Apparently Richard O’Brien expected Meat Loaf to fluff some of the lyrics to Hot Patootie as due to its fast pace, it would be easy to fluff them. Meat Loaf nailed the song in just one rehearsal.
Tim curry‘s singing voice is so unique and so attractive to me. Especially when he sings that words “cover” in the beginning and when he goes “ha-ha” in the chorus. He absolutely nailed this role.
Well, he DID have a make up crew for the film I'm sure. They perfected the look, and I doubt he pulled this off in one take. That's why we have movies, to create perfect moments.
First time seeing it back in the 80's in theaters with full audience participation. It was such surreal events. Years later i had always wondered what the actual movie was about because objects are flying and the audience is throwing out lines (hilarious ones of course) it throws the whole narrative off. Such a unique cinematic experience because it just grew organically. That cant' be duplicated or replicated.

You get a baggie of shit and go wild), and the fact at my first show I had my RHPS cherry popped by a lovely lady passionately slapping my ass with a 5 foot long purple dildo bat in front of an entire crowd (including my mother and grandmother who were in tears laughing at how not ready I was lmao). Actors are encouraged to go off script and play with the audience.
That's what made Rocky Horror Rocky Horror. When it was just an ordinary movie, it bombed. When it was crazy and a whole lot of fun, then it became great. Been into this movie since the mid 70's. Remember seeing the trailer back then. It was great.

Story Time With Mom: My friend's high school age older brother and his buddies took us to see Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1980 when I was in 7th grade and I can honestly say the experience blew this then 13 year old girl's mind wide open. We saw it at a theater called The New Loft and it was featured at midnight every Saturday for years. Many people in the audience were dressed in costume, threw toilet paper ("Great Scott!") and sprayed water during the rainstorm scenes. I still fondly remember the experience 43 years later. Thank you David Shack wherever you are for graciously allowing your little sister and her skinny nerdy friend to tag along that night so long ago - it became a cherished memory I'll never forget. ❤

I was 15 when some older girls took me to see this at a midnight Georgetown (DC) theater. Fresh from living in Europe, I was highly annoyed with the audience for making it impossible to hear or watch the movie. I was also shocked (sheltered boy) at what I was watching. It took a couple of years, and yes more viewings, before I could actually appreciate the show. Today, I have the entire show on my play list and I frequently listen to it from start to finish. I hope that Tim get's better. It's Happy/Sad to watch him fight for his fans in his Zoom video's. Lot's of Respect for his strength and determination.
