's traveling?
How did I never know about this?
i absolutely adore voltshot on Indebted kindness, its the best special weapon for it and works well with arc fragments like spark of beacons to blind any target that lives through the jolt
@@Thanvils YES. The double special loadout with this works so good!
I haven't used it yet, but it'll give me a reason to and break out my Point-contact cannon brace build
yeah I was using this thing just last night. It's so good for breaking those barricade champions!
@@Legoleflash I had a mental block on this gun too. I was pretty disappointed not having normal barrier options and resigned myself to using Wishender (no qualms on that though), but this will give me some options for sure.
run two specials both with lead from gold and its gg then just heavy ammo finders. i use this as a primary instead
Hey lego, when you showed the radiant frostees hunter I couldn't help but sigh in frustration.
I only play warlock and I find aggravating that radiant hunter just gets to use certain types of weapons and perks to their maximum potential for free because of the easy and immediate access to radiant, such as:
Adaptive pulse 2 bursts
Swashbuckler lightweight bows
Swash 140 hc two taps
Trust golden tricorn 2 taps
And now two body rocket sidearm and the permeability perk (can't remember right now if there's more)
Should I just "make a hunter then" and stop with the salty tears?
Having a hard time finding my niche in pvp tbh
I'd lean into the strengths you do have if you like the warlock playstyle.
Warlocks are the only one with:
- Fusion exotic boots for auto radiant on any class
- 15% buff on class ability
- exotic for auto generating lumina buff
- exotic for INSTANT Amplification eating a grenade (super jealous of that one)
- Blink exotic for some of the fastest movement in the game
- The best Ariel abilities in the game
Sometimes I wish I was better at the floof, I love some of this stuff!
@@Legoleflash
Tonight I'll try out your suggestions!
It's been forever since I used lumina
I think I only ever used rain of fire for double gl shenanigans once and with vex xenoclast, could probably run a fusion in the kinetic slot to double dip
I tried using empowering rift but it never worked out in my favor compared to healing rift so I guess I just use it wrong
What else does amplify really do on top of the handling and speed boost? Only ever used getaway artist for its synergy with centrifuse but the main selling point was the arc soul without the aspect investment
I agree, astrocyte was very, very fun when I used it
@@unusualthoughts2658 yeah the enhanced arc soul AND ridiculous speed and handling boost is just huge. It's more neutral game stuff, but when you consider the damage from arc souls on top of normal TTK, it's so strong.
@@Legoleflash
I'll play with it some more then!
Thank you for the advice!
I’m looking for beacon rounds and volt shot for the lazy ad slaying
@@trich742 yeah that is pretty nice. Will have to keep it in mind!
The roll im looking for is explosive ordinance + Beacon rounds + Permeability. 3 hours of farming 1st encounter and still haven’t got it, haven’t even got beacon rounds let alone the combo i want.
Your video has made me now consumed Destiny content, which I haven’t desired to watch (unfortunately) in weeks. Thank you.
Im Running Wish Keeper
This side arm with Permeability
and Catafract GL3
Hunter strand build.
triple strand, very useful in grand masters Nightfalls
I'm definitely gonna try this with mechaneers as well for my hunter
My frustration with this sidearm is that it is not penetrating all shields like all my other sidearms. It won’t go through hydra shields and acts weird with phalanx shields. Very frustrating.
You didn’t mention it specifically but does voltshot spreading proc enlightened action?
Why is Enlightened Action off the table for DPS if you're not hitting as many different enemies? Wouldn't it still ramp up in 3 shots (impact + explosion) on a boss? Gives swap handling too for DPS rotation.
+ Very funny roll was Loose Change + Voltshot. Doesn't quite work all the time because of some spaghetti but still quite funny.
Sidearm sponsored by Torque!
Its really fun to use. I'm happy with my lead from Gold / Voltshot roll and I look forward to getting some extra rolls after this video
Could imagine the power of Riptide paired with this.
Will the anti-barrier champion artifact mod make this able to penetrate Ward of Dawn?
