One of my mentors in the late 1970's, Walter Wolf, PhD at the University of Southern California, was an early advocate and researcher who directed primary research in the use of monoclonal antibodies. It has taken a long time and extensive efforts by many medical scientists to reach this point in the clinical application of monoclonal antibodies and in the research to utilize monoclonal antibodies to deliver chemotherapy and radiation directly to cancer cell.
