This was written about his time in Little River Band. He felt very restricted in his time with them (his microphone lead was actually shortened & taped down so that he couldn't move around on stage.) John's vocal range is from A4 to G5, astounding! There is a great video called The Vocal Range of John Farnham, well worth a look & listen. So good to have you back, and thankyou for your honest reactions. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺💕
Yes, I've heard LRB did that with his mic lead. Always felt very disrespectful. They say that the best revenge is living well...in this case having a great hit song or many😃 Great song, great reaction.
Well this could well have been written for his first manager who wanted him to just keep doing cute songs and wouldn't let him use his own 'rock' style...It wasn't until Glen Wheatly came along mortgaged his own home and allowed John to blossom. You can hear John's anger can't you. Must say that the guitarist was brilliant....wow but then again everyone in the band loved John and some stayed for 20 years or more. You've been very busy today sir lol. For which I'm very grateful lol
Please do more reactions to the great John Farnham. In this concert John and two of his backing vocalists do an epic version of “amazing grace”. John can sing anything and is the only one that has had a number one over 5 decades. Thank you for reacting to our John.
Yes, long before the stunning artistry of Dimash, there was a Vocalist, and Song Writer, with a voice of great beauty and flexibility, enormous range, finely tuned musical intelligence, a hugely engaging stage presence,, and perfect pitch - who loved to skip around within and across most genres. A man of great humility and decency, and that is 'our John'. 😍🤩
Richard Marx has a 4 part series on UA-cam where I believe he got up to about 16 different genre’s thatJohn does naturally. Richard is very talented in many ways, not just singing. John was so surprised when Richard walked on stage to play the piano for him. He gets surprised that famous people know him. Now UA-cam has so many more listening. Thank you.
WOW!... was my reaction, too! I see what you mean when you say he hits the mark. That whole performance was fire! Powerful and tight. Hey, I just want to add that I appreciate you having supported The Warning a while back by reviewing their masterwork album, _Queen of the Murder Scene._ Since then, they have released a standalone single, another album, and had a song on _The Metallica Blacklist_ album, and as they embark on a tour across the US and Europe, they have a new single, "MORE", due out May 12. Hopefully it can be added to your queue!
Oh! A new one for me. I love his backup singer Venetta Fields, I once went to see "The Black Sorrows", lead singer Joe Camilleri, Venetta was the backup singer for them at the time, Sydney 1983. Great show too!
G'day from Australia. Love your reactions the one guarantee when watching your reactions is I always leave with a smile on my dial. Now I don't think you have heard John singing Opera so could you please react to John Farnham and Anthony Warlow elevates us to new heights (Grenada) not only is this a great singing performance from both men it is also a good laugh.
Love that you love our John. He can do no wrong. This is a fantastic song ,his dark side reached out to everyone at one time or another love to John and you sir ,wonderful reaction xoxo ps one hell of a guitar riff
Give Farnesy song lyrics and 1 practice run and he could've sung nearly any song better than the original. Maybe I'm bias but i genuinely think hes the most talented I'll ever see!
If you want to see his flexibility watch this theatre plays Jesus's christ Titled Gethsemane 1992 Sydney final night This isn't something I'd normally listen to but he makes it into a gem again Cheers mate hope you get to watch and enjoy 🦘🇦🇺👍
Since his first song Sadie in 1967 as an 18 year old,, he has been the one to set the style and genre for Australian artists through the decades. As always, I love your reactions.
I don't know if you've heard his big hit from the sixties 'Sadie the Cleaning Lady', but this is nearly twenty years later and worlds away from that classic. And even today Aussies wish that he could perform once more. A freaking amazing writer, singer and performer. I'm so glad to see he's being recognised internationally, because he never got that in his 'heyday'.
Yep, any genre wait till you see him with the Little River Band! Farnsey is the G.O.A.T.! I keep saying it, because it’s 1000% true! 💗💗💗 the reaction and it’s shared on our fab page! I hope you’re going to love the parcel I’m sending to you!😃😃😃
One of your videos is hidden for me so not sure if you've seen John Farnham singing Amazing Grace with his backing singers for gospel, When Something is Wrong with my Baby duet with Jimmy Barnes for soul, Bridge over Troubled Water for plain epicness, or the duet Granada with Anthony Warlow for opera. All live, of course. Others have suggested 'In Days to Come' and 'Angels live with Lisa Edwards (2000)' as well, all fantastic suggestions. Thank you sir 🎉🎉 looking forward to the next one.
Master Aussie guitarist Tommy Emmanuel once said "John Farnham is God showing off".

Thanks for doing my reaction. It’s great to see you back and doing awesome reactions once again.
Great request. It's one of my favourites ❤
You are the GOAT reactor in my humble opinion 😊. Honest, intellectually savvy, a good judge of talent and people. Amen
Richard marx said John voice was God showing off
Chamelion is the exact word Richard Marx used to describe him when he discovered John Farnham. Then he was lucky enough to go on to perform with him
Not just perform, but also collaborate with him co-writing a few songs!
Everyone in John’s band is so good at what they do, epic, the best of the best. Brett Garsed on guitar awesome.
Great reaction and this is why John is the only one to have had a number one hit over 5 decades, he’s able to adapt and never fails to impress.
Thank you for being you!!! 😊❤😍🥰🫠

I totally agree. And probably to some other boofheads in a certain band who did the dirty on him.
❤❤❤

Yes it makes sense..... he becomes whatever he is performing at the time
I know you reacted to him singing “when the war is over” live 2003 but gotta check him out singing it in this same concert
Could listen to you talk forever😁❣️🇦🇺
Thank you so much 😁
@DramaSydETV looking forward to the podcast
Hello Thunder.
Other awesome reaction....
Pretty sure this was a spit in the eye to all the people who put him in the wrong box for for all those years
What a voice!
I was 14 when I first saw this, I'm now 50, it's great to see this still being appreciated. Brilliant, love your channel sir 👍👍👍

She was also back up for Cold Chisel’s Last Stand tour. Jimmy handed his mic to her for River Deep Mountain High OMFG what a voice she has
That's what us Aussies love him and quite often write that he covers every genre's the flexibility is astonishing
He is definetly the voice of all time and music genre.

All these years later and I have just noticed the magical disappearance of his jacket. 0:37
Wow, awesome performance and love that guitar work! Thank you for another lovely reaction.
I hope you get to see him with Ray Charles. He shows such great respect for Ray & they perform John Lennon's IMAGINE ❤
One of my favourite John Farnham songs…. 1 because it rocks and 2 because he wrote it…. Great way to end Whispering Jack album….full of punch.
Great music needs no explanation, but yours is always spot on. Thank you!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love the vibe in this song, and of course John cause I don't know who's better equipped to convey it.
One of my favourites songs from my favourite album of his - Whispering Jack ❤
Another great song by John Farnham. Loved the guitar
Love this! Great reaction.. Think you’d really like ‘Have.a Little Faith (In Us)’ too 😊
Great tune by John. Agree 100% that there’s nothing the man can’t sing. 🔥🔥

This one for some reason reminds me of the Gloria Estefan latin brass pop of the early 90's.
👍
Have you heard John sing opera?
Another....DuuuuD!!!!!!!!
You my enjoy him doing this one too 😊
