I wanted to write a Texas song about what truly makes Texas different from anywhere else. For me, it's the proud and independent spirit of the people who live here...a spirit which has continued from the Texas Revolution all the way up to modern times. We still just don't like being told what to do!! But we've got big hearts and take care if each other. God bless Texas!

I have been arround the world, I am not from Texas, not even from USA, but spent a year in Texas, as for me, Texas is a paradise, and I must say you people are lucky, here where I live, far away from USA I have met some Americans from Northern States, and I can't understand they had negative attitude towards Southerners, especially Texans.
We as Texans find it pretty humorous how northern states regard us. They say we are full of ourselves cause we used to be an independant country of our own and a lot of us feel like we'd welcome going back and leaving the 🇺🇸. When i lived in New Mexico people knew immediately where i was from and if they happened to be from the North especially New York they didnt waste any time trying to get me riled up by talking trash about my state. I know what my state is worth and will always be a PROUD TEXAN so they never succeeded lol

Aye, red dirt. I've recently taken a liking to this type of wonderful music. I am a rush/ozzy/bls/SRV/Hendrix/JoeBonamassa kind of guy, I have some earlier country songs I like...time marches on and what that womans been doing to me steve earl ect:), but music like zanes which is real and not trashville or pop-country crap is something that is not only refreshing but invigorating. For example Turnpike, Jamie Johnson, Cody Jinks and now I'm happy to add Zane Williams to that list. The Texas music scene is blowing up and I hope these guys get taken along for that ride and end up in the stratosphere to be enjoyed and appreciated the world over :)

A beautiful song. With all due respect, what about the ORIGINAL Texans?....the Latinos and then there's the blacks who many were performed thankless hard labor. These folks also gave sweat equity, have well contributed on all fronts. I don't see any in this video...Texas is a blend of many cultures.
