Not sure about *the* stare as I tend to not always pay much heed what my face is doing. However, the other morning on my way to work it was dark when I started walking from the trolley (alone), someone had started taking some sketchy movements towards me, so I intentionally shot them a real nasty warning glare. It was effective. They turned and went off in another direction.
I don't know if other INTJs are like me but I don't think I purposedly control my facial expressions to look more serious. It's rather that neutral expression is my default mode because expressing emotions on my face is tiring, so I have to make a concious effort to express or accentuate my facial expressions most of the time so that people understand them.
You don’t have too put so much effort. If you “go neutral”. The moment the person or you feel close enough... we are actually very animated. Its tough for people to be cloae enough. You should encourage them by smiling when they keep up with your thinkin5g first and feeling secondary. Also, gently remind them, you are a right person to come yo for help on a prolem. We are very unlikely to be up to somethng - how we feel, we reserve for the sick and old. We will walk away if you try to attack my frkends or mess witb the peace.
As an INTJ I call crap on the whole we have this certain look. It's more like if we are in a serious mood. If we are in a relaxing environment with people we know none of this applies.
I have to agree with you. We're not all copies. Though there are generalizations that do trend in carrying over across specific groupings of people, everyone is also unique when taken as a whole. Also, I think he might have a cultural bias in his assumptions that he may not be aware of or simply failed to factor in. Especially in regards to his mention of hand gestures. Some things (like hand gestures) vary WIDELY across many disparate cultures.
Not all INTJ look like Mark Zuckerberg at a senate hearing... but stereotypes exist for a reason. The assumption is neither true nor false. I feel it's conditional & depends on circumstances. I've been a victim of "what's wrong" or "are you mad" most of my life. 😅 How dare me not be ruled by my emotions!! People are bothered when they can't "read" us. Forcing emotions to make people more comfortable takes energy. I'm comfortable letting people assume whatever they want about me.
I agree. I have often told people to stop trying to assume how I feel based of my body language because your assumptions would be wrong. If you want to know how I feel of what I'm thinking just ask and I will tell you. Also, if it's obvious that we are not paying attention to a conversation, we've mentally checked out and are thinking about something we find more interesting.
Idk about thinking "the look" is crap. As a non INTJ, I see y'all have a serious, contemplative and even guarded look in almost every situation. The look doesn't match the hilarious jokes and mood you give off, but it's there regardless
I really enjoyed this video. Yes, I would love to know more about INTJ body language and the death stare! I enjoyed your older videos on body language and expressions too. I especially enjoyed the INFP ones, because I am an INFP. But I'd like to know more about the body language of other MBTI types too.
I love the effort he put into making it work together. I’d only like yo add: if you getting the soft eyes: you in the club. If we are all bring eyed... Let my people go!
People always tell me that I'm like stoned or drunk, that's how my gaze is look like, lol. Because of this it's hard to tell when I'm really drunk or high.
Any Intjs out there find themselves doing these strong, emphatic (tightened fingers) hand gestures in a rhythmic way, in time to their words, for emphasis?
INTJ here. Pretty good, yah, I’m rather deliberate in what I communicate. Strong intent. Often serious and focused. Can become lost and disappear. Lots more very point on.
I swear I dont do it on purpose but people at work understand me after being around me for about 11 years. They used to say I have a resting B@#%H face. Its also works great as a do not distrub sign.
Do you ever notice that INTJs have dark eyes? I'm largely Scandinavian, and have light hair and skin, but blue-black eyes. Your eyes are very pretty, but dark also.
He’s discribing us when we are with “the chosen few”. Or our intimate partner. My death stare never works. People just keep going - instead of going away.
By yours, and others' descriptions of INTJ, it seems often the INTJ is rather always at the ready to cut people down, to de-humanize their behavior or actions and discount their presence, ideas or POV if it doesn't align with their own. In other words, it seems the default for INTJ is to break people down, rather than build people up which could explain a bit of their reticence to laugh or just relax in lots of situations, and where others see them often as robot-like automatons in their private video game life of trying to level UP. How can anyone be friendly to this type of person and come away feeling any type of GOOD from their interactions?
Wow ... that's so not right. We want to help because we do care quite a bit. The problem is that our help comes in the form of solutions to the problems we hear instead of just letting you cry on our shoulders, tell you it's OK and then carry on in your chaos. Don't bring us a problem without expecting us to really try to solve it for you. We do hear and sympathize, but a problem that makes you feel that bad demands a solution so we try to provide. The thing is that a lot of people, like you, see that attempt to help as "cutting people down".
Ive watched alot of your vids, there's no way you're an INTJ, you come across as ENFP...your demeanor is extroverted...youre too smily and feeler type ish...
Have you ever given someone the INTJ death stare? 💀

profile pic = how I hope my face is looking. Can someone say something incredulous or improper? Trying to "channel" a death stare....
I didn't know there was an actual name for that. I've been calling it my "Don't be stupid" or "You should know better" stare.
Everyone
7:37 well and there is that smirk that i have when i know im right or know that i have done something according to my plan

Wait, INTJs have facial expressions? well, you learn something new every day.
Lol! good burn
😑
Thank you, sir. Watching it now.
I've watched this already.... Oh... wait. 😑
Occasionally

As an INTJ-A, I agree with this

I love how both intj and infj lead with Ni but both appear so so differently in physical patterns.
my friends all tell me i stare too intently, so then I try to look away and it makes me look nervous or uninterested instead 😭
Hahahaha hard relate. People don't get it I'm either too intense or don't give a shit lol I'm like foreal do I look like that foreal lol
Just be naturally yourself.
When we are hit with something we don't like we will flinch in response to what we are hearing.
This is the most accurate description I’ve ever heard. Thank you!
This is so true. The INTJ gaze is intimidating. They seem like they are looking right through you. 😂 I’m an Enfp
We do ;)
I am. And I see all the bs you try to sell me.
one time I gave someone the death stare and he actually died.
I can't control my face expressions!😭
Like I got told from several people I'm angry! I was chilling... And I got told from my teacher why I'm shocked!
Great performance in front of the camera, that seemed like one long shot. That’s hard to pull of, actually good job 👍
I really enjoyed this video. Yes, I would love to know more about INTJ body language and the death stare!

Man you're scary.... You know too much about us it takes me off guard
My facial expressions and never been described as “relaxed” and when I smile at someone people usually think it’s fake
.... serious and controlled. Indeed, sir. This 5w4 INTJ enjoyed your detailed description!
I love the effort he put into making it work together. I’d only like yo add: if you getting the soft eyes: you in the club.
If we are all bring eyed... Let my people go!
Please we want MORE VIDEO'S on this. this was so HELPFUL.
Superintressant och allt stämmer så bra! Imponerad av hur du kan beskriva det så tydligt. Tack Erik❣/INTJ
You explained that very well!
We sizing up how much we love you and why.
Let’s clear this up we don’t look through or past we look inside one’s self
Great video 👍
Erik, Are you Swedish ? I noticed similar accent as PewDiePie's
Yes :)
5:13 If I smiled that way at people on a regular basis, they would think I look seriously deranged. Best if I don't.
Surprisingly we also smile sometimes
How are you so spot on on your explanations? Do you study MBTI or psychology professionally?
People always tell me that I'm like stoned or drunk, that's how my gaze is look like, lol. Because of this it's hard to tell when I'm really drunk or high.
Informative video and accurate as well 😊
A female INtJ here 😅
I hollered at the smile 🤣 accurate
Enjoying guys so muchx)
You can do a 13-minute long video on INTJ facial expressions?
Any Intjs out there find themselves doing these strong, emphatic (tightened fingers) hand gestures in a rhythmic way, in time to their words, for emphasis?
The palm thing he said is acccurate but not sure about the finger.
INTJ here. Pretty good, yah, I’m rather deliberate in what I communicate. Strong intent. Often serious and focused. Can become lost and disappear. Lots more very point on.
I like this ❤️👍
Oh..shiiiiiitt he outed us!!!!!
love this
I swear I dont do it on purpose but people at work understand me after being around me for about 11 years. They used to say I have a resting B@#%H face. Its also works great as a do not distrub sign.
Do they have expression?
My goal is to be a relaxed laser beam, and my idol is the Terminator.
Why to double the video?
That's because I'm not really there.
1.5x speed is a must.
Same.
Imagine and Intj with a funny resting face and they give you a death stare
💀Thats gonna be hilarious
🤣🤣🤣
Do you ever notice that INTJs have dark eyes? I'm largely Scandinavian, and have light hair and skin, but blue-black eyes. Your eyes are very pretty, but dark also.
Loved this video so much!
I feel like I'm not an INTJ afterall..cuz I got none of these..
I'm INTJ - is there any body of actual evidence to back this up?
Hand info - BS. Agree with the death stare though, I'm expert at that.
He’s discribing us when we are with “the chosen few”. Or our intimate partner.
My death stare never works. People just keep going - instead of going away.
Im a straight girl and u r cute
thanks ☺️

U got it totally wrong

He never claimed to be INTJ. He said he was an INFJ.
Hes INFP
I am mildly irritated by this video because what??
